Public beaches, paved trails, etc. Or you can just hang out and watch the various wildlife that frequent the property. The 5 acre area where our campsites are located is wooded with mature oak, maple, walnut, elm, and white pine trees. We're isolated and surrounded by wild areas and natural farm land but just a 10 minute drive to restaurants, groceries, fuel, and other amenities. The Ann Arbor area is home to a huge array of world class events from the Ark music venue to National Champions Michigan home football games and a whole lot more. Downtown Ann Arbor or Dexter or Chelsea is only a 15 minute car drive. White Lotus Farms, which has a wonderful farm market on Saturdays from 9 - 2 and Wednesdays from 9 - 1, is a 10 minute walk down our dirt road. If you forget to bring something that you need, don't hesitate to ask! We've got a growing number of camping essentials for rent or sale for very reasonable prices that can make your stay even more enjoyable: from bug repellants to camp chairs, potable water in 2.5 - 5 gallon containers, and more. This 50-acre property is part of a 130-acre farm and is currently an organic heirloom vegetable seed farm that is only 12 minutes from Ann Arbor. Part of it was formerly owned by the Egeler family who at one time owned quite a bit of Marshall Rd and this part of was owned by the Mersereau family. It was formerly a conventional farm, but we've converted it to organic production. The rolling land is 1/2 forest and 1/2 fields, making it a biodiverse hot spot for plants, animals, and fungi.

First, I’ll say make sure your vehicle can handle a little bit of backroad driving, but once you get there, the campsite is lovely. Secluded, relaxing, with easy access to a facility and a great firepit. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful as he got us set up at our site. Not much I can say besides it was a lovely time all around! Thank you for lending us your land for a night!

This little patch of heaven is just what anyone needs. Tucked away between two busy towns you feel like you're actually up north. Secluded campsites with all your basic needs (fire pit, chairs, potable water) fire wood bundled for a small fee and a privacy house that includes lanterns and toiletries. The hosts are wonderful people. I had a great conversation with Cori. They have excellent communication as Micheal answered all my questions and provided a map of the area I'd be setting up at. The property has many little trails to venture around during the day. The sites were clean and well kept. A little early morning traffic sounds are unavoidable even a mile away from the main roads but pop in your ear plugs and "poof" your back up north amongst the forest for the a relaxing morning. At night, I was serenaded by a local owl and that was magical. Quiet, secluded and for anyone wanting a quick getaway from the metro area this is the place to visit. Quiet seclusion and yet a 5 minute drive to two different small towns for food or drink. You pair these amenities with the graciousness of the hosts plus the low rental cost and you'll be hooked on becoming a regular here. Thank you, Michael and Cori for offering us all to your property. I can't wait to book here again!

My husband and I parked our converted schoolie for 2 nights here. Our camping spot was wonderful- very private, beautiful, flat. We loved our time there. It was one of the best places we have camped on our 2 month trip. Unfortunately, we never met our host, Dori- next time…. (Though her communication was great.)

It was our first hipcamp, and it was wonderful. We paid for an earlier arrival and set-up in the NW corner of the backyard area. It was very quiet, peaceful and we had our dog off leash for the majority of the time. We visited the surrounding nearby metroparks on both days to take advantage of hiking and the Huron River. We walked our dog off leash on the beautiful camp farm property. My wife and oldest daughter visited with the goats, duck, and chickens inside the fenced in pen. The baby goats were so fluffy and soft. It was probably the most diverse wildlife camp I've ever had as well. Coyotes in the very distant crying and howling, owls hoot hooing, deer, a donkey (not wildlife) hee hawing at a neighboring farm, roosters (not wildlife) doing their thing. Thank you for opening up your beautiful property. We will be returning.

Our experience with Hipcamp was a little different than most, I’d imagine. This was our very first time using it, even though our group has been camping our whole lives. We were in Ann Arbor for a concert, and since all the hotels were booked, we decided to give Hipcamp a try and booked with Dori. At first, we thought we’d be tent camping, but plans changed and we ended up bringing an RV instead. Dori was incredibly quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating with our changes. Her directions were clear and easy to follow. The property itself was beautiful—set back off a semi-dirt road with a long driveway leading past her home, yard, barn, and a pasture where goats and chickens roam. We parked our RV near the woods behind the barn, which gave us a quiet and private spot even though there were other campers around. Getting to and from the concert was simple—we had no problem being picked up or dropped off by Uber. Overall, this was a wonderful first-time experience with Hipcamp, and we would absolutely return just to camp and enjoy Dori’s land again. We’re grateful this opened the door to more unique adventures ahead!

The site was nice; an wide open plot of lush grass with tall shrubs encircling it so we weren’t right next to the road, although it was audible still. Right next to the Lefurge Preserve, which was really beautiful the morning we dropped by. Lyanna was very responsive and kind!
