Weekend Trip to DaltonTraders Base Camp-Grand Cabin
Way way way better than you would think! Close enough to everything and nothing all at the the same site.
Host was perfect in every way, had everything ready, cabin warmed up, even with our delayed then delayed again arrival. If you are thinking about taking your camping gear, ask first. Ed probably has everything you need. Just a cooler and food for the weekend.
If you've ever closed your eyes and imagined what it would be like to wake up one day after 30 years of living in the woods and finally have that "list" done. This was what is was like sipping coffee on the porch this weekend.

I received a warm welcome from Pamela. She happily obliged all my questions about the goats! The tent site was comfortable, surrounded by beautiful pine trees and nice wandering walking trails. The outhouse was cute and clean. The eggs were delicious! I will keep this place in mind for another time.

Scott and Christine's 11 acre land was a peaceful place to be at. Their camper was a sweet experience for any family that loves to be outdoors and enjoy the luxury of being home away from home. It's perfect for small families and larger families.
We brought our family pet dog along with us and he loved the camping/glamping in an RV as well as running around on the trails that Scott and his family have on their 11 acre land.
It was beautiful to leave the city and be in the sticks of the charter township, Comstock. At Scott and Christine property we fully enjoyed hearing all the serene sounds of nature that you rarely hear in the hustle and bustle of a city.
Inside their RV provided everything needed to camp/glamp; pots, pans, cooking utensils, cleaning supplies, flat skillets, griddles, grills, Dutch oven, conventional RV oven, microwave, RV stove, eating utensils, paper plates, paper and plastic cups, Keurig coffee maker. Literally everything you could think of that you would need or want to camp/glamp comfortably was already there.
They even had shampoo/conditioner, body wash, anti microbial hand soap, cleaning supplies, deep woods off spray, first aide kits, full body towels, hand towels etc, to keep clean. We brought our own toiletries. It definitely was a cozy home away from home.
Don't worry if you forgot to pack anything because chances are that Scott and Christine got you covered.
Bring your loved ones and have a relaxing time.

Absolutely wonderful time!! The hosts are amazing and the camper plus campsite is perfect with everything you may need! Our dog was able to be off leash entire time even during trail walks. We will most definitely be back for another trip to total relaxation and serenity! Thank you again Scott and Christina for an amazing time!

This was our second time on Ed's property and it made us want to return for a third visit! The cabin is quaint and had everything we needed! The land is secluded and beautiful and our dogs loved walking the paths Ed has developed throughout. Thanks again for an incredible stay!

My family and I had an amazing weekend at Scott’s camper, they have everything set up to get you started for a great family camping trip. We wanted a quick easy and relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got. He even came down to the camper to introduce himself and make sure we were settled in, they allowed our dogs to explore and it was all around a great experience.
He started us off with lots off wood and even showed us how to get the fire going (beginner here)
His camper was well maintained and clean.
He even had a table to set up by the fire, a fan, shampoo and games! At night time I was able to log into my Netflix account and unwind on one of 3 tvs the camper has to offer. The surroundings were peaceful, and quiet. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time enjoying the wilderness up in this beautiful Treehouse. We were lucky enough to see a group of turkeys walk through the site. We are looking forward to planning another visit in the future.

Loved my experience! Was just looking to spend a night under the stars and get out of Grand Rapids for a night and this was the perfect spot for it. Had the campground to myself, since it was still March. All was quiet and peaceful. Wish I could’ve had time to meet the animals! I do plan to come back sometime to do so. Got some farm fresh eggs and left feeling rejuvenated. Thanks so much!!

If you're looking for a unique glamping experience then this is the place for you! We had so much fun! The night we stayed it rained all night and we enjoyed listening to the rain on the roof. Provision farms was welcoming and a neat place to explore. We will definitely be back.

A wonderful stay enjoyed by us and our two dogs. A rare warm weekend in March, so the cabin stayed cozy with ambient temperature. Very quiet surroundings, comfortable and easy to enjoy a campfire outdoors, a nice food prep area indoors. Definitely the most immaculate, comfortable outhouse port-a-john I've ever seen! Camp is a short drive to hike in Muskegon State Park and visit downtown. Ed's a very thoughtful and friendly host!

We loved our stay at Dalton Traders Grand Cabin. Peaceful and quiet. Weather was unseasonably warm so we did not need the woodstove. Had some lovely rain showers overnight which made the cabin even more cozy. Very private with the cleanest porta potty I've ever seen. Ed was responsive and very welcoming. Cabin was clean and well organized. Close to downtown Muskegon and the state park where we found some excellent hiking opportunities. We will definitely be back next winter for some snow sports!
