In case you plan on fishing the local hotspots on Lake Huron (15 minutes away) and are trailering a boat, there is plenty of area to park your rig during your stay.
It's only a ten-minute drive to Pinconning, where you can experience Michigan's "Cheese Town" and all it has to offer. There's a grocery store, numerous cheese shops, and a variety of party stores and restaurants. For the outdoor enthusiasts, don't miss out on going to the ever-famous "Northwoods Wholesale Outlet". Great spot if you are looking to get away from city noise and lights. Heard nothing but nature. Dennis was quick to respond. Dennis came to check in with us and ask if we needed anything shortly after arriving. If you like coney dogs, stop at the coney trailer in Sanford. We will be back.

This is my second time staying here, my first time being about a year ago! This time I knew to take my time and plan out at least a couple days to stay. "The Elysium" is such a majestic property that feels like it goes on and on and on! I really enjoyed walking the trails and paddling on the pond with my dog - both stretch from the front of the property allllll the way to the back cabin in the words!
It is super quiet out here, and the stars shine so bright. It was lovely to see that they've added an outhouse, and all the new animals on the farm! Goats, chickens, doves, bunnies, emus... The cutest thing I saw was that one of the baby goats made friends with a wild baby dear! They would play together in the evenings around sunset time, and sometimes the bunnies would join them. It felt like straight out of a Disney movie!
So much time and love has been poured into making the Elysium what it is today. It absolutely shows, and moreso, can be felt the moment you arrive on the site. I don't know when I'll be back next, but I do know, I'll be back! This might be my most favorite Hipcamp I've come across yet :)

I absolutely loved it! It's very private, peaceful completely in nature. The swimming hole was absolutely awesome! Me and my 4 year old had a blast. We kayaked they had community kayaks, fished and swam. There are trails those were nice too have multiple exits in case you don't want to walk the whole thing. Water and portajohn was close like a 5 mins walk from our site. I would go again for sure! Chip came and took our garbage too! There's cooking grates for open fire cooking, firewood provided. Was just a great spot to get away and shut off for a while!

My partner and I absolutely loved this site! It is definitely the one to choose if you are looking for privacy, it is far enough away from the other sites that noise from the common area doesn’t carry over. Not a lot of sun makes it through the trees, which made tent sleeping very comfortable! The trails on the property were very pretty and we loved fishing in the lake, the baby bluegill are pretty hilarious, and I caught a good sized catfish! We also loved the free firewood, we will definitely be back next summer!

This place is beautiful! We had site A, which was the most secluded and perfect for those that have fur children. There was a lovely pond with kayaks to use as well as lawn chairs. The directions were easy to follow, and Chip had firewood already set up, the fire ring was nice and big. It's probably 10 minutes from Mt. Pleasant, a perfect place that feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere with the conveniences nearby. Definitely will be back here again!
