Our driveway is located about 3 miles from the start of the Boston Marathon, 8 minutes from 495, but, down a country road. We find our property to be quite peaceful. We do have crickets and frogs to lull you to sleep and early birds to greet you in the morning.  Keep an eye out for turtles! We are a few hundred yards from either Upton State Forest or Lake Whitehall. Lake Whitehall is popular with boaters (speed limit enforced) and is stocked with fish. No swimming. There is a public boat ramp on the other side of the lake. We often put in our kayaks at the entrance close to our house. We hike, mountain bike and picnic in these parks. It's really beautiful.  There is a 24-hour grocery store 2 miles down the road.  The gravel campsite is located at the barn end of our driveway in front of the red barn. There is a little privacy from the house, but, we may need to get into the barn from time to time. We have a 30amp and water hookup at the barn. If planning on using electric please add one "electric hookup" extra to each night of your stay BEFORE finishing the request to book, it's really difficult to add it after. Please plan to bring 50' of hose and/or 25ft of electrical cord if using hookups. There is wifi, BUT, it's pretty weak at the barn. Definitely not strong enough for streaming! Our Ibex camper may or may not be parked next to the barn depending on if we are out camping!  We do not accept car campers. Turtle Path also has a Guest Suite. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.

Thank you for a great 2025 season, as our 6th season closes, we still maintain a few sites for late Fall/early Winter (tent & van/camper sites)! Enjoy the Vermont Countryside year round. Our farm is nestled along a country road between several other farms, mostly horses and a special needs/therapy farm, we are hobby farmers/homesteaders. We have three sites open anytime, during camping season (depending on weather), either all three tent camping sites or a mix of one or two for camper vans & small trailers (into late Fall/early Winter). The Guilford Fairgrounds is less than 1/4 mile away and has many hiking and biking trails. The land was originally part of a colonial Glebe Trust with the Church of England and divided up, the original 100+ year farmhouse and barn can be seen from many of the campsites. Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. A community with a long and interesting history, Guilford was actually Vermont’s largest town as long ago as 1790. Now, with a population of about 2,100, its by no means considered a large community yet with its beautiful old covered bridges, churches, and one-room schoolhouse, Guilford maintains an unmistakable sense of history while at the same time having a reputation as one of the truly unique small communities in southern Vermont. Guilford has some of the most quintessential small town landmarks in all of Vermont. Sites like the Christ Church, Broad Brook House, and Guilford Center Meeting House were all built in the early 19th Century and are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Find us on that other website! Shortly after we moved in we discovered a large snapping turtle on his way from Lake Whitehall to the creek at the back of our property. Our neighbor told us that's the turtle's usual route. Turtle won our hearts that day.

Guilford, Vermont is located in the southeast of Windham County, resting along the Massachusetts border to the south and New Hampshire not far to the east. At one point in the early 1900's it was home to itinerant farmers who farmed the nearby fields. Our property was the dumping grounds for the stones/rocks that were pulled from the fields. You will notice lots of them throughout the property! Our site is a well manicured area near our house on a 3-acre parcel. We stayed at the hilltop site with our campervan and family joined us with their RV as well. The four of us and our two dogs had a very pleasant time. It was nice to have a fire pit and picnic bench available to use, and our neighbors were a fair distance away for a bit of privacy. Very quiet and peaceful there, and conveniently located if you’re planning to go to apple fest at wachusett mountain.

Great spot! Open field, lots of sun, and somehow private! Very quiet except for a project (apparently) up the road with truck traffic and chainsaws until 8:00 Saturday night- but I think that was unusual judging by the surrounding area.

Easy access to beautiful Chapman Pond (100 yards away), which is stocked with Trout and also home to Bass, Crappie and Perch. Great place to fish or just relax! The use of two kayaks and firewood available at no extra charge. (IF using the kayaks, they are to be brought back to the campsite and NOT left at the pond. If they are left at the pond and stolen, campers will be responsible for the replacement cost, which is about $600.) Lots of wildlife (loons, turtles, geese, deer, bear etc). You're free to explore the land and trails that go part way around the pond to the "Big Rock" and beyond. Info at the campsite for other nearby hikes and activities. We allow public access to the "Grassy Area", however larger camper groups that book this site have full access and are welcome to setup tents there, but no fires are allowed on the grass.. only in designated fire pit. (FOR THOSE WITH A TOW BEHIND CAMPER, you will want to drive to the pond boat landing at the end of Chapman Pond Rd, turn around, head back towards the campsite and BACK IN.) FOR THOSE WITH DOGS, we love dogs, we have our own. For everyone's safety and well-being we ask that you please keep them with you and under your control at all times. We have a farm nearby and want no casualties because of a loose dog. Also, our 90 lb APBT is very friendly but not to every dog he meets. $20 PET FEE - 2 DOGS MAX. SMOKERS, we allow smoking at the site but please dispose of your butts properly and help keep our property beautiful. All around beautiful and peaceful campsite. City of Keene is 15 minutes away.
