45-acre Historic farm, several sites to choose from depending on adventure wanderlust (including a 4WD drive site). Located on private gravel lane, approximately 1/2 mile off county road. Either corn or soybeans with a woods backdrop. Secluded and private, yet 25 minutes to downtown Annapolis, 10 minutes to the Bay, great for cycling, paddleboarding, kayaking all 10/15 minutes from farm. DC 45 minutes, Baltimore 1 hour. Jug Bay wetlands, wineries, fun little waterfront towns and Bay front restaurants all within easy reach.

Caroline County Maryland is a wonderful place to visit with plenty of opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking in nearby Martinak and Tuckahoe State Parks,Adkins Arboretum, access to public boat ramps, touring the Harriett Tubman Byway,produce stands, wineries, orchards,and close proximity to the Maryland and Delaware beaches as well as Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in neighboring Dorchester County. We're also less than two hours from Washington D.C., and Baltimore, and less than an hour from our state capitol, Annapolis.

The house was so cute a cozy. It is a real house with electricity, internet, TV, dvd player, and Netflix, a full kitchen, and the bathroom is right beside the upstairs bedroom. The view from the bed in the morning was a beautiful huge tree in the field. Down the hill is a very large pond. I can see a float and canoes that would be great in the summer. There is a huge pavilion beside the lake with couches, a long table, chairs, a grill, and a refrigerator. There are two outside RV toilet stalls at the lake too. When I drove in I saw horses in a field and a little donkey running around, playing in a a pen. I stopped and watched. Close to the house they have goats in a pen and they wanted me to pat them. The owner, Maria, told me I could. She also has a pig and chickens. I enjoyed the solitude but this place would be wonderful for a family outing or corporate retreat. I forgot a few things, so Maria directed me to a nearby Walmart in Tappahannock. I highly recommend a stay at Maria's farm.

Wow!!! My friends and I all loved this site, we'll definitely be coming back here, might not go to another site again. Easily accessible from DC, and the environment was absolutely perfect. Lots of room for lots of people, gorgeous surrounding, nice walking around the area, lovely views from the water too.

What a great find in Anne Arundel County. This is a beautiful and well maintained property and only 40 minutes from my front door. Site 1 was spacious and had room for two trucks and tents. Communication was great and Randy provided easy to follow directions. We will be back for sure!

We absolutely love this campsite! This was our third time staying here, and it gets better every year. The site itself is very private, spacious, and well-maintained — perfect for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors without feeling crowded. Derek, the owner, is always incredibly accommodating and goes above and beyond to make sure guests have everything they need. We plan to keep coming back every year — it’s become one of our favorite getaway spots!

The view is beautiful. My pictures are amazing. Very quiet and peaceful. Close to the rivers edge. It did not rain, so I had no issues. However, flooding would be the only concern or negative. This is my favorite or number 1 campsite. This was my 5th camping trip. I would book again.

Really enjoyed our stay with Randy and Carol. The site was clean and private. We arrived later in the evening than we had initially planned due to heavy traffic and construction on the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Randy was super accommodating and helpful and waited for us to arrive to direct us to our site.

13 ft travel trailer
We had a great two-night stay in our 13 foot travel trailer here. We were at site #1 and chose the spot furthest back and it was perfect for us. I’m not an expert with the trailer but was able to position on a flat spot at Randy’s recommendation that gave us a nice view of the cornfields. It was very peaceful, we put the fire pits to use, and had a wonderful stay. It’s pretty local for us and we definitely would stay again.

Lots to like about the waterfront site, starting with the view. My family and another family spent the trip kayaking, lying in a hammock, and sitting by the fire. We only saw a few other people the whole time — all on small fishing boats and jet skis. The host was very communicative. The place wasn’t far from DC.
Main drawback is the relatively high cost, particularly given that water and port-a-john weren’t included in the base price.

We had a great time here! The host was very kind and accommodating. She let us borrow her kayaks for the day to visit Mallow's Bay which was a total lifesaver! We only had our inflatable one and that would not have survived the shipwrecks. Unfortunately the pier has been damaged so we couldn't use it but it was still lovely staying right on the water.

My weekend at Donna’s site was nothing short of perfect—my wife, our dog, my parents, and I all had a fabulous time! From the moment we arrived, Donna shone as a super-host, attentive, warm, and remarkably thoughtful. When the rain made the ground slippery, she proactively brought us hay to ensure safety—something we truly appreciated.
The site itself had all the comforts of home, which is rare in a camping setting. Hot showers, running water, and electricity were conveniently available, making our stay both cozy and hassle-free. Fishing was a real highlight: we caught plenty of fish, making for fun, satisfying afternoons.
A small note: If you're arriving near high tide, just be mindful of where you pitch your tent. But honestly, that was the only minor challenge in what was otherwise a flawless 10/10 experience.
Overall, Donna’s place offers a brilliant blend of outdoor charm and thoughtful amenities. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly getaway with excellent hosting.

I thought the sight was great! The 3/4 mile drive off the main road could use trimming. Put branch marks on my truck. Some may not want that. Was not sure where high tide mark for the river was at the site. Had a complimentary stack of wood waiting. That was nice. A trash can. Nice. The view of the water was awesome. The video of the road in was very helpful. I would recommend highly and return as soon as possible! Thank you!

Not a cramped golf cart sites here. Peaceful pastures with scenic views and a culture deep in history and the arts. Our host was spectacular and very accommodating. He even threw in a free guitar lesson which we needed badly lol.. lots to experiences in the surrounding area. Antiquiting, thrift stores and farm markets are frequently found . Fishing and crabbing was great. This is a hidden go to getaway. Love it.
