Our Farm spans the northerly side of Hussey Mountain from the base to the summit. Guests are provided with private access to several miles of multi-use nature trails, multiple scenic lookouts, a three acre PYO blueberry maze, and a dock on our private eight acre pond with available boat rentals.
At the 2WD shared parking area guests are provided with a outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a portable toilet, garden hose for washing, a power strip for charging devices, and a spigot with potable water for filling containers.
Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain!

Hiking on several miles of maintained nature trails marked with clear signage for easy day/night navigation. Fishing, paddling, swimming, or relaxing on our dock. Bird/wildlife watching, berry picking, stargazing and leaf peeping.

"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property. Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).

For Sites 1-4, the hostel is yours to access. Use the back porch and side entrances (Access code will be given to you during check-in). Inside you’ll find… Full community kitchen, bathrooms/hot showers, dining area, and lounge area.

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ridge Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure.
Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs.
Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive
Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes

Our property is what remains of an old farm in the foothills of the White Mountains in western Maine which dates back to the early 1800s. What was originally a 300-acre farmstead is now just the hub: the classic main house, barn, and shed, and the three acres of woodland and meadows that surround it. Fortunately, our immediate neighbors are large landowners, so the area still has that bucolic, undeveloped, peaceful feel. And, while we did have all manner of farm animals early on when the kids were young, we’re a farm in name only now—although it still very much looks the part.
We’ve been welcoming guests in our home and on our property since 2018, and in 2022 we renovated the old chicken shed across the street next to our Civil War-era barn to make a cozy glamping space we call the ShackHilton. “Shack” because, well, it still is a shack, and “Hilton” because that was the name of the original owner way back in 1820 (plus it’s really nice inside).
We’re three miles west of the village of Bridgton, a classic Maine town with all the amenities you’ll need (groceries, restaurants, laundry, etc). This area is know for it’s lakes and ponds (there are so many we will never be able to kayak all of them) and we’re within an hour of both the White Mountains and the cute coastal city of Portland. There are so many outdoor activities to do here, in all seasons, that no matter when you visit there will always be an adventure right outside the door.

Tucked into 76 acres of working forest in the foothills of western Maine, our two geodesic domes offer an off-grid escape with sweeping views of the White Mountains through a large panoramic window. We live here year-round, run on solar power, and love sharing this place with guests who want to slow down and relax.
Each dome is 24 feet in diameter, about 760 square feet, set on a northwest-facing hill. The Family Dome sleeps 5 and the Oaks Dome is a couples retreat. Both are furnished with bedding, tables, chairs, a wood stove, and a camping toilet for nighttime use. Outside each dome you'll find seating and a private fire pit.
A short walk toward the house, there's a shared fire pit with a pizza oven, one of our favorite spots. Most Friday nights we'll have a fire going, and we're happy to help with the pizza oven if you'd like to give it a try.
Guests also have access to a shared cabin with a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove, oven, dishes, and utensils), dining area, shower, and flush toilet. The cabin is available to guests of both domes.
The location puts you within easy reach of the best of western Maine and the White Mountains. North Conway, NH is about 20 minutes away, with shopping, restaurants, and access to world-class hiking. The Saco River is just down the road, perfect for a tube float or a swim on a warm day. We provide guests with a curated list of our favorite local spots to help you make the most of your stay. Several hiking trails wind through the property and you're welcome to explore.
A few things to know: the domes are tents at heart and can warm up on summer afternoons. We'll show you how to open them up for ventilation. Sandals or slippers are nice to have for inside. The shared road to the property is maintained with our neighbors, so please keep speeds under 15 mph and limit arrivals and departures after 10 pm. Outdoor fires may not be possible during dry or windy conditions.

I moved up here 5 years ago for space + snow + to grow my dog sled team - me n the dogs are happy to share our space!
The 10 acre field is open, partially mowed & offers apples in the fall. The view of the mountain is really nice. Enjoy the fire pit or walk through the 60 acres of woods. Please note, my house is located on the road, in the front corner of the field. It is possible to camp in the field a spot such that you do not have to see my house. You can also camp just behind the field in maple trees (there's a clear path). The other option is to walk into the back back woods and fashion yourself a place to camp if you are feeling a bit more rugged / adventurous - there are paths but they are not newly installed / groomed (originally created for logging activities a long time ago so - rugged). There's a brook at the far side of my property which goes all along the back edge. Nearby Norway Lake is great for swimming, boating, kayaking, etc (public boat launch is an easy drive). This is a great place for road running as well (or road biking if you can handle the hills).
Note that the field is a field-there's no road laid in. I can drive into fine in my Sienna but if you have a really low car you might have to walk it.
Fires in fire pit only for safety reasons
This is rustic camping! There's no electricity or running water. I can provide a 5 gal jug of spring water for drinking / fire dousing (please let me know in advance if you will need this so I can go to the spring). If you are not self contained in terms of bathroom, you are welcome to use my guest bath inside (just have to text me)
You should have full cell signal in the middle of the field and in the high points in the back woods (but definitely it drops out in the lower points). There is a barn that is occasionally available for eating / camping; there is electricity & wifi in there as well as lights and tables. There's an extra charge for this -please inquire about availability.
Spot is dog friendly - let me know if you'd like me to leave some snow fencing out for you to fashion a bit of an enclosed area. I have some agility equipment & all kinds of mushing equipment if your pup might be interested. Happy to do mini demos / lessons for a small extra fee. I have a spare

Over two decades ago we created our first campsite for the purpose of hosting family and friends. Folks enjoyed camping on the mountain so much they often would choose our farm over traditional campgrounds. Hosting campers became a regular weekend event, and to accommodate more people we created three more sites spread out across the property. In 2020, we came across the Hipcamp app and started offering private reservations to the public. Since, we have been hosting campers on a daily basis and continuously improving our sites / infrastructure / views. We’re excited to see what the next two decades hold; come join us on the mountain!

"What should I expect my experience to be like?"
Being a hostel, the experience we offer is a community focused one. Sites are setup similar to rooms in the hostel. They are located in fairly close proximity to one another and feature (in addition to private fire pits in the sites) one large community fire ring at the center of the property.
Parking and camping are located at the rear of the Hostel property. Out back features several campsites, a community fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Parking is first come, first serve, but there is plenty of street parking available along Washington St (Summertime street parking. In winter, town hall may be used as overflow parking.).

There is a beautiful hike to a mountain lookout view of an amazing panoramic of lakes and mountains including Mt Washington and Pleasant Ski mountain. From 5 Kezars rd turn right onto Kezars Ridge Drive, the last camp road before the pavement ends.) At 0.6 miles keep right onto 5 Kezar Ridge Road. Look for a GLLT sign on the right. This is the Mountain Trail. There is a second access 0.5 miles farther west on 5 Kezar Ponds Road for Ron’s Loop. 2 Local waterfalls only 2 miles away. Drive back out to 5 Kezars road. Take a right on the paved road. It will turn back into dirt. Keep on this road until you see a beautiful stone house on your left. Keep going just up the hill and you will see a right turn into the woods where you can park. There are no signs for Kezar gorge. Hike towards the sound of the falls. There is a small cave under the falls you can climb up into if you are a strong swimmer. There is a second set of falls if you hike down the river. A most magical spot for sure.
Virginia lake is in the White Mountain National forest and is only 6 miles (n a ten minute drive away) Sometimes you have to hike in a bit to get to the beach. Shallow beach is great for children and dogs.
Keewayden Lake Dam is a fun place to swim in a local lake. Only and 8 minute drive
Keoka lake has a nice beach with a dock to swim too. !0 minutes

Our property is what remains of an old farm in the foothills of the White Mountains in western Maine which dates back to the early 1800s. What was originally a 300-acre farmstead is now just the hub: the classic main house, barn, and shed, and the three acres of woodland and meadows that surround it. Fortunately, our immediate neighbors are large landowners, so the area still has that bucolic, undeveloped, peaceful feel. And, while we did have all manner of farm animals early on when the kids were young, we’re a farm in name only now—although it still very much looks the part.
We’ve been welcoming guests in our home and on our property since 2018, and in 2022 we renovated the old chicken shed across the street next to our Civil War-era barn to make a cozy glamping space we call the ShackHilton. “Shack” because, well, it still is a shack, and “Hilton” because that was the name of the original owner way back in 1820 (plus it’s really nice inside).
We’re three miles west of the village of Bridgton, a classic Maine town with all the amenities you’ll need (groceries, restaurants, laundry, etc). This area is know for it’s lakes and ponds (there are so many we will never be able to kayak all of them) and we’re within an hour of both the White Mountains and the cute coastal city of Portland. There are so many outdoor activities to do here, in all seasons, that no matter when you visit there will always be an adventure right outside the door.

Each dome is 24 feet in diameter, about 760 square feet, set on a northwest-facing hill. The Family Dome sleeps 5 and the Oaks Dome is a couples retreat. A short walk toward the house, there's a shared fire pit with a pizza oven, one of our favorite spots. Most Friday nights we'll have a fire going, and we're happy to help with the pizza oven if you'd like to give it a try.
Guests also have access to a shared cabin with a full kitchen (refrigerator, stove, oven, dishes, and utensils), dining area, shower, and flush toilet. The cabin is available to guests of both domes.
The location puts you within easy reach of the best of western Maine and the White Mountains. North Conway, NH is about 20 minutes away, with shopping, restaurants, and access to world-class hiking. The Saco River is just down the road, perfect for a tube float or a swim on a warm day. We provide guests with a curated list of our favorite local spots to help you make the most of your stay. Several hiking trails wind through the property and you're welcome to explore.
A few things to know: the domes are tents at heart and can warm up on summer afternoons. We'll show you how to open them up for ventilation. Sandals or slippers are nice to have for inside. The shared road to the property is maintained with our neighbors, so please keep speeds under 15 mph and limit arrivals and departures after 10 pm. Outdoor fires may not be possible during dry or windy conditions.

I moved up here 5 years ago for space + snow + to grow my dog sled team - me n the dogs are happy to share our space!
The 10 acre field is open, partially mowed & offers apples in the fall. The view of the mountain is really nice. Enjoy the fire pit or walk through the 60 acres of woods. Please note, my house is located on the road, in the front corner of the field. It is possible to camp in the field a spot such that you do not have to see my house. You can also camp just behind the field in maple trees (there's a clear path). The other option is to walk into the back back woods and fashion yourself a place to camp if you are feeling a bit more rugged / adventurous - there are paths but they are not newly installed / groomed (originally created for logging activities a long time ago so - rugged). There's a brook at the far side of my property which goes all along the back edge. Nearby Norway Lake is great for swimming, boating, kayaking, etc (public boat launch is an easy drive). This is a great place for road running as well (or road biking if you can handle the hills).
Note that the field is a field-there's no road laid in. I can drive into fine in my Sienna but if you have a really low car you might have to walk it.
Fires in fire pit only for safety reasons
This is rustic camping! There's no electricity or running water. I can provide a 5 gal jug of spring water for drinking / fire dousing (please let me know in advance if you will need this so I can go to the spring). If you are not self contained in terms of bathroom, you are welcome to use my guest bath inside (just have to text me)
You should have full cell signal in the middle of the field and in the high points in the back woods (but definitely it drops out in the lower points). There is a barn that is occasionally available for eating / camping; there is electricity & wifi in there as well as lights and tables. There's an extra charge for this -please inquire about availability.
Spot is dog friendly - let me know if you'd like me to leave some snow fencing out for you to fashion a bit of an enclosed area. I have some agility equipment & all kinds of mushing equipment if your pup might be interested. Happy to do mini demos / lessons for a small extra fee. I have a spare

What a great site! I returned to this hipcamp because of the privacy, ease of booking and communication, and of course the site itself. Even with a frosty layer of snow we had no trouble getting to the site. The fairytale lights in the tree made the site feel more enchanting. This time I even preordered some fresh eggs, which the owner’s thoughtfully brought out and had ready for me soon my arrival. I truly look forward to returning once the weather warms up. One of our dogs is reactive and this is a perfect Hipcamp for him where we can all relax together. Will definitely be back.

Eben was a fantastic host! Very informative and personable. We closed out the season, so we didn’t get to experience all of the amenities available during warmer times, but the offerings are very well built out and thoughtful (water, showers, bathroom availability, hiking and fruit picking). The campsite itself was gorgeous and very well arranged/maintained. We especially appreciated the type of grill available on the fire pit and fire poker. Can’t wait to stay here again!

I really enjoyed this Hipcamp site. The hosts were quick to respond and even set up the fire pit with wood. It was private, clean, and even lit with lights in the tree above the picnic table. One of the things that I loved about this site is the ability to buy fresh eggs or firewood if needed. I will definitely remember that in the future when I return.

Weekend Trip to Tuttles Homestead
Mark greeted us immediately when we arrived and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The cabin is clean and cozy. The composting outhouse was one of the nicest I've ever seen! Relaxing by the firepit on a chilly morning was wonderful. Could not have asked for a better stay.

This spot was amazing and exactly as advertised. It was so quiet and peaceful, but we weren't so out in the woods that we felt uncomfortable or too isolated. The layout is simple so setting up our camper was easy, and the area is cozy.

I arrived at this site with high expectations, and it certainly delivered. You have your own designated pitch right next to the electrical hookup and picnic table. It comes with wifi, which is awesome. You have this whole hillside to yourself. My dog and I absolutely loved hanging around the fire and looking out over Thompson Lake below. I will definitely be back to this Hipcamp site.

My Wife, Fur Baby, and I stayed at Eben’s land for a weekend and had an Amazing Time!!! Let me start of by saying the host Eben was wonderful!!! He met us upon arrival and was so kind and friendly and welcoming. He goes out of his way to show you how things at the site work and truly makes sure you understand how to operate everything. He had given us a map of the property and showed us everything his land had to offer and asked us what exactly what we were looking to do. Upon us answering what it was we were looking to do his made suggestions to accommodate our needs. He made suggestions around the area that were dog friendly so we would be able to accommodate our fur baby as well. Which was very thoughtful! After we were all set with everything he left us to ourselves and what a beautiful peaceful place it is. We chose the following morning to take a hike around the property and were pleasantly pleased with all the Beautiful Views his property had to offer. There’s nothing better than lying on a hammock and looking at Mountain View’s of the Fall Foliage. It truly looked like views you would see in a book or a movie. They were truly breathtaking. It was so nice to see our fur baby run free in the wilderness and soak up all the new scents. He was in heaven. This place is relaxing, peaceful, and just what we needed to disconnect from the daily hustle and bustle of Life. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others and we will most certainly be back without a doubt.

this was our second year camping at this mountain, and we absolutely loved it!! the views from our site was incredible, and eben does a great job taking care of the campsites and seeing if we need anything:) we stayed at pretty much the top of the mountain, and there are definitely some steep spots, just to be cautious of if you have kids! but i 100% recommend!! we stayed at site 3🍁🍂

Just returned a from an awesome weekend on Eben’s land with my bro and his wife! Site was well-equipped with a firepit, picnic table and hand-made stools. Tent areas were level and soft thanks to carefully-laid mulch.
We spent part of Saturday exploring the mountain trails and discovering sweet surprises along the paths (I’ll never tell, you must see for yourself). We enjoyed our chats w Eben - a fantastic host who takes great care of his land. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

It was a great experience all around. The staff were super friendly and helpful and all the other guests were friendly as well. I loved the camping spot and the hustle was very cozy especially on the cold night that we stayed.
