Family owned property obtained through the barter system. You shingle my barn and I'll give you that property. My Pappy's land. 11 acres. Recently cleared for its timber. With some landscaping it became clear that beautiful campsites were forming. My father is 78 years old. The last thing he ever thought he would be doing with his retirement is jumping back on his excavator. Can't keep a good man down. Now here we are. Father and daughter. One day my children. 3 large tent sites and two camper sites. Future cabin and seasonal RV sites. A brook runs through the property but dries up after June. There is a small pond with rock stairs. Deer and turkey are frequently seen. Peace and serenity. This property does not offer complete seclusion. You will see other campers if all 3 sites are occupied. There is spacious distance. What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. I look forward to hosting new and repeat campers. There is a free weekend offer for those who would like to camp and work to prepare for Memorial Day weekend. WELCOME ALL!!

This is a semi-secluded, quiet property, off the main road by a mile and tucked in the woods at the end of a dead-end road. This property gives visitors access to 100 plus acres of woods, which includes a brook, swale, and some fields, including a wild strawberry blueberry field. This glamping site sits approximately 200 yards from the maine house and is out of view and separated by a wooded tree line. Although this property affords privacy and quiet it is close enough to the coast and popular destinations that visitors can still have a gourmet meal, enjoy boating, swimming, and fishing, on the ocean or nearby pond and lake, and hike throughout local preserves. There is a day bed that transforms into a queen size bed with a memory foam mattress and two single camp cots. These are 2 separate properties that are located about a mile apart from each other. The first one is Grizzly Cabin, that is a 500 square foot cabin with a gas fireplace located on almost 2 wooded acres. The second one is called Moose Cabin and it is a newer log cabin situated on 1/3 of a partially-wooded acre. Each cabin has hot/cold running water, bathroom, shower, microwave, washer, dryer, toaster, oven, fridge, and cabin decor.

Carter's Cross Country Ski Center and Shop has been a family-owned business since 1984. The land on which the trails have been built on has been in the Carter family since the late 1700's. The first Carter who came to Bethel was the first doctor in the area that helped Mollyocket, a Native American medicine woman. All the different generations that came along after were either farmers or loggers or both. Carter's XC Ski Center is located on the banks of the Big Androscoggin River. Our private established skiing/walking trails meander through the Maine woods all the way up to Farwell Mountain, overlooking Sunday River Ski, the Presidential and Mahoosuc Mountain Ranges and Mt. Washington. Nearby is Middle Intervale Farm, owned by John Carter, who produces his own vegetables and meat. He has a small, self-serve farm stand right on Intervale Road, next to Carter's. Guests can enjoy the property's views and amenities, such as hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing, snowshoeing, biking, bird watching, and relaxing. Weekend Trip to Stone Retreat

I spent the weekend at Coreysha’s cabin and had a great experience. The cabin felt private, quiet, and surrounded by nature — exactly what I was looking for to unwind. Everything was set up thoughtfully with the basics like lamps, a battery pack and a small cooking area. I really enjoyed the peace and the clear night sky. Even though it’s tucked away, it still felt comfortable and safe. Would definitely love to come back.

2 nights at Stillness Wilderness Properties

This cabin feels rustic yet has many of the comforts of home. It was very clean and the pictures accurately represent the space. My wife and I stayed for two nights and really appreciated the washer and dryer after tent camping for several days. The keurig coffee maker and nice selection of coffees was really nice, too. The spiral staircase is pretty tight leading up to the bed in the loft, but the bed is comfortable and the fan made for nice sleeping. Lots of great hiking close by, too. We'd definitely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Stone Retreat

Really beautiful cabin that felt very private. It was set up so well with lamps, battery banks, water for cleaning dishes, a foot pump shower etc. Coreysha had also picked some flowers for us and left them on the picnic table. Couldn't recommend this spot enough. My fiance and dog loved it as much as I did. Wouldn't hesitate to book again

Camp Fern was the perfect getaway. Anne fired up the woodstove & I arrived to a warm & cozy cottage. My favorite spot was watching the sun set from the upstairs. I enjoyed the quiet and beauty of nature. Fantastic communication from Anne. I look forward to returning some day.

Weekend Trip to Carter's XC Ski Center

Everything about Stonewall Cabin was just what we hoped and expected. The interior was impressively clean when we arrived. The setting (in the woods, right on the trail network) was pretty and convenient for XC skiing. Highway noise (from quite a few miles away) is audible from outside the cabin, but otherwise, the setting feels very secluded and natural. There was plenty of firewood and water in the provided jugs, and the gas lamps provided good light for reading and cooking (we brought our headlamps, but only used them for nighttime trips to the outhouse). Great stock of board games, too!
