What this location offers is that it is centrally located to mountains, oceans, lakes,concert venues, restaurants, nightlife, shopping and antiquing. Traveling to NH and Massachusetts is a day trip. A few hours and your in central Maine. Cross the border into Canada. So much to explore or just relax. Stay a few nights or stay the season. 2023 is off to a great camping season. Already meeting new campers. Hopefully I'll see some familiar faces from 2022. A few upgrades. There is an outside water faucet, an outlet and an outside shower...hot and a privacy fence. There is a bathroom/shed that contains a toilet. Goats are coming. Yes goats. Not until fall though. The frog pond population continues to grow. A neighboring town is finding 3 legged frogs in their ponds. Apparently caused by a parasite. Let me know if you find any. 2024 was another great season. New faces that I hope to see again. The summer weather was great for camping. A large Bell Tent and a small portable camper was purchased for those who are seeking more of a glamping experience. WELCOME BACK for 2026... 2025 had some complications unfortunately. Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to invite anyone to my property. Consider yourself invited for the 2026 season. We loved the hot tub so much that Cliff prepared for us during our 2 nights stay. I would recommended to bring extra bedding if you plan to stay there in November, it get pretty cold in yurt.

This is a great site! It was exactly what we needed for a quick weekend hiking trip. Site is clean and level, fit out 20’ camper van easily, and was quiet despite being close to the road. We’ll be back as there are plenty of great hikes close by!

Weekend Trip to Does not suck😋 camp!!

Excellent host, he was very helpful. We used the pontoon all day with my 13-year-old son and his buddies. We were actually pretty successful at fishing with live bait. We got some decent sized bass and a couple of bluegill sunfish, which we ate that night in tacos. The area for the tents is comfortable and the host let us use his bathroom. He also has a big grill and perfect setup for a fire. He was very responsive and had great advice on local activities and fishing. We’ll happily go back.

The lake was warm still, clean, the views were beautiful. We were the last campers of the season so we had lots of privacy. The cabin had a fridge for us, a few basics re: utensils, plates , cups, washbin, an extra blanket, and a pull out couch. A fan, space heater, and toaster/coffeemaker. The space heater worked well at night. The bathroom was close and it had a full kitchen sink to wash, stall shower, toilet stall. There are motion sensor lights at night for the scaredy cats. Dumpster on site.

We enjoyed our weekend in the cabin! Clean, comfortable, and quiet. My sister stayed in one of the platform tent sites. We spent most of the weekend at their site and would walk (or canoe!) back to ours. Sarah was a great host and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back next year.

We had a great stay here! It’s a simple, flat plot that was perfect for parking our 24 ft camper. The property is beautiful and very peaceful, no neighbors in sight, so it felt nice and secluded. There were a few cars driving by now and then, but overall it was quiet and relaxing. There’s some trails leading down to a pond, we put our canoe in and had a blast. We went for a walk and had one of the neighbors offer to let us walk down to meet their cows, which was such a sweet bonus. Definitely a lovely spot if you’re looking for a getaway. Mark was really nice, we would visit again if we’re in the area!

We had an incredible time at Kiwanis beach! Our private site was the perfect spot for our mini baby moon! Sarah was so kind and accommodating and helped us out when I forgot some important and necessary items. We were already planning our next visit before the weekend ended! Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some private, dog friendly lake access camping! Looking forward to our next visit as a family of 3 (+ four legs!)

3 nights at Duncan Lake Island

The island was a beautiful spot. I went with my girlfriend and my seven year-old daughter and what a trip that was. I purchased a 4 hp Evinrude engine to hook up to our canoe to get us and all of our stuff out there we had three dogs and three humans so it was quite a few trips and I Accounted for that ahead of time. To paddle would probably take 5 to 10 minutes, but is an easy ride. Plenty of flat spots to set up a tent. The only thing on the island is a dock and a propane griddle which came in handy so we didn’t have to bring all of our cooking stuff. There is a fire pit already established, but you’ll want to bring Firewood. The island has medium vegetation, cover enough to get a little bit of privacy, but may want to consider bringing a tarp or situating your temp in a certain way as to have privacy to change, etc.. parking is at the public beach. It can be a bit of a bummer coming back bringing your stuff from the beach up the hill, but wasn’t terrible. Recommend bringing a wagon dolly or wheelbarrow to get your stuff down to the water would probably make it easier but definitely wasn’t too bad. There’s a grocery store, Ocean State job law and hardware store not even five minutes down the road if you feel like there’s anything you forgotten all in all would definitely go back. The island was very clean with great wildlife. I never thought we would get used to hearing loons.

This is a great spot! Pleasantry secluded, amazing star viewing. The walk to the lake is lovely and despite being August, the bugs were nearly non existent. Will certainly stay again. Just be aware that as of 2025 verizon service is nil. A short walk up the road is all you need should you need to engage with civilization.

We had a great time at the camp, the view was amazing as it was just steps from the lake. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises along with the sounds of the Loons helped make this a great spot. There is hardly any light pollution at night which make the stars so brilliant, we were amazed at how many shooting stars we saw during our stay. Sarah greeted us shortly after we arrived to check in to see if we needed anything, she was super friendly. We met some other people who worked there and they were very friendly too. I highly recommend this place to camp especially if you have a dog because it's dog friendly! We will definitely be returning.

This is our second year camping on Sarah’s land. Last year we stayed in lake view and this last time we stayed on Island view, which is larger and more set back but we loved both. Honestly, we plan this little end of the year stay as a time to unwind at the end of the Summer and that is exactly what we did! I curled up on an Adirondack chair and read a good book. My husband took out the canoe and did some fishing and my niece swam right from our site. This is the easiest, most worry free camping trip ever and Sarah is so thoughtful. We hope we can stay again next year!
