I know my property won't disappoint if you decide to stay in the fully equipped cabin. The ponds are fully stocked with bass, bream and catfish, so fun to catch and you can even keep your catch and cook them over your own campfire. Pros: - Joe and Joe Sr. were so friendly and welcoming. They were the best part of this site. - They made every effort to accomodate our needs. - Beautiful land, very quiet. - Joe Sr. took us on a tour of the property, including his ATV area. - Lots of hang out spaces under covered areas, so could accomodate very large groups. Cons: - The Electrical box malfunctioned and we were not able to hook up our 50 amp. We tried the 20 amp but that ended up failing too. We ended up having to run our generator, but the hosts covered our gas. They felt so badly about this and were trying to fix the unexpected problem. - The bathrooms were very rustic. The women’s door was locked, and the men’s bathroom had flushing troubles. The inside bathroom was fine, but with 8 in our party, it was inconvenient to only have one bathroom/shower. There were no sewage hookups. - Spaces need updating - Price was high for partial hookup and out-dated, poorly functioning spaces

1 night at Mid Lake Campground on Toledo Bend

I love the peacefulness of this place. We had somewhat of a waterfront view on site C1 of the lake which is part of the Toledo Bend Reservoir. We could’ve had a waterfront view if we chose row E. There are 3 sites there. We had a nice gravel site with FHU. Campground is surrounded by tall trees. The only downfall is the phone service connection. There is WiFi, general store, big dog park, swimming pier, boat dock, and birds constantly singing. It’s a beautiful place for me.
