THISTLEDOWN GATHERING PLACE: This is a very large meadow, surrounded by trees with the capacity for large groups, many tents and gatherings of lots of people. Very level, easy in and out with vehicles. Fires permitted in season. WHITETAIL SANCTUARY: Every night for decades a herd of whitetail deer graze in this pastoral setting. Drive in and out, fires in season. Suitable for a family sized tent. THE PENNINSULA: This camping spot is WALK IN ONLY. You can drive to the trailhead on grass and walk the path to the campsite (about 200 yards). One of two remote sites. It sits in the woods, on the bank of a wet weather creek which flows around two sides of the campsite. Fires permitted in season. TOTEM TREES: This site is WALK IN ONLY. A short hike down the hill from the grass parking area and you have a small spot for a tent, in the woods, surrounded by trees and a lot of standing dead ash which appear as if you are in the presence of totem poles. NO OPEN FIRES. MUST USE BACKPACKER STOVE AND FLAMELESS LIGHTING. SPOTTED FAWN HIDEAWAY: This totally secluded walk in campsite is suitable for a small tent only AND PERFECT FOR HAMMOCK CAMPING. 1 night at Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

This was my first glamping experience and I simply loved it! The yurts looked more magical on site and we had a cozy bonfire and toasted marshmallows by the fire. Me and my friends are glad we chickened out of camping and did glamping instead because it provided us more comfort and coziness than camping. We woke up to horses running around near the area and had another fire. Totally worth the trip!

What a great place! Doesn’t show its glory until you go around the barn to park/hook up, then wow! Rolling hills. Horses. Pounds with ducks. Beautiful. Best sunrise in a long time. AND: Driving up -go slow and take the third gate just like she says. Do NOT go too far -it is a long, winding, hilly, narrow road to get back (took an hour in the dark, dark, dark night). So glad we found this place!

I loved tent camping here at the beautiful Majestic Views! Instructions were very clear and the host, Jamie, was very helpful. I didn't plan a great time to go weather-wise, and it was raining pretty much from the time I arrived to when I left the next day. Still, I was determined to see my camping trip through after the drive down there and I ended up having a great time. Jamie let me stay at a spot where they was a small shelter which some hay bales were being kept under, so I was able to pitch my tent under there and avoid getting soaked. Ended up having a very cozy little set up there right next to the pasture where the horses were out. Despite being in view of the farmhouse, the spot was still very private and secluded. What a gorgeous place- the rolling hills, autumn trees, and even the grey, rainy sky were stunning. Was able to enjoy a very peaceful night. In the morning, I got to hang out a bit with one of the dogs who came down to my camping spot and ended up staying for a while- much to my joy! Very close to the Natural Bridge park so I went hiking the next day after checkout. Thank you Jamie, I hope to be back again sometime when it isn't quite as rainy!
