What a great spot. Very private and a perfect place to camp. The site is sat between 2 creeks and our young boys (2 and 4) absolutely loved exploring every bit of it. The hosts were very nice and provided firewood! Will definitely be coming back.

Misty Bottoms is hands down one of the best campsites where we’ve ever stayed The site is incredibly well-maintained and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable, relaxing stay.
The grassy area was perfect for our tent (and great for RVs too), and we really appreciated the electric hookup and potable water access. The bathroom was impressively clean, with a hot shower and even toiletries provided — a rare find at most campsites!
We loved gathering around the fire pit in the evenings (firewood included!) and spending time in the shelter, which had everything from hammocks, tables, and even a refrigerator. It was a great spot to hang out, rain or shine.
The views of the sky were stunning — clear and wide open, perfect for stargazing, and the sunrise and sunset over the Green River were absolutely magical. The whole environment was peaceful and quiet — ideal for a relaxing getaway.
Hosts Travis and Tena were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating. They clearly care about making this a special place for visitors, and it shows.
We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend Misty Bottoms to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped nature retreat!

We arrived at sunset, it was a beautiful drive and the site was really nice.
The driveway was a little rough as explained in the summary, but we drove slow and were able to navigate it pretty easily in our kia soul. There was a nice firepit and large logs to burn; and the stars out there were amazing!
It's a little far out, but there is a dollar general close by and a walmart only abt 15min away near an interstate.
Would stay here again!

1 night at Mollys Ridge Glamping and Camping
The stay was really nice! We enjoyed the fire in the evening and went in to the tent as the night went on. After it got cold enough, we used the gas heater and it was more than enough to keep us warm.
The potable water is limited, so if you need lots (cooking, cleaning) be sure to bring it in.
It was extremely private and lovely, but it looks like there may be a new cabin being built at the top of a very nearby hill which would make the place much less private. We prefer solo private spots, so we might need to check on this for future stays.

The good! It was a wonderful camp spot! Completely private (unless someone drives by on the driveway, but we only had one person do that), and so shaded it felt like it dropped 20 degrees! Perfectly lovely camping spot!
The bad.
The driveway - Once you leave the road, you will turn left onto a steep, long, gravel driveway. If you are pulling a travel trailer (even a small one like we were), you won't have a good way to turn around once on this driveway so DO NOT attempt this hill with an RV unless you have a proper braking system installed for your RV. Also, do not attempt this hill with a two-wheel drive if you are pulling an RV, even a small RV. We got stuck going back up the driveway when leaving because we only had a two-wheel drive (it even has a V8 bus-size engine), and had to have our small travel trailer pulled out.
The bridge - At the bottom of the driveway is a concrete bridge. The entrance and exit to the bridge has a decently steep embankment. I thought we would be fine because our small RV has off-road tires, allowing the RV to sit up high off the ground, but upon leaving, we scrapped the bottom, slightly damaging the bottom of our RV. In order to continue forward, we had to place large rocks from the creek under the RV tires a few times to get it to the level of the bridge without damaging it further.
I would go and stay there again, but this time, I would just bring my car with a tent. It's a lovely tent camping spot!

This place checked all the boxed for us. I brought my 7 yo here and he was able to play in the creek and catch crawdads while I set up camp. Then, I helped him catch some crawdads, and we eventually took a dip in the bigger creek, which was refreshing on a very hot day. The site was also shady and private--you can see a house up on a hill if you walk onto the bridge, but it isn't close enough to see people clearly. The host was very responsive. Remember to turn your phone off of roaming (or heck, just turn it off), as it will drain the battery when you are in camp. I got service once I was back up on the road. I would come back here again, for sure.

Misty Bottoms was great! The hosts are friendly and hospitable but don't invade your space/privacy. There's a great covered spot to hang, play games, cook etc if the weather takes a turn or you just need shade. The bathroom was clean and the shower is a great added amenitiy. We would definitely stay there again!

I really like the set-up of this place! The camp site is nice and level with direct access to the river. It was quiet and peaceful during my stay.
Tena had great communication prior to my visit, and showed us where everything was located upon arrival.
I hope to visit again later in summer and paddle on one of my favorite rivers in all of Kentucky.

Our family had a truly memorable week at Misty Bottoms. We brought our camper and stayed on-site, and it turned out to be the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun-filled getaway. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful—wide open fields, a peaceful river nearby, and the most stunning sunrises each morning. Waking up to that view every day felt like a dream.
Our kids had a blast exploring the area and playing outdoors. There’s a large pole barn on the property with a clean bathroom that includes a shower, which made our stay even more comfortable and convenient. The barn provided much-needed shade during the hotter parts of the day, and we were pleasantly surprised that it had toys and space for the kids to play while we relaxed.
The hosts, Travis and Tina, were incredibly kind, thoughtful, and welcoming. They made us feel at home right away and were always available if we needed anything, yet gave us the space to enjoy our trip. Their warm hospitality really added to the experience.
I especially enjoyed taking quiet walks along the river in the mornings—it was peaceful, grounding, and a perfect way to start the day. The whole property was very well-kept, peaceful, and full of natural beauty.
We absolutely loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Misty Bottoms is a hidden gem—perfect for families, nature lovers, or anyone looking for a quiet and refreshing escape.

True definition of secluded in nature. Was able to get in the creek and follow for miles all directions. Crystal clear waters flowing from up top and all the history it carries with it! Nothing but the sounds of deer calls for bed down, owls, the wind and the trees speaking to you, and stars at night. It was definitely a heavy feeling to have to leave, but I can’t wait to get back again this season and do some more exploring.
I will say this is a primitive campers advantage for sure. The wind up in the mountain can cut and rain can come in at any moment. Temps about 10 degrees or so colder than actual. I prefer cold weather camping myself but if you’re not confident in your primitive skills, I’d stay to the warmer months. All in all, can’t wait to get back to this 125 acre beauty. Thank you for sharing what you have with us!
