Come and spend some time at a direct-to-consumer dairy farm. Our cows are called Dutch Belted. They are often referred to as Oreo cows. Stay on the farm where the milk is produced, processed, and sold. The farm store is a short distance away and sells a large variety of farm foods. The farm consists of about 200 acres of pasture and creek bottom. The owner, Loyd, has lived on the farm all his life. We are right beside what used to be a Navy base... yeah in Kansas.:) The runway still gets used for gliders. So you might see a glider being pulled up while you are here.

Learn more about this land:Come stay for a night at Turner's Quarter in our quiet country neighborhood. Enjoy access to a large fire pit, free firewood, and a large area for your camping activities. Take in a view of the bright night sky you just cant get in the city. Only 1 minute off the highway and only a quick walk to the main house in case of an urgent need. Perfect spot to stay a night if you're traveling across the state and don't want to stay at a busy campground. There are other houses nearby, but only home you can really see is ours from the site. We are careful to ensure our camper's privacy during their stay! ***We are not allowed to offer tent camping at this time due to Hip Camp's requirement of a toilet. We are working to find a solution that meets Hip Camp's policies.***

So, being so close to the city and having this space that is secluded and peaceful, it seemed only fair to share it with someone who is interested in the same thing. You are welcome to walk the farm and see the animals, please do not feed the animals or enter their stalls or pens without permission and the presence of our staff. Staff does live on the farm, we do lock gates at night, you can have access to come and go at any time. If you need gates unlocked, we are just a phone call away. Cheryl gave us the option to switch to site 2 because our hook-ups are on the Driver's side. We had trouble getting level in site 1 due to the recent rains that made the ground very soft, so in the end we stayed in Site 2. Site 1 has a beautiful pasture view and nearby playground, and Site 2 has a fun view of the beautiful horses. You can't go wrong with either site. There are also dogs, roosters, turkeys, and goats nearby. The cacophony of farm sounds didn't bother us, but warrant mentioning in case potential guests reading this review are sensitive to noise. There is also an Air Force base nearby, but I barely noticed it. The resident dogs are free-roaming, but they are friendly. My dog isn't generally a fan of other dogs, and the resident doggies were not a problem for us. Site 2 has full hook-ups, and we didn't need any leveling blocks at all. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated the flexibility to switch sites at the last minute. Even with the significant rain, the ground drained well around the site and the driveways. We had no trouble walking our dog or pulling the trailer in and out. We love the Hipcamp experience a thousand times more than RV parks. We are so grateful that owners like Cheryl host RVers.

It was great and relaxing staying at the Borntrager Dairy. Great site Great Sunrise every morning. Cows before milking alot quieter than I remember on the farm. Guineas around keeping bugs down. If your looking for a peaceful private stay this is it. We will definitely be back

We absolutely loved this spot! Full hookups, tons of privacy, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and great access for our big rig (45' toy hauler). We enjoyed watching the cows come in and out of the field for milking each day, as well as the funny guinea hens pecking about. The farm store is AMAZING - delicious milk, butter, yogurt, ice cream, eggs, breads, canned goods...I could go on. DEFINITELY make sure you stop into the store! We spent a week here at the farm and each night we walked down Halstead Rd for a bit to stretch our legs and most evenings we saw an Amish horse and buggy go by which was a fun treat. We enjoyed exploring Yoder and Hutchinson - what a great area overall. We've stayed at several HipCamps in the last year and this one was our favorite so far. We will be back!!!

Water, electric, and sewer all easily available. Quiet except for the many birds! We were the only campers and enjoyed the private, rural setting. We got there just in time to buy milk (raw) in the dairy store. There were cheeses, yogurt and other delicious items available as well.

We enjoyed the clean and spacious campsite . It was a pleasure waking up and hearing the Grasshopper Sparrows , Dickcissels and Meadow Larks singing. We even got to hear the coyotes yipping in the night . Nice place and nice friendly people . We recommend this place for anyone who wants to relax and rejuvenate in Gods great outdoors. It was nice to see the cows meandering through the grass toward the barn with a beautiful sunrise in the background . Easy to find and a safe place to stay

We were on the rv site. Very easy to locate the property and the rv site. Everything was neat and tidy. Great little farm store and town. We loved watching the cows walk by to and from the barn. Site is very level and ample room for manuerving Our host came out and met us and made sure we were all set
