Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like. We have a porta potty in a privacy tent for those tent campers and can be moved closer to sites if needed. We added 2 electric spots 50/30 amp hookups both are full sun great star gazing at night. Neither area has table or firepit as of yet. Animals are welcome but we ask they stay on a leash. We have spotted several turtles on the property, and we have free roaming guinea fowl to help keep down on the pesky bugs. We do have mosquitos, tics etc. on the property so please come prepared. We have a 13,000 sq ft building with Military Surplus, flags, FREE morning coffee and a small vending machine with drinks, snacks and ice cream in freezer 7 days a week 9am to 5pm. We do have locked gates after hours, so please let us know if you need a gate code. We make it easy to get in and out of the property with three entrances/exits and large enough for big rigs to pull in. We are on US HWY 60, aprox. 1.5 miles West of Indigo Sky Casino and a short 3 miles from River Bend Casino and Twin Bridges State Park. We are close to Grand Lake which is a premier fishing location and host top professional fishing tournaments here. Grand Lake is great for Large Mouth Bass, bluegill, smallmouth bass, white crappie and channel catfish. If you're looking for something different, they are known for having spoonbill as well. For the kids there is a Safari Park not too far from us with lots of animals to checkout.

This was a GREAT place to stay! Everything was super clean, the host was super friendly and helpful when I asked for recommendations. There were two towns very close by for anything we needed and Tony was very friendly and able to accommodate a last minute added night! Also, my discount code didn’t work when I was checking in and I messaged the owners and they replied and sent me the discount immediately! I appreciate the quick responses and assistance!

Booked this about a month out for my trip thru Texas. The RV park is pretty new according to Anthony the owner who greeted me after my arrival. It's very well laid out with 10 newly built tiny homes and many pull thru fully equipped RV spaces. The park also contains full bathrooms, laundry facilities, dog park, pickle ball court, code enabled entry gate and a disc golf course. Would highly recommend this as a place to stay especially if you like full rv hookups resort like atmosphere spotless clean amenities. The price to stay was a bargain considering all the amenities provided.

When I arrived I was upgraded to a site that had a small privacy wall a couple chairs and some neatly decorated route 66 paraphernalia on the privacy wall. The RV park has full electric, water and sewer hookups on each site. There is a bathhouse that contains men's and women's bathrooms with showers and a washer dryer area for campers use. I must say the bath house was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The park itself has a New Mexico midwest vibe to it even though it's in Southwest Missouri. Would definitely go there again.

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was exactly what we needed after being stationary for a few months. The spot was quiet, peaceful, and close to town, with beautiful sunsets every evening. There was plenty of space for our dogs to run and play, and we loved that we had the place to ourselves during our stay. Full hookups at this price are hard to beat. It was the perfect reset stop for us. Would definitely stay again!

We chose to camp right by the water down away from everyone else, and it was BEAUTIFUL! I loved the property, we were able to fish in the creek and the lake, it was perfect! Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the peace! I recommend staying here!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain

We were able to roll up just a bit before sunset and it was perfect! This was our first clothing optional Hipcamp and talk about freeing! Not only was that a fun discovery, the property was outstanding. Clean and nice touches everywhere from A-frame wash/shower room, the hot tub, pool, fire pit, BBQ, wash tub for dishes, etc. James and Amy greeted us to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool was made ready for us the next morning for the tiny window of sun we got (thanks James!) you can really see the pride and care for the land and the experience they provide to campers. We didn’t get to meet any other campers this time however this stop will remain at or near the top of our camping experience list for quite some time - highly recommend. We will be back!

I had been traveling in Arkansas about 6 hours from home so looked into getting a spot closer to home for the last night and found this spot! It was perfect for that. Felt private and had a fire ring, electricity and port-a-potty. The carport was so nice for shade from sun but the table and chairs were nice to have for cooking and to set my water jug on as well as other things. I made some chili for dinner and went and sat in my lawn chair to watch the sunset. Then moved over to the fire pit (the stargazing was awesome!) before retiring to my car- I was happy to have such a level spot🙌🏼I met the neighbor and his dog on my way out who was so nice and my dog and his dog ended up playing for a bit. It was private the entire time and he was just on his morning walk I think so no worries about being bothered as I didn’t see them any other time. Some traffic passing by on gravel road but nothing too bothersome. I really enjoyed my night here and will love to stay again!

Weekend Trip to Sunset Mountain

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Sunset Mountain and, while we have never even considered a nudist lifestyle, we figured so many positive reviews couldn’t be wrong. We are so glad we gave it a shot! Whether or not you practice a nudist lifestyle yourself (as long as you are open to others around you being in the buff!), you should certainly give this a try! James maintains his property so well and you can tell he loves the land. The facilities were immaculate! From the bathroom and outdoor showers to the pool and hot tub, we were incredibly impressed at how clean everything was. We went into the weekend figuring it would be something fun to say we did once, but by the end of the weekend, agreed we will definitely return! Sunset views were amazing and we took the opportunity to snap some fun pics too 😆 Thanks James for sharing your beautiful property with us!
