Family-friendly camping near Marion

We loved the open space between sites. The campgrounds were very clean and welcoming. Brian stopped by to introduce himself and welcome us. We arrived early after asking permission so we could hike the 5 miles of trails in the woods. We saw deer, turkey and lots of birds. Great place to relax.

We had an amazing time. Brian was respectful of privacy, but on the spot when called. We had an amazing, quiet, peaceful weekend. The trails were perfect for de-stressing without the mountain climbing. We will be back.

1 night at River Camp Fort Wayne

River camp is a wild, natural area just minutes from the hustle and bustle of Fort Wayne. It's amazing how remote it feels. Marla is a great host, and has kept the natural feel while having every convenience you would want while camping. I sat down on the river watching geese with goslings, and a Bald Eagle that was hunting for a relaxing evening.

Once again we had another amazing trip out to this little hidden gem! You won't be disappointed visiting river camp!! The cabin is the best for families or little couples getaway!!

Extremely quiet, beautiful and lots of friendly furry animals. The directions for the RV site were a little hard to follow, but we found it easily enough. The interactive farm map was not very easy to use and since it’s a complex you really need a map. We did pay extra for an alpaca tour and firewood but there was no one there. When we called the host, he didn’t seem to know anything about it and wasn’t there but had his nieces deliver some wood eventually. Had to cook our steaks over a small camp grill instead of the fire because we couldn’t wait any longer. Lots of very friendly kitties to defend dinner from. They almost got our meal at one point. .

We loved staying at Heritage Farms! The creek was a nice add on and I love how secluded the Creek side camping was, we had a blast and would come again!

Thoughtful host, and a sweet little cabin in nature. Enjoyed our time.

We had such a great time camping and using their little cabin that has just about everything you would need to camp! Not only has a queen bed but also a twin bed for your kid's our two boys fit in it( 6 and 9 years old). My personal favorite is they think of all the stuff for your family to be comfortable! Their property is beautiful and my kids love playing in the river!!

Low key, relaxed experience. Kids had a blast with all the cats, animals and exploring!

3 nights at Heritage Farm Stay Adventure

The cabin is amazing. They have added a driveway to the cabin with a parking spot next to it. It is spacious, with a wood burning stove, electric, and water. There is a tv, dvd player, queen bed, twin bed, and a futon couch. The best part is the hosts are amazing.

Our stay at Heritage Farm was lovely. It was just what we expected. No surprises or disappointments. We plan to return in the future for sure!

Tim and Beth are great hosts with an amazing property. The alpacas, chickens, dogs, cats and the quiet are the most calming camping site you could ever want. It's a working farm. It doesn't feel like a working farm. It feels like a home in the country and we can't wait to come back!
