Absolutely beautiful property. The farm animals, (dogs, cats, alpacas) added a special touch that animal lovers would enjoy.
Communication was exceptional. Tim was very nice about asking whether or not I preferred the barn lights left on or off before he went back inside.

It was beautiful watching the sunset. over the alpacas in the field. As we sat by the fire making dinner. Friendly kitties almost took one home in our pocket… they were just so darn cute! But our Harry ( spoiled kitty) wanted nothing to do with the cute animals. Wonderful stuff purchased at their store that was made from the farm.

Heritage Farm was such a great getaway to slow down and soak in nature’s sounds and farm life! We enjoyed it all- from hiking in the woods with the goats to feeding and walking the alpacas! All experiences we have never had. Our daughters (ages 3 & 5) especially loved the huge slide down the hill and the adorable cats and kittens to play with. Tim and Beth are wonderful hosts! If you’re looking for a great place to unwind and reset, Heritage Farm is truly the place to escape to!

Pros: RV electric hookups. Clean onsite bathroom with running water, sink, flushing toilet and shower. Nice well maintained camping sites (tent and RV). Plenty of land to roam and enjoy nature. Beautiful views of the lakes, nature and wildlife.
Cons: Limited number of firepits. All 5 RV sites share one firepit. Not a real issue if you're the only one there but not great if there are other groups booked on site. Some of the camping sites have firepits but not all of them. Lakes have some junk in them, tires, etc. There is overflow from the river so when it floods the river flows into the lakes and it brings along the trash with it. It wasn't too bad but does give you pause when considering swimming or fishing.
Overall: We had a great trip and will book here again. The pro's outweigh the cons and it was a lot of fun getting away for a weekend with friends.

Absolutely loved staying here! I car camp with my agility dogs and was looking for somewhere to stay while in the area competing. Sometimes it's hard to find a place that a) allows dogs and b) allows people to sleep in their cars and c) has spots you can drive into. This fit all the bills so I was really happy to be able to stay!
Forrest met me at the gate and we talked farm animals, chickens, ducks... he showed me the camping area and gave me a choice of a few areas. I got set up in a nice spot that was easy to get into and out of because I leave very early (read: very dark!) in the morning for the start of our competitions.
It's quiet and private, even though there were some other campers. LOTS of space, so even in the area I was setting up in, I had the room to find some nice level ground to park.
I was gone much of the day and early to bed both nights I stayed, but the farm looks incredible and no doubt the farm tour would provide an amazing experience if you have kids. There's a huge variety of farm animals!
Easy to find with a sign right on the main road to steer you in. Outhouse on the property is always a big benefit!
Loved staying here and will definitely be back!

Heritage Farms was a unique location. Directions were clear and hosts responsive. Upon arrival we were met and assisted to our site (red barn RV). There were many pens of alpacas and our site was next to one. We were greeted by the friendly dogs and there were many kittens. The farm and buildings are well maintained and there are beautiful flowers. You do need to understand it is a working alpaca farm and if that isn’t your thing then it wouldn’t be for you. There was less privacy where our site was located due to the attraction of the animals.

Amazing spot!! Allen was such a kind and welcoming host. There are kayaks in the storage bin that you can use to float and enjoy the water. There’s also a great pond next to the farm with huge fish! The river is shallow, so it’s not really for swimming, but it’s perfect for relaxing and enjoying water activities. Totally recommend!!

Nice secluded and quiet little camp on a lazy river. Tom was easy to work with and very responsive. He answered my pre-trip questions within hours. I had a chance to meet Tom as I was leaving and it was great to get to know him and hear how his family has managed the property over the years. The camp itself is set in a quiet section of rural Indiana so you'll navigate a few miles off the freeway through cornfields and stands of hardwoods. The entry to the camp is through a gate in their field. You are close to other neat and tidy little homesteads and small farms, but the camp site is set well back from the road and is quiet and private. The road back is unpaved and you are driving essentially on a mowed grass strip on the edge of the farmers field until you get to the campground. Most vehicles will do fine, but you may not want to bring a low vehicle. There is room for likely 2-3 independent campers there if they spread out, the area has some nice little clearings in the trees, but the clearings are modest so a single vehicle or a vehicle with a small trailer would be best. I had a large SUV and was towing a small 7 foot wide by 15 foot long trailer (tongue to tail) and it was manageable. There is no water or electricity to the camp. But there is a clean porta potty and nice touches like plenty of trash cans, a picnic table, and Tom has been very good to supply plastic tubs of some standard camping items and things you may have forgotten.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The site was not only beautiful, but very well maintained and clean. My boys enjoyed exploring the land and cooling off in the river. Thomas was quick to respond to any questions we had and offer suggestions for food. I would definitely recommend the camp site/ host to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!

Had a great stay at the Riverside Site this past weekend! It was peaceful and quiet, with just a few kayaks and rafts drifting down the river, adding to the relaxing vibe. The canopy of trees provided plenty of shade, and a nice breeze kept us cool all weekend. Allen was a fantastic host—great communication and even let us check in early, which we really appreciated. Highly recommend this spot for a chill getaway!
