The Haven is nestled on 3 acres of beautiful land on the St Joseph River. Our property setting is a hidden gem that opens to the most beautiful natural setting. The land offers a gorgeous view of the river and numerous shady sites nestled underneath a giant array of Oak, Beach and Walnut trees. Here at The Haven, the property has ample space for parking, room for various size camping tents and small pop-up tents small RV's, A dock for fishing, and access for kayaking. Fire pits and grill area for cooking and a complimentary bucket with some goodies to start you off. This setting is perfect for camping in a private nestled nook on the river. We have more than one area on the property to choose from. You can choose any site you would like: The River’s edge, Beach Area (site 1) Small RV and tent site, The River under The Canopy of trees (site 2) small RV and tent site, The Cove by the woods, small camper, and tent (site 4) great views of the river. The Cozy Corner (Site 3) by the woods on the river (this is a secluded corner and very private.) And last but not least our Cozy Camper vintage Trailer that sleeps up to 4 people with all the amenities and can accommodate campers with tents (2) (site 5). Come Stargaze or hangout at the “spot” (dock) comfortably and lounge with views of the water or sit by the campfire at “The Pit.” Every site is first come first serve. It is a bird lovers paradise with a large variety of birds. The fisherman's cabin has electricity. The shepherd's huts are off grid, as well as, the tent sites. Each site is very private and has a fire ring and picnic table and benches.

The cabin was perfect and better than we remember when we stayed last year! Titus was kind enough to start the fire for us since we were arriving late. Very comfortable stay for us and our cats. You get an incredible view of the stars when it’s a clear night and the sound of the water trickling in the pond was soothing.

Titus is a very caring host. He is very prompt to communicate and he made sure I was doing ok during my stay (I was hot tent camping in snow). His thoughtfulness and creativity was everywhere in the campground - instructions were found right at the amenity I didn’t have to ask anything. I came on my own this time but I’d love to come back with kids next time. They would love the swing, the ship, fishing and animals.

Titus has created a great little get away! The grounds were well kept and sites are all far enough away from each other that there is a lot of privacy. He was a very helpful and welcoming host. Would definitely recommend staying here. Google maps will try to take you to the wrong house (the one just before) so just make sure you look for the actual address. It’s the driveway lined with trees on both sides.

What a great little spot to camp for the weekend. I loved waking up and having a view of the river and the woods on the other side. Kat provided everything we needed, including a s'mores kit! Our site was far enough away from the other sites that we had privacy. This campsite was great for peace and quiet and space to get away with our little dog.

We had to have a place to make the s’mores the hosts so graciously provided!

Centrally located to many interesting places. Titus very friendly and showed me where everything was. Showerhouse and outhouse(pump toilet) exceptionally clean and well stocked. Even had towels incase you forgot. Loved waking up in the morning with the sheep in the fields. It rained while I was there and Titus let me move to higher site with no issues. Hope to visit again in the future.

Beautiful and peaceful! Such a treat to be the only camper. Nice trails that include a wooded area in addition to the bee sanctuary. Host Joe was great making sure we had what we needed and provided a map of the property so we were sure to find our way around. Highly recommend!
