This is a great spot if you are visiting Moscow. It is real close to town which makes for an easy commute. However, it is also far enough out of town to make you feel like you are on a farm or truly camping. The hosts are very friendly and quick with communication. The site was very clean and level. I definitely will be back and would recommend this to others!

Dreamy place. Smells like pine trees all day. Beautiful views of the Palouse. Its very well set up. Hot water in the faucet and bathoom. The outside sink was a plus. The table is very big, lots of dry firewood, spacious area, lots of parking, sting lights, the owners were very accomodating, flexible and very welcoming. The kids were very loud and they didn't once come over or say anything.

Beautiful location. Easy to maneuver into spot, with privacy and stunning views of farmland. Five minutes from downtown Moscow and 20 minutes to the WSU campus. Had full hook up with fire pit, chairs, and firewood. Nick was a lovely host – friendly, warm, even offered us fresh eggs from his barn! Already booked a second stay for spring.

The campsite was clean with full hook up (water and sewer). Camp chairs, fire wood, and a garbage receptacle was provided. Wish the weather was better to enjoy the space more. Second site with full hook ups is also available.
Directions to the site were very accurate and the host offered us the other site to get out of the weather, but we couldn't pass up the view from the silo site.

Loved our stay at Grain West. Nick is an amazing host who has a beautiful property, just as pictured, with amazing sunsets. Don’t forget your s’more fixings as they have a lovely campfire pit! Clean, private & beautiful ! We were there for a football game so didn’t get to spend as much time on-site so I can’t wait to go back when we can really enjoy the views and the peace!

I hate to leave a good review because I want this place just for myself!!!
This Hip Camp is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful views.
On top of the scenery, the amenities were fantastic. The grounds were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully laid out. The bathroom and shower were spotless, the site was spacious, and it was clear the host really cares about keeping everything in top condition.
The hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, going out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect. Their warmth and attention to detail made the experience even more special.
It’s rare to find a place that combines natural beauty with such comfort and convenience, but this spot has it all. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back — highly recommend to anyone looking for a camping experience that’s both stunning and stress-free!

This site has nice pine trees, which contribute to privacy and a feeling of being in the woods. We easily backed our 30’ fifth wheel into this spacious site. Travis has provided some extremely appreciated amenities, such as a giant picnic table and trash can. This was our second stay here and we greatly enjoyed sitting under the awning eating dinner, listening to the sound of the drizzling rain and pine cones dropping to the ground.

We stayed at Crooks Lookout for the second time, and it was just as wonderful as our first visit. Travis keeps the campsite extremely well maintained, and the setting is peaceful and quiet with plenty of privacy—exactly what we were looking for. His dog, Mater, greeted us warmly and stopped by to visit during our stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We also had the pleasure of meeting Travis himself; he’s a genuinely generous and welcoming host. Everything about our stay was top notch, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again!

was an amazing stay! Travis was super nice and even brought us fresh veggies from their garden when he came up to introduce himself. His pup was the sweetest and gave us a warm welcome too. The shower and toilet were such a luxury to have after days of camping and driving. The spot itself is peaceful, with beautiful views, and you can tell Travis has put a lot of thought into making it comfortable while still feeling like real camping. We’d definitely come back!

Perfect! Beautiful location, friendly host, and very well designed glamping amenities! We had the most easy-going camping experience, and will definitely be back!
We arrived late, and were welcomed by lovely patio lights — made it easy to unpack and setup camp in! The kitchen sink & counter, flushing toilet and hot shower made our whole stay luxurious and easy. Even a garbage can was provided, so we didn’t have to pack our own bags and pack it out. A huge, beautiful picnic table with a view, a fire pit and firewood… this spot made camping simple, easy and beautiful. This was a luxury camp-style.
The highway is right next to camp, but it was pretty quiet at night. I always wear ear plugs, and slept fine. My family slept fine without them, but for light sleepers it might be a good idea to pack some.
