Hymas Family Farm is an operating regenerative agricultural farm. We have cows to milk, eggs to gather, sheep to tend to and pigs to feed each morning. We have a farmstore on site for eggs, steak, chops, bacon and milk. Sometimes we even have soft serve, organic ice cream available. Pickleball and basketball court is also available at the farm for you to enjoy. A shower and bathroom is also provided for guests.

Are you looking for an adventure and opportunities to explore the wilderness and Lake Koocanusa? Come experience camping off grid in the true beautiful nature and wildlife of Montana. I have an off grid ranch on 161 acres bordered by the Kootenai National Forest and Lake Koocanusa just down the dirt road. It's very wooded but does have a few open meadows. My land is very private surrounded by beautiful mountains, forestry, wildlife and streams/creeks. The lake has a great beach front for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, etc. There's a boat launch 3 miles away for bigger boats or pontoons. My property also provides direct access to hundreds of miles of trails for hiking, horse trail riding, biking, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling.

This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek.
This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)!
Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi.
There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever!
We haven't added all the experiential options yet, so if there is something you are interested in please inquire.

It's four miles up a county-maintained dirt road and one mile to a non-motorized lake.
I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid!
If you're bringing a pet, they must be on a leash and be quiet pets. If you are bringing a child they also need to be quiet and respectful. I want to keep my neighbors and my other guests happy with a peaceful atmosphere. Thank you!

We loved our stay at the farm! The tent was private in the woods and we came up to the farm’s shop for fresh ice cream and fresh eggs and also paid extra to help milk a cow haha our daughter loved the cows! The zipper didn’t work on the tent but otherwise everything was so lovely. We used the cook stove and they had some cook supplies in there too which was super nice. Would definitely recommend , I always wanted to try out glamping and the whole family had a lot of fun with it.

I cannot say enough great things about this experience! We LOVED the hosts- Shayne and Ryder, the horse accommodations were a dream, and the trail riding was exactly what we were hoping for! We cant wait to go back!

It was a great place to stay and wound up being really close to the disc golf course we wanted to play. They had cute little goats they were very accommodating and had the generator that we needed for my CPAP machine. We had no issues and it was a quiet great Montana place to stay.

A quiet getaway for our family. The stars were amazing at night. Our tent was surrounded by nature's beauty with wildflowers and greenery everywhere. A quick trip to Sand Point was easy and convenient for a short exploratory afternoon away. Lori was very friendly and gave a quick tour upon arrival.

Shayne and Ryder were fantastic! They were extremely welcoming and allowed us to go anywhere on the ranch! This meant we spent lots of time with the horses, also known as "Wolverines", and the dozen little goats! We would definitely stay here again on future trips to that area!

This was our 2rd experience camping at Shayne and Ryders property this summer. There are lots of trails choose from to match riding skills of you and the ability of the your horse. We went on several 14 mile rides. The views were totally awesome. Shayne and Ryder are exceptional host and way beyond the call of duty to make you and the horses welcome and comfortable. We are looking forward to next stay and trails riding experience.

Me and my best friend arrived at 2:30 and Ben was not available when we arrived due to an emergency, but immediately picked up the phone to make us feel comfortable and gave us an over the phone tour until he came back home.
It’s a huge camping site and they were all very welcoming and kind. We unfortunately were not able to use the zip line but we used the rope swing and paddle boards provided.
The trail about 10 minutes away is not marked on any trail apps, but is very beautiful once you’re up there. Ben offered to give us directions if we could not find it, but it was pretty easy to come across!
We were offered us some fresh strawberries from the farm which was very gracious!! All in all very sweet people, amazing (mostly private) campsite, would absolutely recommend, and will definitely be coming back.
