Hello. My name is Tamara and my husband is Andy. We bought this place in 2022 with the goal of raising animals humanely and providing good food options to purchase at reasonable prices. After moving to Ontario I noticed there are not many good options for nighttime sleep. I fondly remember camping with our kids in a location we named Neverland. We decided we wanted to create that for people. That’s why we joined Hipcamp. We have several sites that range from close to the house and bathroom access to remote in a field with the sounds of the creek to lull you to sleep. To increase safety and aid in positive memory making, only one group is allowed at a time. We have lots of space so whether you are a lone traveler, a family, or a group of friends looking to make memories consider staying with us and our animals. We generally have goats, chickens, and pigs. From July to October we have pheasants. Oh, and we have Cheese, our patrol duck, who wanders and keeps an eye on everything. He loves treats. Look us up on Facebook under Micone Ranch. Our driveway is immediately off Ontario Heights Rd. Google tells people to turn on Grand View Lane. There is no access to our property from that direction. We have a 300-gallon trash bin next to our mailbox that says camp host. Our driveway is immediately across the road from there. The bridge at the entrance to our property is 11' wide, which should allow a standard 8' RV to pass into the property. RV hook up is right off the driveway by the power pole. Ground is in its native form and only gets minimal rain. Some weeds and goatheads may be present. A small, creek runs through the front of the property year-round. Water is clearer during the winter and spring months. The spots I have cleared in this area are small. I recommend tent camping in this area. It is densely wooded. We have goats in this field; they are shy. We have goat treats available for sale if you would like to feed them. Oregon has an invasive, poisonous weed called Water hemlock. If you camp in this area, familiarize yourself with this plant so you can avoid it. Camping areas have been cleared of this plant. If you wander along the creek, you will encounter it.

PLEASE PACK OUT ANY TRASH. THANK YOU The address to the house next door is 519 MiddleFork Rd, Garden Valley, ID 83622. That will get you to the property. The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house. So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really. Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. Property used to be part of the Oregon Trail. Its history also included being a dairy farm and a corn field. Now a pretty yellow house sits on it. This large back field is empty, just waiting for you to park. There’s an outside bathroom- toilet and sink you may use. Learn more about this land: Perfect location in Caldwell with country feel. Peaceful field in back of property. Convenient to visit nearby wine country or College of Idaho. Only 25 miles to Boise. Dry camping only but can fill up your water. Fire pit with wood supply. You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. The host was very friendly. They have dogs that they're trying to train to not come to campers but the dogs are friendly. The goats weren't too noisy in the night. Having the use of an indoor bathroom was delightful! And it was not hard to find. It doesn't have real level spaces if you're in a big camper though.

Proximity to the river was wonderful and our dog loved having a swim! The tent spot had ample shade and perfect trees for our hammock too! As others commented, you can hear the road traffic but it was never bothersome. The site was great for our small family celebration!!

Weekend Trip to Micone Ranch

The farm is very rustic but delightful. Tamera the owner is fixing it up quite cute. with fruit trees and animals. The backyard is green and shady from the big old trees that surround it. Parking our camp trailer in the backyard shade by the irrigation ditch was great, and my granddaughters and dog loved cooling off in the water on a hot July afternoon. The goats were funny to watch in the morning, and the kids enjoyed meeting the pigs and holding baby pheasants. We bought some pork sausage from Tamera for our breakfast. I will return someday to see how the farm is progressing. Thank you Tamera, we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful, quiet location with very friendly & responsive hosts. They even waited up late for us to get there and were incredibly patient when we drove into the wrong area. We woke up to soft clucking of chickens and goats right out of our window! It was so nice to roll in and have fresh hamburger and eggs waiting for us by the hosts. Very happy!

Weekend Trip to Garden Valley River Access Campsite

Great location with river access. We pulled a small overland trailer with a rooftop tent and were able to find a nice, flat space, and get it leveled out. I don’t believe there is a beach but great water by the campsite. We didn’t make it to the water as we were visiting family, but our pups did. It’s a nice, long strip of mowed grass with mowed river access. The military vehicle mentioned as a marker was tucked behind what I think was a box trailer, but the property was evident and the address brought us right there. Quiet at night aside from occasional traffic and the river was audible from our tent.
