Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Magical 6 acre permaculture ranch just a few minutes to town, beaches and restaurants. Take a bath under a clear night sky, enjoy the morning birdsong and take a stroll on or off the property. We have free ranging chickens, a hidden spring surrounded by two creeks and wild plums. Happy Valley is a secret little gem of Santa Cruz. Plenty of space for relaxing, and amazing location for both convenience and adventures. (2 of the 3 sites have the tubs please read individual descriptions to find out if the one you chose has one)

Campsite with Soaking Tub - Site 1
Great location. Really close to town. Loved the Mystery Spot right down the road. We weren't expecting the few steps to get up to the site, but it was fine. Plenty of hot water. The kitchen area was nice to have available as well.

Campsites with Soaking Tub - Site 2
The site was fantastic, and the outdoor shower was amazing! It was very private and the hosts were very kind. I will say, the porta potty on site was so grossly full that I actually drove a mile down the road to use the public bathroom at the Mystery Spot. So, I don’t think it gets serviced very often, but overall we really enjoyed our time!

Campsites with Soaking Tub - Site 2
Our New Favorite Camping Spot
We had an amazing time here! Would stay again and would recommend this place to others. Having your own private picnic table and private shower/tub with running water added that extra bit of specialness to our camping experience here. Each camp spot has its own privacy walls which is great as well. There’s some lighting on site in each campsite too which was a nice added touch. There’s even this really amazing community kitchen with cooking utensils, sink, outdoor oven, stove, bbq and more. They even had a fridge in the community kitchen. We brought our 18 month old son and he absolutely loved it. He enjoyed visiting the chicken coop and walking in the open field on the property. Our host Patricia was very responsive, helpful and welcoming. We appreciated the nice conversation in person with her too! They really thought of everything here. Its close proximity to The Mystery Spot, Henry Cowell State Park and the nice little town of Scott’s Valley was great. This is such a great place to stay. Book your stay now!

This site has a steep hill to get to site. Very private site and unplugged from phones. Just enjoyed nature.

Campsite with Soaking Tub - Site 1
The shower/tub is a big attraction
I would recommend this site, but with a caveat: Neighbors are close, and the privacy is not perfect. I thought I had complete privacy towards the back of my campsite (number 1), but one of the overseers needed to fix the water supply which unbeknownst to me was located in the completely exposed wooded area just 10 ft or so behind me and she suddenly was there, without me realizing it. And, well, let's just say I was in a certain state but she didn't seem to mind at all and neither did I so there was no problem, and so I felt that I could indeed do what I wanted as if it were completely private without any worries as a result - but for some, that may not have been "no problem." Secondly, related to the neighbors being close, there was a young child in the next site who could be heard easily, which did nothing but give me delight because I miss my own kids being young plus I sleep like a log so noises don't bother me one bit. Again, maybe not delightful for everyone. Besides those two issues, Patricia responded to messages quickly, and was very friendly. Also, despite the incident with the overseer, everyone really did keep to themselves and I was never bothered inside my own campsite. Lastly, taking showers and bathing outside is really great.
