It was cute but more information about what the site included would be nice! I thought more was included like a mattress in the camper!

Best price to amenities ratio of the area; very practical. One of the best if not the best of the limited camp spots I've ever been to. Car camped on site 2, cooked a meal on my camping stove and was able to clean it all at the communal dish washing station. Filled up my water bottles after also cleaning them. The people on site are super kind as well and there is a great view of the stars at night.

Our stay here was great! We really enjoyed the little shelter, and we meet some very friendly folk who were camping in the sites next to us.

Site number 2 is private and cozy. The truck bed shelter was very helpful! Hosts were very responsive! Communal kitchen also great- could use a refresh on plates, cups, etc. but it was a great little spot to land!

Super nice to have a tub. Wonderful to wash off at the end of a sweaty day before crawling into bed. The sites feel private, but are right next to each other (with a divider) so it can be loud. I also added the firewood add-on, but there was a fire ban in effect, but did not get refunded :(

A great spot with good, happy energy and friendly hosts. The sauna was wonderful and the kitchen made it feel more like home than camping.

Fantastic value close to Santa Cruz
My first time using HipCamp and reserving a campsite—and I’m so glad I chose this spot! The owners are incredibly welcoming and friendly, and flexible when I had a fender bender causing delayed arrival.
The sites are spacious and private; and the soaking tubs have fabulously hot water. Shared kitchen was a plus, and the whole vibe was very peaceful and lovely nature around in the mountains. And less than 10 mins drive to Santa Cruz! Great spot 🤗

Thoroughly appreciate Patricia and the little haven they have created. The communal kitchen was a nice perk, didn’t have to use my camp stove and had a sink to do my dishes after! My favorite features were the outdoor tub, would recommend a night soak, and the sauna— absolutely worth the little upgrade!

This was a great spot with lots of thoughtful touches. It was really helpful to have the shared kitchen space. And the shower was great! As people have already noted, you are close to your neighbors with a privacy fence blocking you. Wasn't a problem for our stay, but something to keep in mind if being able to hear others bothers you. Ran into the owner with his kid in the morning and they were very sweet. Definitely would recommend this place!

My second time to this property. Very nicely laid out, the people are all friendly. Outdoor tub and shower are very nice. I was able to have a very relaxing, quiet time. Just what I wanted.

My wife and I really enjoyed this campsite. We really appreciated the privacy. Our favorite amenities were the soaking tub, string lights, and the lounge chair at the campsite. It made the whole atmosphere very relaxing and romantic. We brought a tent, but there is a little DIY camper built from remnants of an old truck bed to stay in should you feel inclined. Though fair warning, it got quite hot mid-day. The bathroom was just a port-a-potty, so not ideal but still nice to have somewhere to go. We appreciated only being 15 minutes from downtown and other cool places like Pleasure Point. It made finding food, grabbing forgotten supplies, or otherwise hanging out much easier. We appreciated the hosts communication and friendliness! Would recommend!

We booked site 2. It was private and had a fun she’d made from a truck bed. My girls spent the night in there. The tub had hot water and was so relaxing having a bath under the stars.

The spot worked great for me! I really appreciated having access to the shared outdoor kitchen. If I had more time I would have tried taking a walk down Happy Valley road.

Really loved the outdoor shower amenity and it felt very private, though the sites were very close and I could hear my neighbor's conversation. I will likely stay here again next time in Santa Cruz though as I liked the environment and felt safe. Loved the outdoor kitchen it was helpful to be able to make coffee and clean my cooler.

Patricia’s land is perfectly tucked away and really peaceful. She was also really helpful, friendly and responsive. We didn’t stay long but I would absolutely come again.

I stayed in Site #2. I found it to be more private and cozy than the pictures suggested. The camper made out of a pickup truck bed retained heat well. I would caution that the camper is likely not wide enough for two to share, or long enough for XL length sleeping pads to fit. The shower got hot enough, and the kitchen setup was extremely adequate, though I was frustrated by the lack of hand towels or dish rags.

Great location that's only 10-15 minutes away from Santa Cruz, yet you feel surrounded by nature. The outdoor shower and tub area at Site @ is the best! The water was hot and has good pressure. Sleeping in the 'trailer' was comfortable as long as you bring warm and padded camping gear because the temperature drops at night. I'd camp here again!

We had an amazing time and the environment was a breathe of fresh air. The owners are so kind and everything there is super easy to figure out. Its a nice private space, with kind people. The fire pit was a plus.

Loved this place. I enjoyed a comfy couch with a view of the redwoods at dusk, slept in a converted pickup truck bed with my head under the stars, and had a hot, outdoor shower under the fog in the morning. It offers a nice combination of shared and private spaces.

Was looking for a cheaper option than hotels to bring my 4yr old to Santa Cruz and this was perfect. We ended up not leaving the site because it was so perfect. Chickens, garden, beans, toys. Full shared kitchen at the camp sites. Grounds are well maintained and the residents are great. Patricia was so friendly and accommodating and our little ones ended up playing all day. Very cute and excited to come back to see our friends

although I read the information for Patricia‘s place and the welcome packet noting that there were other properties and people on the property, I didn’t quite understand how many folks to expect on site until Patricia came out to meet me. Yes, there are other folks who live on site, as well as visitors who are booked for their other sites, and they all sure the outdoor kitchen, outhouse, and communal facilities. I felt more at ease when Patricia explained that to me, as I was traveling solo for this stay. I was a previous review had said, neighbors are pretty close to site one, and I ended up moving to site two instead—which I did like more because of space, the fire pit, and the little hut with string lights and a charging outlet inside. I did request a firewood, bundle and use it in the fire pit in site two. I had a little room in the fridge to store leftovers, and I didn’t stay long enough to walk around the property and use the tub but I did enjoy my camping experience here a lot. You can hear cars from the site, but I slept like a baby. I did wake up with the animals, a little after dawn and around sunrise. I’m an early riser so that didn’t bother me, but for those that like to sleep in then maybe some earplugs might help. Also, the location is close to town driving-wise and I appreciate all of the recommendations in the welcome packet. I’d be down to stay here again!

Grass was nice to pitch the tent on. Listing did mention there were other peeps on the property, but that turned out to be a negative bc there was often someone in the shared kitchen. All supplies had to be schlepped across the parking lot and up twelve stairs - not mentioned in the listing as I recall. The fee was too much for what we got. Weed whacker started at around 8 am. These negatives should have been mentioned in the listing.
