You could say Boise National Forest is in the tri-forest area. It is surrounded on all sides by Payette, Salmon-Challis, and Sawtooth National Forests, it is situated conveniently close to both urban fun in Boise, and limitless wilderness adventures everywhere else. Alpine tundra is dotted with evergreen forest in the green rolling hills here, topped with snow, and anchored by sparkling valley waterways. The Payette River is great for rafting, while Banks Beach and Beehive Bend are just some of the prime access points on the forest’s 250 lakes and reservoirs (Arrowrock Reservoir has surprisingly primo salmon fishing for central Idaho). Hikers will find 500 trails, including some that lead to 360-panoramic views at fire lookouts. Dwight is super nice, responsive, and accommodating! Super hard working guy, and fun to talk to. The sites aren’t exactly what I was expecting, but they are in good working order, other than a 50amp wiring problem that I let Dwight know about. The 30 amp and 120V worked great! A little close together, and the long-term stayers are a little on the rougher side, but everything was quiet at night while I was there on a weekday. They seemed nice and kept to themselves, just are a little rough around the edges. You will have to share a water spigot (using a Y-connector), which works just fine… but my spigot did not have a Y piece. The spigot was already in use by my neighbor, and so I had to fill up on my way out at the site nearest the end. Dwight said there was supposed to be one there, and all the other spigots did have one. Just check it before you park it :) neither of these power and water uh-oh’s were an immediate issue for me since I run off of my tank 100% of the time and can use any power source. Your mileage may vary. Dwight seemed eager and ready to address and fix either issue immediately if needed. These are pull through sites - just figure out which indirection you want to pull in from. There is a little dirt path that goes around the backside you can pull around and/or through. He’s out there working hard to keep improving the place as time, money, and energy allow. Have a visit and be open minded :)

We loved this serene oasis!! Brittany is an outstanding host. So very kind and gracious. Quick to respond. We love the horses, sunset, the neat lava bed and just the peaceful vibe Brittany’s home place conveys. We definitely will be back. MUST try her sourdough bread! Fabulous !! Her tallow cream is so so nice too. She met us the day we left to bring us beef we purchased. We look forward to trying. She also gifted us w homemade cinnamon rolls. Yummm!! Last but not least sweet Bruce her adorable dog who ran to meet us at the gate and stayed w us till w were settled in was an absolute sweetie!! Cannot wait to come back!

Weekend Trip to Copus Cove

This a beautiful horse farm. Very quiet. With beautiful sunsets. Full HU. But not posh. There are several full timers. More like temporary housing. BUT they are good people. The site is not very level. You will need to level. I was not able to get 100% but 90% isn’t awful for my camper. I was only staying 3 days. BUT o my goodness. 13 miles away and you can be at Snake River Canyon for kayaking. Very nice. Host is easily accessible. And the horses are 20 feet from the camp site.

What a beautiful place...stayed there for one night on our way from Washington State to the Zion. Plenty of space for a big rig...we have a 27ft but can definitely accommodate a bigger one since it has plenty of space to turn around. We had water in our trailer already and only used the power but had sewer as well. Was great to wake up to a beautiful view! Denise is a great host!
