Nice surroundings, quiet and felt secure. Code for entry was wrong so probably need to update that. We were able to get it from the fruit stand before close. But if we arrived later not sure what we'd do. Overall great experience.

Lovely and peaceful spot! Unfortunately we couldn’t make it before dark so had a hard time navigating to the place and within the grounds. But once we got settled we were amazed by the Milky Way view - best stars I’ve seen in a long time! The sheep gave us a very friendly greeting & we thoroughly enjoyed the fruit stand offerings. Def recommend it for a basic and peaceful camping experience!

There was plenty of room for my van, and it was flat at that. The cabin is quite serene, and is the perfect temperature for sleeping. The shower and restroom are near camp. This is the complete camp site!

Rose and Family were very nice and accommodating, making it very easy to find. It felt very safe and secure there. Her beautiful land and Fruit Stand were the real stars of the show!!! We woke to a deeply beautiful landscape with sheep roaming close by, who grazed pleasantly close to us during our breakfast; and afterwards we partook of her very tasty Fruit Stand!!! Definitely recommend both the chilled coconut and the fresh squeezed sugar-came and ginger juice!!!

We absolutely loved the open cabin to hear the rain and frogs at night. It was so peaceful! It does have a bug net and we had zero bugs inside.

Dear Carrie,
We had 2 great nights on your property above the mountains of Kona with an unbelievably great view.
The outdoor shower was great, really hot. The arrangements were very uncomplicated and the contact with you was very sincere and pleasant. We love the little Hut you build and the view from the dining table. Hope we gonna be back sometime. Mahalo!

Carrie’s land is fantastic! We loved the cabin, privacy and sunset views. I highly recommend staying here. Driving up from the beach to higher elevation was a lovely transition from the hot, drier beach experience and we liked the proximity to Kona.

Carrie was such an amazing host! With clear instructions to her beautiful location, we were able to find it with no issues. It was such a wonderful experience with my little Ohana, we enjoyed our dinner with the stars & nice fire pit keeping us warm. My kids said this was the best shower ever after a long day! (Esp with hot water) hehe The Cabin was a bonus, we are grateful to find this gem, you will definitely enjoy your peace in nature if that’s what you’re seeking! I highly recommend & plan to come back. Our new fav place in Kona, Thank you for making this available for us campers!! 🥹💞🙏🏽🪴

We only stayed here for a night, and it was a lovely experience. The hill is lush, quiet, and clean. We enjoyed saying hi to the neighbor's ponies! The location is close to the airport, a few gorgeous beaches, and shopping places.
Carrie was so sweet and even got on a phone call and guided me to the property when I was having a hard time with directions. The shower was my favorite part! So relaxing 😌

Sailo's Rest was a great place. The location was out of the way but convenient to the attractions on thst end of the island. It was well stocked with necessities and extras.

Carrie has a fantastic spot! So ideal we booked it for several more nights right away. It’s close to Kona town and the airport, easy directions, plenty of space with nice green grass, great views, and awesome amenities - it was great to have the picnic table and fire. The outdoor shower is really nice - the bathroom is just a porta potty (which you can smell in the shower a bit), BUT it was fresh and clean, which counts for a lot! The A frame cabin is fabulous - super comfy and cozy, and no bugs got through the netting at all. All the little details at this place are super well thought out, and Carrie was generous and had excellent communication. 10/10 would stay again!

Favorite HipCamp on the big island. Carrie was extremely responsive to our questions, made us feel welcome and safe.
Little cabin was perfect-clean-well cared for and comfortable. Watched sunsets laying in bed listening to the frogs and birds.
Shower was a pleasure-hot water and a plenty of it in a nicely designed bamboo surrounding ceramic tile backing.
Highest recommendation for this site.

We had a great stay here. Carrie is very accommodating and has good communication. We stayed there during a windy storm and felt safe and the roads handled the weather fine. Beautiful views!

We loved staying on Carrie’s land! It was beautiful and convenient to Kona. She had so many nice touches that made our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. We had 4 in our group… 2 camped in a tent and we (2) stayed in the new cabin. The cabin was so cute and comfy! We slept so well. Carrie was very kind and accommodating and we would love to stay here again in the future.
