I built this cabin with exciting plans to host and share with guests. It has a beautiful ocean view with 3 separate beds (Queen, Twin to King convertible, and another twin). The off-grid setup offers solar power, hot propane showers, flush toilet (all tioletries to be placed in garbage/ NOT flushed). Kitchenette options include Propane camp stovetop on the lanai, microwave, electric skillet, french press for coffee, ice maker, and an outdoor bar area with picnic table. Glamping at its finest! This is a cabin in Hawaii, When visiting Hawaii, you may see and experience things like geckos and ants. We actually enjoy our friendly geckos at Sailors Rest so please don't offended when you see one trying to hang out with you. During your stay, please respectfully keep the place tidy and clean with food in the supplied sealed containers and/or in the fridge to help avoid ants and other unwanted pests. Also, if you're thinking about renting a Fat Tire E-Bike while your visiting Volcano or elsewhere, please let me know. I offer a rental to cruise around Kaʻū for a fraction of the cost. ***Please note that the hot tub is temporarily out of service but will up and running again soonPLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING: 5 Guests can enjoy with the 3 bed options. There’s a King size bed in the main room, a queen bed up in the loft area, and a separate Twin size bed with tons of closet and dresser space. A Kitchenette with fridge/freezer, ice machine, microwave and electrical skillets. Propane stovetop outside. Bathroom and outdoor shower access is attached behind the cabin. Access to an outdoor bar area in the fenced yard. Ocean views inside and out. Within 1 hour from Kīlauea Volcanoes National Park, approximately 10 minutes to volcano Park Kahuku Unit, 9 miles to South Point, 10 minutes into Naalehu town, and the perfect mid-point between Kona and Hilo. Plenty of beaches and hiking close by! I’m almost always available to offer some friendly tips and advice for your next adventure! We have a Fat Tire E-Bike rental available on site. It's a fraction of the cost of what's available on island so don't be shy and let me know if you have any interest in checkin it out! Sailors Rest at Mark Twain
Sailo's Rest was a great place. The location was out of the way but convenient to the attractions on thst end of the island. It was well stocked with necessities and extras. Brian was a great host.

Main feedback: a very unclean place. Dirty windows, beds, cookware, dog hair everywhere.

We had a fabulous stay at Sailor's Rest. Brian is a very accommodating host. The cottage is just as described. In fact, we plan on a return visit.
