This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you.
Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege.
While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.
This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold.
We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats.

For guests unfamiliar with the Big Island, it is not like the other islands people travel to. If Oahu is more Americanized, the Big Island is still more of a Polynesian Island. Our property allows guests to enjoy a genuine local experience.
The cabins have power and endless hot water. All water on property is rainwater harvested from our roof!
At night your ears will be greeted by the forest with sounds of coqui frogs. Many people love them 🐸 Please search for Bathing Suits and Rain Boots on YouTube to find a video of what our property sounds like at night. Our channel also features videos of tours we offer. More to be uploaded, check back often! Our tours include off the beaten path adventures ranging from sunrises and geothermal Kings baths, to prawn hunting to hikes that lead to waterfalls! They are all local gems that you will not find online or offered by any other tour guide agency. We are updating our ig @bathingsuitsandrainboots regularly with footage from adventures as well!
Beach gear such as surf boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear is also available. There is a detailed welcome packet with a variety of mostly free but some paid must see/do activities on the island!
There are a total of 4 cabins on the one acre lot. The owners are on property, other guests may or may not be here as well. There is a dog Valentine, two outdoor cats named Ghost and Tomi, and chickens/ducks.
Each cabin has a queen mattress. We rent both cabins out for larger groups.
Jungle massages are available on site starting at $100 for the hour.
Please note the main image capturing a lava cliff sunrise is not visible from the cabin. It is about a 30-40 minute drive from us 🌊 ☀️ 🌋
We are at 1880ft elevation so it can get chilly at night. Winters are also rainy season so if traveling to the Big Island in the winter, I suggest some light layers for warmth, a raincoat and rain boots.

This is a breathtaking space that our family has poured many decades and multiple generations into. We are surrounded by jungle, with a freshwater stream running through the entire property and unobstructed mountain views. If you’re especially sensitive to mosquitos, bugs, geckos, free roaming chickens or other elements to be expected in nature, this might not be the place for you.
Waimanalo is a small agricultural town filled with nurseries, horse stables, and a high concentration of Hawaiian homes. It remains mostly undeveloped and authentic, and we aim to keep it that way. Outsiders do not often get the opportunity to stay back here, but we welcome respectful travelers looking for an authentic experience who can appreciate this privilege.
While nestled against the mountains, we're just a five minute drive from the beach. We are fifteen minutes from Kailua town, where you'll find several grocery stores, shops, and restaurants.
This is a working farm. While we are very hospitable, we are not in the business of hospitality. I am happy to accommodate travelers, but I am not here at your beck and call. If that is the experience you are seeking, I think you would be happier elsewhere. We appreciate all of your bookings, and profits go directly back into farm infrastructure and new fruit trees. We sell our fruits ripe and cut ready to eat at our roadside fruit stand, open 10-6 daily including holidays! We serve local fresh juices and machete open coconuts to drink ice cold.
We grow mango, durian, lilikoi, star fruit, chocolate sapote, buddhas hand citrus, finger limes, tangerines and tangelos, jackfruit, tree grapes, mangosteen, white pineapples, mountain apples, berries, spices and much more. We are home to dozens of rescue animals, many who came from Puna during the 2018 lava flow. Meet peaceful sheep, lambs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and a lovable pet pig. Not to mention our friendly farm cats.

For guests unfamiliar with the Big Island, it is not like the other islands people travel to. If Oahu is more Americanized, the Big Island is still more of a Polynesian Island. Our property allows guests to enjoy a genuine local experience.
The cabins have power and endless hot water. All water on property is rainwater harvested from our roof!
At night your ears will be greeted by the forest with sounds of coqui frogs. Many people love them 🐸 Please search for Bathing Suits and Rain Boots on YouTube to find a video of what our property sounds like at night. Our channel also features videos of tours we offer. More to be uploaded, check back often! Our tours include off the beaten path adventures ranging from sunrises and geothermal Kings baths, to prawn hunting to hikes that lead to waterfalls! They are all local gems that you will not find online or offered by any other tour guide agency. We are updating our ig @bathingsuitsandrainboots regularly with footage from adventures as well!
Beach gear such as surf boards, boogie boards and snorkel gear is also available. There is a detailed welcome packet with a variety of mostly free but some paid must see/do activities on the island!
There are a total of 4 cabins on the one acre lot. The owners are on property, other guests may or may not be here as well. There is a dog Valentine, two outdoor cats named Ghost and Tomi, and chickens/ducks.
Each cabin has a queen mattress. We rent both cabins out for larger groups.
Jungle massages are available on site starting at $100 for the hour.
Please note the main image capturing a lava cliff sunrise is not visible from the cabin. It is about a 30-40 minute drive from us 🌊 ☀️ 🌋
We are at 1880ft elevation so it can get chilly at night. Winters are also rainy season so if traveling to the Big Island in the winter, I suggest some light layers for warmth, a raincoat and rain boots.

We loved our stay in the cedar cabin! Living circles farm is beautiful, lush and even has views overlooking the ocean. I really wish we could have stayed longer. Kristian welcomed us to the living circles farm and let me harvest some bananas for my birthday! Life goals unlocked! Kristian was a great host and really gave us a grand tour of the property. The outdoor shower was hot, Bed was comfy, Stars were beautiful, and the bananas were top notch.

The is is our second stay at Living circle but our first time staying in the yurt. We love how close it is to beaches and Haleiwa. The property is beautiful and clean. Would highly recommend either camping here or staying in one of the yurts/small cabins. Make sure to check out the north shore farmers market if you find yourself up there on a Saturday, at the old sugar mill

This is just a lovely location and the price is so refreshing on Oahu. You will be surrounded by the sounds of birds, the smell of nature and the beauty of the mountains rising close behind the property. By the way Google maps worked fine to get to the property, the provided maps just clarified where on the property the tents were. We fit 5 adults into 2 tents.

This was our 2nd time staying at Living Circle Farm. The last time we stayed in a RV. This time we stayed in the yurt, which was glamping at its finest! Kristian took us on a tour of the property when we arrived. You can tell he really takes pride in his work managing the campsite. He was an excellent host and really made us feel welcome. We sat around the fire pit with another couple staying at the site and made s’mores. We really enjoyed our time this time around and look forward to coming back. I recommend bringing mosquito repellent along just in case.

Only negative...stinky scented detergent sheets. Otherwise; lovely view, nice bed, functional shared kitchen, quiet enough. I'd come again.

4 nights at Waimanalo Farmstay
The place to be on O’ahu! We had such a wonderful and magical stay here. The whole landscape on Lex and Dave’s farm is breathtaking. It actually brought tears to my eyes the first time I took it all in. The accommodation is comfortable. It is so nice to have a comfy bed, electricity, fan, and hot shower while still being immersed in nature. Definitely a lot of critters and the mosquitos loved me but some bug spray and the provided citronella candle helped a lot! We loved all the roosters and wildlife around, plus meeting the farm dog Shadow! We also enjoyed seeing all the lush trees, and banana flowers around the property. The guide provided by Lex and Dave is so thorough and everything we tried on the list was a great recommendation- especially the exotic fruit from Frankie’s nursery, fresh poke from Shimas, and all the beautiful white sand, turquoise water beaches. My family stayed in Waikiki so we got to take a peak at what was going on over there and we were so grateful to be where we were on the other side of the island- closer to nature, local culture, and where things moved a little slower- just our speed. We celebrated our engagement on this trip and couldn’t have picked a better place to relax and enjoy O’ahu. We were definitely sad to say Aloha goodbye. Mahalo Lex and Dave for providing a container for self reflection, connection with one another, and with nature.

Had a great time staying up in Living Circle. Chris who hosted us chopped up wood for the fire pit and showed us around his workshop, he’s the man. Peaceful getaway, hopefully will be back at some point.

Group trip
We had two of three houses on the land. The houses are powered by solar with kitchens, hot water showers and bio pump flush toilets. The surroundings are lush and beautiful. About 20-25 minutes to Volcano. Lovely stay.

we loved our hammock cabana stay here! it was very peaceful, the shared spaces were great, everyone was friendly, and there were amazing views from all around the property. the walk into town took about 20 minutes and we had the BEST breakfast and coffee from The Hive!

Weekend Trip to 🌈 Rainbow’s End Farm & Homestead!
We enjoyed our comfy bed and deck perch in the jungle. The open kitchen was lovely to cook in. Wendy was away, but communication was excellent, and the caretakers were available, helpful and welcoming. We were driving a Honda Fit with very low clearance, so we drove the rocky road VERY slowly, and planned to come and go only once a day (we spent two nights). I would stay there again for sure, but only if I had a vehicle with higher clearance.

This spot feels wonderfully secluded while still being conveniently close to nearby destinations. I stayed in the Orchard tent and it was truly a magical experience. I spent a full week there, including three rainy days, and instead of feeling inconvenient, it felt incredibly cozy, calm, and grounding—far more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. The tent has all the essentials: a comfortable space, the ability to cook your own meals, warm showers, and a proper bathroom. I absolutely loved my time there.

Weekend Trip to The Beach
We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this spot, especially for locals looking for a quiet, easy getaway without leaving the island.
The host, Kawika, was very communicative and helpful. We stayed in Hit the Cube, which felt more like glamping than camping. It’s a nicely upgraded trailer with a comfortable bed, TV, dining area, full kitchen (fridge/freezer), private bathroom, and reliable hot water. Everything was clean and well maintained.
The beachfront location was incredibly peaceful and uncrowded. We visited during stormy weather, so we didn’t get to enjoy the beach as much as planned until the last evening and morning, but even then it was beautiful. Aside from a few friendly night fishermen, the beach felt almost empty. We enjoyed using the beach fire pit, and on one sunny day my footprints were the only ones along the shore.
The property also felt very safe and secure. It’s gated, and we felt comfortable the entire time, day and night.
We’re locals and mainly wanted to relax and unplug. Ewa Beach was a great choice, with some surprisingly good nearby food options such as Spoon Bunsik and Domo Domo, a fancy new restaurant on a golf course 5 minutes down the road. Ewa Beach Massage & Spa down the road was a great couples massage experience as well. Would be a good spot for locals who like shoreline fishing at night too. Overall, this was a calm, unique, and relaxing place to stay, and we’d happily return—especially in better weather.

We loved our stay at the yurt!!! It stayed nice and dry even with lots of rainy days. The farm was incredibly peaceful, cute, and only a few minutes outside of town. Kristian was a great host and we’d for sure book again.
