Learn more about this land: We have a suburban hobby farm hidden away in the undeveloped acreage at the back of a 1960s subdivision. Everyone who comes down the driveway says "What?! How is this here? This is so cool!" And they are right. 4 friendly adult goats, 2 indoor-outdoor cats who like belly rubs, and a vegetable and ornamentals garden that hosts several Georgia natives and pollinator species. It's a happy and peaceful place! The woods around us support several owls, Coopers hawks, some deer and an occasional red fox. There is a small nature trail that features several beautiful places to meditate by the babbling creek. Access to our neighborhood's recreation area as our guest to the swimming pool is available for an extra fee of $5/person (May-Oct). (For the safety of our goats, your fur babies larger than 10lbs are not permitted. One of our goats lost an eye once to a dog, and she's never fully forgiven me. ) We have several housemates, so parking is limited to street parking (one vehicle for you).  Amenities on-site- Animal cuddling. Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Much of the rest of the renovations are done using upcycled and donated materials. Beautiful log cabin built in the early 1930’s and the front of the house used to be the bait shop. We have the biggest lot on the lake and the best view. In the winter, you can see Stone Mountain in the background. We have a large fire pit, a large metal kayak and a Jon boat. Our lake is fully stocked with largemouth, smallmouth bass and blue gills. Plenty of cool places to put a tent and we are up on a hill so no need to worry about floods. The Bait Shack has 1 bedroom with a queen bed and bunkbed that has a twin and full sized bed. Also a large couch in the living room and an air mattress under the bunk bed just in case. Our property was also used for two of T-Pain’s new music videos.

SureWood FoRest is a fantastic spot for escaping to nature. The sites are a way back on the property and well separated. It was a little muddy where I set up, but rain will do that. My dog loved being off lead and exploring nearby while I cooked and tended the fire. She was a little disappointed that the goats didn't want to meet her. We took some nice walks around the property, and drove over to High Falls State Park to hike the trail there. I definitely recommend this camp if you're looking to unplug and unwind.

Weekend Trip to Secluded Riverbend Camp

We did a weekend getaway here and were immediately overwhelmed with peace. This site is ideal for quiet reflection, prayer, and rest. There are a couple of houses nearby, but they are not on the campsite property and do not affect the experience. One is briefly visible when you first enter the area, but it disappears once you drive deeper into the woods. The other sits across the creek, about 600 yards up the hill, and is only noticeable if you walk all the way down to where the creek meets the river. The constant sound of the creek flowing next to camp is incredible. It created a calm, grounding atmosphere during our reflections and helped us sleep deeply each night. There is plenty of open space to walk, explore, and set up multiple tents comfortably. The drive in was easy, even in the rain, and we had no issues without four wheel drive. Directions were clear. Just continue straight to the gate marked “Hipcamp” when your GPS says you’ve arrived. If you’re looking for an off the grid style retreat that still offers some cell service and easy access to supplies, this place strikes a beautiful balance between seclusion, peace, and practicality. We left feeling rested, centered, and grateful.

When I first pulled in, I saw little heads bobbing, geese! Then when I pulled around to my campsite the road led through a little creek any f150 or bigger could get through no problem!!! How awesome is that?! Then, a downfall, the power went out but we had the generator and gas hooked up in a jiffy, with that being said, the man offered to pay for our gas to run our small heater microwave and tv, along with an easy to remember wifi password which worked so well out by the small uncovered lake pavilion. I traveled in an f350 with a camper on top and had very little to no branches above head that got in the way. This is a fine camp and he was able to make us aware of anything when it went wrong or wasn't working properly.

This is a great secluded spot for over night or a weekend trip. Me and my two brother in laws wanted a quick getaway. It was easy to get to. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. I had plenty of room for my sprinter and a jeep with two tents and space for cooking around the fire. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.

This is a nice place to camp, near the interstate, so it's easy to get pretty much anywhere. It's a quiet fenced-in area with two superwide automatic gates. Using the MyQ app made it easy to go in/out. The side was wide and with 50 amp, water, and sewer.

We had an awesome time at Lula Disk House! We opted to tent camp instead of glamping and we loved the primititive area where we set up! I have never stayed somewhere so peaceful and private. The bathrooms were beautiful and well stocked, and there was a sweet dog who seems too live there who found us a few times. We absolutely loved the OG Lula course and cannot wait to return to try Red Hawk Ridge. This site is within driving distance of Tallulah gorge and Helen if you are up for the journey! We have already recommended this place to all the disk golfers we know and will definitely be back!
