Hello Campers, We are a 125 acre property that has 36 holes of championship disc golf. The North Oconee River runs through our property as well as three ponds throughout. We have plenty of room to pitch your tents. It really depends on how far you would like to be from the bathhouse. We are 6 miles from Lake Lanier and the Chattahooce River, and a short drive to hiking/mountain biking trail heads. We have a wonderful bathhouse with restrooms, showers and laundry just a very short walk from our sites (maintained by the staff at the park). We're also pet-friendly and love our furry campers! Just add the pet fee for each pet in the extras section at check out or send us an email letting us know ahead of time and we will get that added. We just ask that you do not leave your pet alone in the tents at any time unless properly crated. You are financially responsible for any damage that is done to our accommodations by your pets.

What a gem! Amazing location, fantastic amenities, friendly staff and campers! We stayed in a glamping tent and it was impressive! Lots of chairs and cushions for outdoor seating, bunk beds with quality linens, lots of cute adventure decor. It was spotless with every thing you could need! Also showers were clean, ice was cold, WiFi was great! We will be back!

This was our first time glamping (we usually tent camp) and we had a great time! Pretty setting, peaceful and quiet. The beds were very comfortable, bathrooms/showers were clean, and the community kitchen was a fun place to cook and hang out. During the warmer season, future glampers might consider bringing a second fan and an extension cord. The tent has an oscillating floor fan, but a second one allows you to aim one at each bed.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Cabin - Lake Hartwell

Overall, we had a great stay. The host was very communicative and helpful, and the cabin was comfortable with beautiful views and a very cozy bed. A few things caught us off guard. I had assumed the cabin was directly on Lake Hartwell, but it isn’t, and because the exact location isn’t shared beforehand, our drive ended up being nearly 5 hours instead of the 3–3½ we expected. That also made our kayaking plans difficult since we were too far from the rental companies we had planned to use. The host did try to help us find a solution, which we appreciated. My biggest suggestion would be improving the outdoor maintenance. Given the cleaning fee, I expected the deck to be free of spider webs and wasp nests. We removed a wasp nest ourselves so we could enjoy coffee on the balcony, and the outdoor cushions had been left out by a previous guest and were wet and dirty. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. I do think the price is a bit high for the overall experience, but with a little more attention to the outdoor areas, it would be an excellent getaway.

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

I can’t recommend Mr. Gary’s site enough! My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time, and he was a gracious host. This was our first time glamping (we normally camp primitive), and it felt like absolute luxury. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of seating, and the access to electricity was a huge plus. The sound of the bubbling brook beside the camp was so nice to fall asleep to. The location is great because it is peaceful and secluded, but it’s also 10 minutes away from the Main Street of Helen. It’s an ideal location if you want to enjoy the quiet and relax in nature while still having the option to easily participate in civilization. It rained intermittently during our stay, but it did not affect the fun we had one bit. We stayed cozy and clean, especially with access to a hot shower! We did have to fight the mosquitos a bit due to the humid, rainy weather, which would have been no issue if we hadn’t forgotten to pack bug spray. So just remember to pack your bug spray and you will be all right! And don’t sleep on the breakfast menu and other fun packages the host offers. Breakfast was incredible and definitely made with love. It really added to the experience and made our anniversary trip even more special. We can’t wait to come back again! Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

We loved staying at The Nest! You could tell Lisa puts her heart into every detail. We tried to take care of it as our own little cabin because you could literally feel the warmth and care coming from within is the best way to describe it. How beautiful to spend time in nature, with the Carolina birds chirping outside all day, and oh the homemade brownies and coffee filled with water waiting. Everything you’d expect in a high end hotel (even a toothbrush, not knowing I had forgotten mine 🥹). Continued blessings to the hosts!

Our stay with Gary was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcome and at home. Gary is truly one of the kindest, most genuine hosts we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while still giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our getaway. The campsite felt like our own private oasis. The peaceful setting was exactly what we needed to escape and relax. One of our favorite parts was listening to the creek nearby. The sound of the flowing water was so calming and made the whole experience feel even more special. Breakfast was amazing! I had the BLT quiche, and my husband had the camper-style skillet. Both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. It was the perfect way to start the day and easily one of the highlights of our stay. Even the outdoor shower exceeded our expectations. The water pressure was fantastic, especially for an outdoor shower, and the temperature was always perfect. It was such a refreshing experience and showed how much thought has gone into making guests comfortable. Every detail reflected the care Gary puts into hosting. 1 night at 3 Creeks Camp and Nature Preserve

We loved staying at the creek house. Such a comfortable cabin very cool style. Sitting in there with the curtains blowing the windows open the little fairy lights under the loft it was a level of relaxation i hadn’t experienced maybe never in my life before. If you’re looking to get away from It all, this is the place. I brought two of my kids with me nine and 12 years old I think it was equally enjoyable for them too. 3 nights at Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

This is a piece of paradise, with a stream running right by the campsite, all you can hear is the water running by you and setting you up for the ultimate relaxing experience. Gary (the host) has thought of everything you need and has an immediate response if you have any questions or need any help with anything. His two little dogs are great and super welcoming and friendly. The location is super convenient to Helen and surrounding areas and all they have to offer. I highly recommend a visit and stay here if you havent!

Weekend Trip to The Nest on Laurel Drive

The Nest was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway in the mountains for my birthday. My partner and I felt very comfortably and well met by the amenities that this small (but mighty cozy and well set up) space offered. The shower was amazing after a day of hiking. We also appreciated the brownies and the comfy mattresses. Highly recommend for a practical yet romantic getaway!

Weekend Trip to Herzen Platz (a place in the Heart)

This is a beautiful spot, even in the rain. We booked last minute as an anniversary getaway and a need to reconnect with nature. Gary is excellent, walking you through everything he has set up for you when you arrive. We loved the little trail that followed the stream, and the area near the tire swing. He also told us about a nature trail across the street. Breakfast is AMAZING and so worth it. I had the quiche and my husband had the skillet. It is so nice after spending a night in a tent to wake up knowing you don’t have to make breakfast!

Weekend Trip to Pap's Glamp &Cabin on Lake Hartwell

We loved our stay at Pap’s glamping! Our weekend was quite rainy but were completely dry and comfortable in the tent. We enjoyed the cooking setup, the lake access, and private walking trail. Highly recommend!
