We own a small farm on 64 total acres with around 59 wooded. We have 4 primitive camping sites with lots of woods, wildlife, and two small creeks. We are even located on a short dirt road to give you that country feel. All of our sites are spread out from one another and you will feel secluded in the woods with nature. On our farm are free range chickens, peacocks, goats and a donkey in a pasture, turkeys (wild and domesticated), honeybees (in the field), and a few outdoor cats. We enjoy our animals and nature. I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Weekend Trip to Surewood ForRest

Staying at the farm has been one of the best camping trips I’ve ever taken! Mrs Jo and Mr Sam were the absolute best hosts anyone could ask for! Had help unloading and bringing my gear to the site. They were also so nice to let me borrow a small heater for when it was going to get down to freezing. The weather was beautiful and the walks through the property were great. My dog and I thoroughly enjoyed being around the goats and the mule since we stayed at the goat site. Enjoyed waking up to the roosters and peacocks. Plenty of good deadfall for firewood and the sites are set up very well. I also brought home some soap and honey that were made at the farm. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend of relaxation and time in the woods. So many great things, but too many to list! You will definitely have to go experience it for yourself! I will definitely be returning!

Weekend Trip to 20 acres for Private RV Camping

A hidden gem only minutes away from FDR! As much as I love GA State Parks in general and FDR in particular - I won't camp in FDR as long as this wonderful place is available. Exactly as described: you have the entire campsite for yourself. Peaceful and quiet! At the same time, you don't feel lost in the wild: there are other houses (nearest is maybe 2-3 hundred yards away, you can't see it, but you know it is there) and you can still drive to Warm Springs for your morning coffee. FHU worked perfectly, the site is flat and easy to back in. You may want to bring a flashlight because it is dark at night. Also bring outdoor table and chairs is you wanna sit by the campfire.

Loved the tent camping provided including the appliances available to cook. Great sleeping space in the tent. Only recommendation is if the tent for the toilet is a little bigger. It was quite difficult to utilize due to the tight space. Other than that, I recommend if you need a quick and simple space to get away from the city.

There’s an unfinished portrait there—started on the day he died—which now hangs in hauntingly poetic tribute. Art history meets presidential legacy… all a short distance of your camp chair. We also detoured to Columbus, just a scenic half-hour drive away. Pro tip: take the River Walk, rent some bikes, and refuel at one of the town’s top-notch vegan restaurants. Because nothing pairs with historical exploration quite like plant-based deliciousness and a gentle breeze. We loved every sun-soaked minute—and left with full hearts, happy bellies, and exactly zero tan lines😎

The property was beautiful, spacious, and very quiet. My husband and I had a great time relaxing with our dogs away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Directions were clear, hooking up was easy, and the hosts were very nice. We would absolutely stay again.

Weekend Trip to Sweet Berry Orchard

We absolutely loved staying on this property! Beautiful view with secluded, woody area for the kids to explore. We chased fireflies long into the night and slept very peacefully. Tom met us as we came in and was very kind and helpful. We would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone

very welcoming and accommodating hosts. It was a peaceful stay. Their goats are very cute. The peacocks are beautiful. At the time of our visit there was plenty of firewood and if you are a mushroom hunter, plenty of what I believe to be chanterelles.

Weekend Trip to Stone Mountain Glamping Site

We rented Kim's campsite for my husband's 40th birthday celebration. The woods on her property are lovely and private. You feel isolated, even though her property backs up to neighbors. It's super tranquil. We did not spend the night, as we had toddlers and only live 30 minutes away. We did utilize the fire pit and the additional wood Kim gifted us was very appreciated. It had been raining for days (weeks) and the ground was muddy. Kim put down hay for us and it really turned out to be such a fun experience. The grill was basically brand new and there were so many additional amenities (plates, cups, grilling tools, a firestarter bundle). Even though we didnt sleep there, I could imagine a really fun night time experience. It is well lit and there are extra chairs and lanterns We loves exploring the woods and walking on the trails. A few weeks later and those bluerberries would be ripe and ready! Thanks for the wonderful time, Kim!

Weekend Trip to Glampsite 17 Acre Farm South of ATL

Super cute little place, I really wish I had been staying longer to enjoy the hangout area in the barn. It was decorated so nicely and the bed was quite comfortable. Only complaint is the camper did not have curtains on all the windows which let a good bit of the lights outside in at night.
