Michael and Kimberly Duke bought a small cabin on the Canoochee River to enjoy as a family.
They decided to list it on a vacation rental site.
As this property was in full demand, another property became available to buy.
As interest began to increase, the family decided open up the options for their visitors.
At this current date, they have four cabins and a yurt, as well as, tent sites. We are excited about the yurt that was completed in August 2019. They are looking forward having another cabin in the near future.

About the Property
Welcome to **Laurel & Lore**, a peaceful nature retreat tucked away on 1.6 acres beneath mature oaks in Georgia's Lowcountry. Whether you're here to unwind, reconnect with nature, work remotely, or explore the surrounding area, you'll find a quiet place to slow down and settle in.
Your accommodations are located toward the back of the property, creating a sense of privacy while still offering convenient access to everything the region has to offer. Mornings are often filled with the songs of Eastern Bluebirds, cardinals, robins, woodpeckers, and other native wildlife, while evenings invite you to gather around a fire, watch the stars emerge, or simply enjoy the peaceful sounds of the countryside.
We live in the main house near the front of the property and are available if you need anything during your stay. Our family, including our two children and friendly outdoor cat, may occasionally be seen near the front of the property. Depending on availability, you may also see other guests enjoying different areas of Laurel & Lore.
Our location offers the best of both worlds—peaceful country surroundings with easy access to historic towns, nature preserves, and the vibrant city of Savannah. Camp management is outstanding! Truly cares about each guest and customer service is best I’ve seen in decades. Been there twice, love the area, both camper and cabin were exquisite in comfort and inspiring relaxation. Stress just melts away within minutes of arriving. I’m sorry I don’t remember their names, I’m terrible with names, but the whole family is quite lovely! A million thanks for the healing rest and family time!
