Our 501(c)(3) Non-Profit campsite has soft opening under way! This means we don't have many frills, but we are by far the closest RV site to central Atlanta, and the only one on MARTA public transit (right outside the gate). We are a rare gem in this city. One of the last areas that have been allowed to return to nature after being farmed until the 1960s. We are surrounded by 100s of acres of parkland, and yet are only 5 minutes drive from almost everything you will need. You will see the hand cut terraces put in by the farm workers and then the forest has spent the last 50 years taking it back. Still lots of old growth trees around though. The county just purchased/swapped 50 more acres to go with the hundreds more under it's watch. There is a 14 mile concrete trail that runs behind the property and all the way out along the south river. Quite the hike or bike if you fancy a good walk. There is a 18 hole golf course, sports fields, public pool and YMCA type community center all along the trail and walking distance from the campsite. We are a 501c3 non-profit church that is still in the early days of it's mission. Your donation to our site helps fund our mission and keeps the lights on. We are massively focussed on permaculture as the only sustainable way of life and rapidly moving towards being totally carbon neutral. You will be up close on our early days and see our Solar Roof Cabin (a total of 300 panels and 70kW output when completed). We make a lot of our infrastructure from windfallen and site development trees that are cut and shaped on our own electric sawmill. Bill & Laura's hospitality was amazing! They made every effort to help us find a great spot right on the lake! Moved and leveled the picnic table while we enjoyed conversation. Communication details were very detail and a great help. The views were beautiful and serene, we even had access to a gazebo next to our camp. We slept in our tent and felt very safe. We caught two nice size catfish just before leaving which was great! I can't say enough about this private camp site, except we will be back again soon.

The swing pictured in the listing was broken when we arrived which was a disappointment for our kiddos but we will definitely be back for more camping trips and maybe it’ll be fixed then! The creek was a wonderful spot to have coffee with the large rocks for sitting!

I had a wonderful stay on JoLane and Sam's place. JoLane offered prompt replies and all information needed for arrival. Sam (a veteran) met me and guided me to Site 4. We had a nice chat about local going-ons... all the more making me feel at home. The site was just right for my Colorado and 16ft camper. That being said, this site would be perfect for single or multiple tent camping! I enjoyed the peaceful feeling of being in remote, deep woods... without really being far away from conveniences or access to major roads. Do yourself a favor a spend a night or two here!

Beautiful property located in the heart of suburban Atlanta. To be honest, wasn't what I thought thinking this Aaron's land was further out of town? However, to Aaron's credit, he has chosen NOT to develop his gorgeous property and keep it pristine and instead turn it into an RV haven. Coming in from the highway with a large rig, it was a little nerve wracking coming in through town and into his property, but if I can fit ANYONE can fit. Lots of separation from others. Wonderful space.

The site was big, pleasantly tucked away, and I could hear the stream from my hammock. Loved smelling the pine needles as I got out of my car. I did hear some distant coyotes and highway noise, but the white noise of the water blocked most of it. Felt very safe and unbothered despite knowing some other properties were nearby. Will definitely be back!

My husband & I spent 3 nights at Risin’ RV. This is a cozy, urban camping experience. Location is great because you feel as though you’re in the country, however you are minutes from downtown East Atlanta. The community here is at a soft open. There is some construction going on, however it really didn’t interfere with our stay at all. You need to be self-contained to stay here because there are no bathrooms or showers. However, there are full hookups for RVs/trailer camping. The camp has a cat & chickens wandering around & that was really fun. Communication with the camp hosts was easy. The camp is secure & safe. There are 2 security gates & we were given a code for the keypad so we could come & go as we pleased. There was a little bit of road noise, however not significant. We had a quite, peaceful stay at Risin’ RV.

Loved the location, we could ride our bikes all the way to the Atlanta Beltline bike trail. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The door to the street was very convenient, also. I loved the chickens and rooster visiting us, especially running to our RV when cooking and the smoke detector went off. Too funny.
