Hut or Tent, your choice. We just added the tent platform and it is your choice as to tent platform or Hut. They are about a football field away from each other. Get away from it all on a secluded mature wooded hill twenty minutes from the Ococee River. You can feel how old the Appalachian mountains are here. Remote enough and private but no 4WD needed (flat terrain to parking) and enough neighbors if needed (road running through property leads to subdivision by Apalachia Lake so has traffic on it.) To the right of the road is a creek and bog, to the left we have several acres of woods to explore and relax in. You will see an occasional car on the private road that runs below the Hut but on the hill, you will have complete privacy. Please note we have not yet added a firepit or compost toilet to the tent platform so you will be needing to go to the Hut for both of those. You can get to the Hut from the Platform along the road or through the woods. It is a beautiful place to chill and hang out that we are happy to share with you. Three of ten acres to the right of the road that runs through our property are a bog that runs along a creek with the creek joining wild remote Apalachia Lake. (Pretty much unpassable Nature saying keep out.) But enjoy hiking and exploring our seven gently sloping mature wood hills. There are also lots of well maintained dirt hillside roads for exploring or biking. Enjoy our Baba Yaga hut with only the bare necessities but you will be flat, dry and able to enjoy the woods all to yourself. Or the Tent Platform pretty much complete privacy. When one is rented, we take the other off the calendar so you get the entire place to yourself. Come explore and then chill away from it all.

Roam the property, swim in the spring fed pond, play badminton or horseshoes, or just lounge on the deck. My vision is that my property (which I've named "Kingdom Come") would be a place of rest, retreat, and enjoyment for others. I am going to build a few cabins for lodging, but my first major project was building a chapel, so that it would be the centerpiece and heartbeat: a place for reflection, meditation, and prayer. I built the chapel myself (with my own hands, and the hands of a couple of friends). As I work on building the cabins, I have decided to use the chapel as a glamping site (better than using it as a "divine" storage building!).My mother was an artist and when she died I ended up with a lot of her artwork. Some of her paintings now fill the chapel. They also fill the space, I hope, with her grace and love and creativity. The chapel features beautiful timber frame construction. As to "glamping" . . . there is no running water/plumbing, but you'll have all the fresh water you need for showers, drinking, etc. Limited electricity for running the kitchen appliances.No AC, of course, but the fan will keep it comfortable in warm weather. As to cold weather, the chapel has an electric heater that keeps it fairly comfortable in cold weather: not blazing hot, but comfortable, unless it gets VERY cold; then, the heater just takes off some of the chill.  Four (4) beds with Zinus Ultima Comfort Memory Foam 6 Inch mattresses are very comfortable!  Using the outdoor solar/camp shower is wonderful. The privy is clean and well-ventilated.Appliances: fan; toaster oven; microwave oven; coffee maker; and, small micro-fridge. Lighting is provided by four rechargeable lanterns. Screens on the windows and door to keep the bugs at bay. Outdoor deck features comfortable Adirondack chairs, a Weber charcoal grill, and a fire pit for campfires. There is firewood available for you on a donation basis. Matches and paper provided, too, to help get the fire started. The play area offers opportunities limited only by your imagination. Sunbathing? Stargazing? Badminton and Bocce balls provided if you want to play! WOOD-FIRED SAUNA We also offer an experiential upgrade to your stay if you want to bask in a traditional Finnish wood-fired sauna complete with plunges into our cool pond between rounds. Please contact us and we will send you more details on the sauna rates. If you desire to book the sauna during your stay , we will light the fire and have it toasty hot for your sweat. We will gladly walk you through a traditional Finnish ritual and what to expect. There are so many things to love about Candy Mountain Goat Farm. The Upper RV pad was lovely, private space complete with water and electric. Scott is a friendly, helpful host who took time to welcome us, help us set up camp and introduce us to the friendly goats, chickens and the 2 very friendly pups who also call this little farm their home. It rained on us most of the visit but we still had a fun time shopping goat soaps and lotions in the farm store, walking the trails on the property, cooking up the fresh eggs Scott gathered for us just this morning, watched a movie on the shared Plex server, caught up on blog posts with the free WiFi, and gazing at the beautiful trees all around us.

We loved camping on Scott’s goat farm! The camping spot was set up with a campfire spot and picnic table, and there was a working toilet on site for us as well. The goat walk and the cows across the field were the best parts! The goats were really cool, and we got to brush them and learn about goat life. Would definitely camp here again!

Scott and Nancy are quite hospitable. They eagerly share space and offer experiences with their goats and chickens, all of which seem well tended. The farm dogs, Lily and Clay, are friendly and yet not intrusive. Fire pits and yard games were available. Our site was level and perfect for our Class B. We did daily driving excursions off property and the return setup every night was just drive up and plug in - perfect! There were some tent campers on sites below us, and all campers seemed content. The small, full restroom attached to the owner's home was sufficient, and, conditions permitting, a couple of options are offered. Please remember: accommodations are shared and everyone's experience is improved when everyone does a quick tidy-up after each use. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

We had a blast at Jamie's place. They were very kind and accommodating. We have a 37ft trailer and had no issues pulling in and getting out! There was a fire pit to use and a hammock. we cooked a meal on the fire one night and made s'mores. We were able to see deer while we sat by the fire. We walked our dogs along their land multiple times a day and had no issues, very private and beautiful, our dogs really enjoyed the creek as well! We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this site! Thanks for a great stay! 10/10

What a value!!!!!!! 😍🤑 Dirk our host was very accommodating. We felt very safe and secure on site. We really appreciated all the communal amenities like the grill, hot tub, fire pit. Being able to bring pets with no additional al charge, also a big plus. Each teepee rental receives their OWN bathroom (away from the teepee) and each teepee has a mini fridge and air conditioning!! Dirk mentioned they might switch them out for heaters in the cold months. Also not mentioned in the listing, there is a stocked pond on site with small mouth and crappie. Special tip, the chilhowee recreation area can be reached in LESS than 20 min via Benton Springs road, which is a mildly adventurous, low speed gravel switchback mountain road. Any vehicle should be fine in dry conditions with minimal clearance. Excited to come back with friends and family!
