Ghost hunters~ many boarders have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops.
We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars
Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 amp electrical hook up, hot/cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with toilet.
We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

Mushroom hunters PARADISE with golden Chanterelles, Lions Mane and Oyster mushrooms are abundant! Feel free to harvest whatever the land provides as a perk for your stay!
Ghost hunters~ many boarders have seen a floating lady in a long white dress.. we call her the "white witch". Often when traversing the trails at night we have found areas with severe temperature drops.
We are far enough away from town to have spectacular viewing of stars
Experience the life on an Arabian show horse facility for a few days! We have 20 amp electrical hook up, hot/cold water in the horses wash racks. a public restroom with toilet.
We have a charcoal grill, and a fire pit. Feel free to gather wood from anywhere on the property for the fire pit. Bring charcoal lighter to get the fire going unless you are a primitive survivalist.
WE ALSO HAVE A PLAYGROUND FOR SMALL CHILDREN!
We do NOT have a public shower but the Love's and the QT station are both 3 miles away and they have several super nice showers available at their truck stop!
The barn lounge has a fridge and microwave, ceiling fan for relaxing and watching the lessons and horse training! Sign up for a few lessons for a fee while you are here! (when an instructor has an opening, must book in advance) Bring your own horses and ride the trails!
**Warning** there are a few weeks mid Summer when the deer flies are swarming and the trails are not good for riding horses!
WE DO NOT HAVE 30amp electrical hook ups but many large RV's turn off hot water heaters and use propane on their fridges and the 20 amp circuit was plenty to power the rest of their RV or use generators!

Paulk Park is a beautiful site, there's a beautiful lake out there and there's picnic areas on the other side of the lake there's also a bath house and I think the laundry facility I rented it this time for my son so he's the one who actually stayed but I have stayed there several times and it's a beautiful place when the sun sets there is just so beautiful

Paulk Park is an RV park and campground situated next to a lake and sandwiched between a small municipal airport (with very little air traffic) and a city park. The tent sites aren't really sites, but more of a large field with no discernable separation between each site. The host's pre-trip messages are very detailed and easy to follow. They basically say to find a spot between the road and the lake and claim it, so I opted to stay farthest away from the shower house and my neighbor. When we arrived, there was one other tent camper and no RV's. The wind came in very strong and my distant neighbor packed up and left. On this warm February evening, I had the entire park to myself.
There are not many trees around and the terrain is quite flat so if the wind picks up, it can be very strong. I made sure to stake the tent well so this was not a problem. There were some people in the park on the other side of the lake and a reception was taking place in the event center which is in the same building as the showers and laundry, but once the party across the lake broke up, there wasn't much noise. That is, with the exception of the trains. I'm not sure if it is normal or there was something special going on with the train yard a short distance away, but the trains were blowing their horns every 10 minutes or less throughout the entire night and they are definitely loud enough to keep even a moderate sleeper awake. Great place but bring some earplugs.

This is our first ever doing a Hipcamp! We have done Airbnb before. My friend suggested we should try one. For first time experience, we really enjoyed our stay at Lazy Acres! Oh my, Dover is awesome host! We felt very welcome by him. He checked in with us few times during our stay and asked if we needed anything. Lazy Acres is a beautiful spot and peaceful to camp! Almost home! There were 2 full hookups spots and 2 tent camping spots. Which we had our Rv in one of the full hookup spot. Really if you want a nice relaxing and quiet camp, this is one most peaceful camps! You can even do some star glazing out there. Beautiful sunrise above the wooded area. There is a building with nice warm bathroom and shower. Very warm shower, and very roomy too. This nice place for our dogs to spread their legs and played. There are cows in field, behind the camp. Yes, we like to returned again! Thanks to Dover for a wonderful experience!

Lazy Acres is amazing! We needed a quick stop on our way south and this place delivered! Booked same day and the location was easy to find. It was about a 30 minute drive from I-75 for us and there is a Walmart 4 minutes away from the campsite. The toilet/shower shed was warm, water pressure and temp were great and everything was very clean. Our daughter really enjoyed the playset, which was sturdy and well-maintained. Dover stopped by to say hello and check in with us - an excellent host.

It is quiet and was the perfect spot to be near family during the holiday. This is a simple, no bells and whistle campground. Spots were level and roomy. We did not know to request a fire pit but we were able to use one anyways- you can also bring your own. My boys loved the pond, and watching the small aircraft take off. We look forward to utilizing it more when we come down to visit family. My only suggestion would be hooks or a spare bench in bathhouse for belongings when showering etc.

Only complaint is the idiot campers that have enough lights on outside to light up a half the campground all night long. Like trying to sleep under a street light. This is really a wonderful spot! If you need a place to unwind, relax and heal this is the perfect spot for it! I spent 5 nights here by myself car camping in tent spot 1 and it really did wonders for my well being!
