Weekend Trip to Deer Valley RV Park

This was the perfect spot to stay while my daughter had a softball tournament in Dalton, GA. Everything was new and immaculate. Even though it’s surrounded by other houses and businesses it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. It felt like we were the only people around. It’s also very close to a Food Lion for groceries. I’m so glad that we found this place and I will be recommending it to everyone I know who camps and heads to the area for softball.

2 nights at Creekside Bliss

You really can’t beat the price! We loved listening to the peaceful, babbling creek. Firewood was provided, though it was a bit wet from the rain that day — luckily we brought some fire starters and still enjoyed cooking delicious meals over the campfire 🔥. The toilet was clean, which we appreciated. My only suggestions: it would be great if the grass leading to the bathroom were mowed so you don’t have to walk through tall, wet grass, and there’s a large hole between campsite #4 and the restroom that we almost fell into — we marked it with a tall stick to help others see it. The creek is a little steep to access from site #4, but still manageable. The only real downside was that the neighbors were extremely loud and playing music until about 1 a.m., which made it hard to sleep. Overall, though, an excellent value and we’d definitely book again!

🌿 5 Stars for the Owl’s Nest in Clarkesville, GA! 🌿 We just returned from an unforgettable 4-day stay at the Owl’s Nest, and we can’t say enough good things about this little slice of paradise. Tucked away in the beautiful Blue Mountains of North Georgia, the property is peaceful, private, and absolutely gorgeous — the perfect spot to unplug and unwind. 🌲 Our host William was fantastic — incredibly accommodating, hospitable, and friendly. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The site is well-marked and easy to find: just follow the Hipcamp signs — the parking lot is on the right , and the clubhouse is on the left. When you see those landmarks, YEP — you made it! 🙌 We spent our days hiking to waterfalls (Hemlock Falls, Anna Ruby Falls, Unicoi and Moccasin Creek State Parks), watching ducks and hawks, and soaking in the peace of the woods. 🦆🍃 We already can’t wait to come back in the fall to see the colors of the leaves and camp at the Owl’s Nest again. My two sons, ages 12 and 6, and I stayed in the tiny house and had a great time. The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly. We liked that there were some kid friendly restaurants and a Publix within walking distance! The tiny house was clean and had everything we needed. Our host Jaya was responsive to my emails. I would stay here again.

2 nights at NW GA Farm Stay

Absolutely fantastic place to stay. Our host met us shortly after we arrived and gave us the skinny on everything. The site was in pristine shape, well defined, flat and graveled. The water and 50 amp service worked perfectly. This is a working farm and has goats, sheep, and donkeys along with a very friendly and well-fed dog named Gordo. It was a nice open area surrounded by trees. The evenings were quiet with fireflies near the tree line. There is a very nice fire ring, although we used our free standing propane fire pit at night. Everything about our stay was perfect. If you are going to be near the area, I would strongly encourage you to book a stay here.

Weekend Trip to White Dog Farm camping

This was my second time on this land, and I’ll definitely continue to come back due to its beautiful and peaceful backdrop. The area behind the horse ring will give you the most privacy. Anna is so accommodating and kind. She gives you all the space and privacy you need and checks in about once a day to make sure everything is okay. Her bundles of wood will last you about a couple days as long as you don’t go crazy with a fire. The potable water spigot within walking distance from every site is a huge plus. Overall, I love this place and will continue to come back.

Weekend Trip to Owls nest private camp

The lake is beautiful. The host is welcoming and supportive, and also around just enough to make you feel welcome. The "Owls Nest" has some interesting history which we still have to explore. My wife and I stayed overnight with our pets and two adult children. Use of the bathrooms and shelter were re-assuring. With pop up summer storms, we had a place to get to for cover. We used the kitchen for after meal clean up. Thanks!

The best natural feature is the rock outcropping that runs through the property; you will feel like you have discovered something timeless.
