This place is a hidden gem. Andrew has thought of everything to make this place comfortable. I stayed in Tent site C, the red barn, and used it mostly as my charging station and lounge area. I pitched my tent right next to it. The grounds are well lit, shower was hot and toilet clean. It was perfect for my stay with my dog. I recommend downloading the app Merlin Bird ID to name the morning choir of birds in the area. It was a peaceful stay. We will definitely be back.

This was our first Hipcamp stay and it was wonderful! We were the only ones there and Elizabeth was very warm and welcoming. We got to watch her milk the cows and she introduced us to all of her farm animals. There was lots to explore and my kids had a blast. Site was easy to get in and out of and we would definitely stay again. We got to visit Elizabeth’s farm store and I can’t wait to try some of the goodies we purchased. I appreciated how knowledgeable Elizabeth is and how much information she was willing to share. I took home some tips to help with hatching chicken eggs and I even told my husband that I want to be like her one day!

We had a wonderful time! Mr. Bill offered us several spots to pitch our tent and we chose right next to the creek so we could hear the water through the night. And it was fabulous. We heard Chuck-Wills-Widows singing along with the creek cooing while we relaxed by the fire. It was a short walk to the bathroom but it was worth it. Mr. Bill was friendly but respectful of our time and space. He offered us a tour and coffee and we were happy to hang out and learn from him. His property is eclectic but for conservationists like us it is a delight! We will visit again for sure. I would recommend bringing extra lights to hang on the trees, we had a few and it was super helpful finding our way in the dark.

Cool little farm with all kinds of animals. If you aren't aware farm birds (guinea fowl, chickens and geese) do make noise so don't be surprised by that.
The campsite was nice and fairly secluded in a small stand of trees. The animals were all very friendly especially the livestock guardian dogs who roamed the property all day and night.
I definitely recommend sampling their dairy goods. The yogurt was so delicious. I should have bought more bc me and my daughter kept fighting for the "next bite". I didn't try the other dairy products but they had to be just as good.
The only suggestion would be a pair of ear plugs if you're tent camping as the interstate is very close by and traffic noise can be heard all night. I doubt rv campers would be bothered. Regardless I highly recommend this campground.

Bill, the host and owner of the property, embodies good vibes and hospitality. Made us feel right at home and exchanged wonderful stories about life and the world. There’s so much character, intrigue, and nature to enjoy at the site, which includes a swimming creek, quality restroom facilities, school buses, a nice kitchen, gathering area, and a few rustic structure great for sleeping. Our one night tent camping in wildcat is an experience I’ll always treasure and i hope to be back soon.

This place was amazing very very fun. Everyone was so sweet. My daughter and I came for the first time without my husband and we were able to ask any questions that we needed. The shower was easy to work. The water was warm!!!. The heater really helped in the night when it got down to 48.!!!the atmosphere was amazing and we will definitely be back.

I wanted a peaceful outdoor getaway for new years and this place was just the spot. If you’re an animal lover and love the aspects of a working farm then this is the place. We were greeted with farm dogs, chickens, ducks, goats, peacocks you name it Liz probably had it!
She was a lovely host and met us and showed us to our site. We got fresh eggs, homemade jams, and our favorite the Muscadine Wine she makes in house. You could buy all your food needs at the store if you wanted.
I definitely want to come back just from that aspect.
We got to watch them milk the cows and pet a baby cow.
It was truly just an amazing time. The farm dogs would come hang out with us and just be a great presence.
The early morning time was immaculate hearing the farm come alive and seeing all the animals start their routine.
We will definitely be returning to the farm as it now holds a special place in our hearts.
You won’t regret this stay!

The full kitchen made it perfect for a first camping trip for my littles. Just a note though, it's located next to a hunting area so the cabins had a small group of men who would go hunting during the day. All quite nice, no issues there, they did a field dressing (I think it's called that-they began preparing the meat) in the evenings after their hunting trip, for us, we used it as an education experience on where meat comes from. I can, however, understand how someone might have wanted to know that was a possibility before booking. So just an FYI on that. All in all a great experience though.
