We opened to the public on Labor Day 2014. Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). Note that GPS can be very mean in our rural area; make sure your turn off Highway 50 is onto paved High Corner Road, which is 2 miles west of I-75 (if GPS tries to turn you down unpaved, dead-end roads, DO NOT LISTEN..you will get stuck!).

We thoroughly enjoyed ringing in the New Year at Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym & John were wonderful hosts. They have a lil slice of paradise to share and it is oh so peaceful. They have 7 full hook ups for RV and a cute lil cottage on-site available for rent as well. We will definitely return in the very near future! Thank you both for sharing your ranch via Hipcamp!

Exactly what we were looking for peaceful, surrounded by nature.
The river has crystal-clear water, perfect for kayaking, there are great trails, and plenty of wildlife, including turtles and armadillos. An amazing experience!

Such a tranquil and well kept site. The team that meet you on arrival are super friendly. The sites are easy to navigate. The best part for us with kids, was the fire pit on the river, which they load with wood daily plus the social house, when the weather turns bad or the bugs come out we could go in and play pool, darts, games or watch football. Cannot say enough good things about this place!!

We can’t wait to go back to Spotted Dance Ranch! Kym approved us quickly and was very communicative regarding directions, offered info on nearest grocery, restaurants and more. (It was easy to get in and out thanks to following host directions vs gps.) John was super helpful and answered all of our questions upon arrival as well. Leveling and set up was a breeze. Everything was well maintained and cared for. Our dogs enjoyed stretching their legs on the property after our dog show. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere after a hectic day too. 1000% would stay again, but next time we hope to stay longer so we have time to meet the horses. Don’t hesitate if you are considering booking here. It’s a great place to stay! John & Kym are wonderful hosts with a lovely ranch.

Very private and secluded campground on the river. The campground is very clean,surrounded by a river, forest and large mature oak trees. It's a very beautiful,quiet and peaceful. The staff are all very helpful and extremely friendly. The facilities are clean, well maintained. It's right on the river,so you can go kayaking or fishing. They have a nice little general store and a nice clubhouse accessible 24 hours for coffee, games, tv,books etc.... I will definitely be coming back here. I was in spot 22,which is right near the forest. We saw all types of wildlife like deer, turkey,cranes, a few cats and armadillo. I would highly recommend this campground to anyone.

The location was awesome, we spent a day at Bok Tower, and afternoon naps on the hammocks overlooking the lake. Oh, and enjoyed both sunrises and sunsets over the beautiful lake. Our site was tight, but not a problem for us. Bath house was very nice.

Our 2nd visit, and, again, it was fabulous. John and Kym are great hosts... John met us and helped to park and set up. We were on the end closest to the road, and the view is magnificent (very rural with maybe 5-6 cars a day). The layout was well thought out with hookups and paddocks, with large water buckets... and CLEAN, very well maintained. 10 minutes to Winn-Dixie, restaurants, gas. 15-20 minutes to Brooksville with everything you might need. We love it there!

Very cute campground. The owner was beyond accommodating, answering calls after hours to help us with a late arrival. If you love nature and beautiful views, use a kayak or a canoe for free and explore the river. Lots of birds and turtles. Magnificent sunset over the water.
