Great location, spotless facilities, wonderful pools (especially enjoyed the hot tub on the cold evenings) and freedom to wear as much or as little as desired. All communications including check-in were straightforward and easy to follow. We’ll definitely be back to The Woods this summer!

Very unique and cozy place! They have everything you need! Laundry, kayaks, a grill, mini fridge , dishes and cooking utensils and pans , and right on the water! Dog friendly and hosts are easy to contact and very accommodating! We will be back to manatee landing retreat! We loved it!

We booked the RV spot at Manatee Landing Retreat for Mother’s Day weekend, and even though the weather was mostly rainy and cloudy, it didn’t rain on our parade! In fact, having the place mostly to ourselves made it feel like our own private oasis.
The tiki hut was a total game-changer—giving us shelter when the rain did come through, and a cozy place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. When the sun peeked out, we made the most of it with kayaking, bouncing on the trampoline, and exploring the beautiful area with our dogs, who absolutely loved it.
Even with the clouds, the peaceful vibe and thoughtful amenities made it a weekend to remember. We can’t wait to come back—hopefully with a little more sunshine next time

This is a charming spot complete with all the amenities to enjoy the river. Having use of the kayaks, fire pit and bbq made it feel like home and interacting with the other guests made it even better. Would stay here again.
If your vehicle is wide or you are not super confident backing up this space may be intimidating and it is difficult to use the dump so we chose not to at this spot. If you have a van or smaller camper there should be no problem.

What a gem! This place is a water, nature and plant lovers paradise! Launching your kayak (or there a LOTS to borrow) from the property takes it to an entire new level. The fire pit, tiki hut and grounds are great! Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Weeki Watchee! PS - I saw manatee, dolphins, turtles, every bird imaginable when I was there in early April. The trick to be out of the crowds is go up ABOVE Rogers park toward Mud River. I’ve done all of Weeki many times and this was by far my favorite!

Super bougie spot to Hipcamp! Not sure they understand the nature of Hipcamp yet - very new. We were the only pop up travel trailer. This is more of a RV park. Amenities are amazing. Guests very welcoming. No communication with host via Hipcamp once booked - did not know which site was ours, the gate code, etc. Happened to run into a guest who once worked the office and she helped us.

We booked this site on HipCamp and were very pleasantly surprised. The check in wasn't exactly smooth as after we booked (office had closed) we weren't given a code to get through the gate. We had to wait there and finally got someone on the video at the gate and he came and opened it (very doubtingly....we should have gotten a code...we explained we didn't get a code but had our receipt!) Anyway, after that little fiasco they pulled us into a beautiful site and the park is truly beautiful and pristine! The laundry facilities are immaculate and so are the sites. We only stayed one night but would sure come back!
