Weekend Trip to Cozy Freedom at Earthperks Farm

What a treasure to find! The #2 tent spot is secluded enough for complete privacy, but close enough to the main house that I felt safe, camping alone as a woman. All the ammenities are there, water and standard 120v electric at the site, picnic table, fire pit and well-maintained grounds. It's approx. a 25 min drive to the Speedway and downtown. This is now where I will stay every tine I visit Daytona. I attended Jeep week. When I arrived, I knew my initial accomodations weren't going to work for me, I needed a quiet spot to wind down at night. I reached out and Mindy responded right away, answered all of my questions and I was booked within 20 mins. She even sent me a detailed map and instructions on how to find my spot, the showers and the kitchen. As an Airbnb host of several units myself, my expectations can be high. This is a hidden gem so near to downtown.

Great open land with nice clusters of trees for cooling shade. Owner does an excellent job in providing a bin of some essentials along with a very detailed and organized binder that explains everything you need to know to ensure the best experience possible. All the rules are clear so there’s little left but to relax and enjoy the property. They provide all kinds of add ons including access to a very nice gym. Restrooms and showers were some of the nicest hip camp amenities Ive seen, all cooled by brand new air-conditioners. Cold and hot filtered bottle water is provided to refill your camp supply. We saw several gopher turtles and the bird watching was incredible with 11 different varieties in one evening. We would definitely go back and visit again.

Sara greeted me in person and was a uniquely kind host - the property is gorgeous and great for birdwatching, privacy and regenerative time away from hustle and bustle. It is situated in a uniquely gorgeous area of Florida.

OMG! Brandon was such a great host! He was there at the gate when we arrived and went above and beyond the call of duty helping us get settled in and showing us around the property he’s in the process of developing. But the most amazing thing is that the back of his property is right on one of the coolest tree covered bike trails ever for E-bikes!

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

What a gem of a place. All the farm animals wandering around, with as much right to be there as any human. A chance to hang out, get to know them, pet them, feed them even, and nourish cross species relationships. :-) my partner and children and I loved this place. I would love to return again.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

It was AMAZING!! We stayed in the Wagon #2 it was clean had very nice bathrooms, comfortable bed everything you could ask for. Loved feeding the animals and got to help brush the horses. Elaine was an amazing host and workers were more then helpful with questions and telling you about the animals and how some got lucky to make it to Elaine’s farm. Would definitely do it again!

Weekend Trip to Monarch Manor Farm

Monarch Manor Farm is really a gorgeous place to camp. Site 1 and also other sites are more than spacious and the view is beautiful. Host Ricki is very nice: provided clear instructions, showed us around, let us use his boat on the pond, and even shared his delicious food with us. The site is equipped with everything we need including picnic table, trash bin (at every site), hot shower, toilet, electricity, and even wifi (video streaming with no issue). My wife and I really enjoy spending our time roaming around. Also, Monarch Manor Farm is very close to many great places worth visiting. Would definitely recommend to every camper with different camping rigs! P.S. the free range eggs are so fresh and tastes great :-)

Patricia and John are our favorite Hipcamp hosts, attentive and friendly and immaculate with their adorable cottage in an off-the-beaten-path area that we love. This was our second visit and we definitely hope to be back.

We had an amazing stay at this campsite! The pond was such a highlight – it was well-stocked, and my kids had an absolute blast catching fish all day long. They couldn’t get enough of it, and it made for such a memorable experience for our family. The camp host was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. He always available to answer any questions and was super friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable. My wife loved how peaceful it was after the sun went down. The sounds of nature – the occasional hooting of an owl, the lowing of the cows and the frogs in the pond – made for the perfect soundtrack to our evening. Overall, this campsite is perfect for families looking for a fun and peaceful getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Rooterville is a nonprofit sanctuary, home to approx 100 rescued farm animals of all types, THEY make it an amazing place to visit! When you stay with us, you are welcome to explore the sanctuary and interact with the animals. The only place off limits is our cow pasture. But you can book a cow cuddle if you'd like to go in and interact with the cows, especially the Highland cow. It is a wonderful experience for the cow lovers. Come on out to the country for the experience of a lifetime interacting with sweet farm animals in luxury accommodations or bring your own RV or a tent and "rough" it in your choice of spots on our beautiful 20 acre property surrounded by lots of amazing wild creatures of all sorts and our friendly animal ambassadors. We have butterfly gardens, one with a bee hive, and we're surrounded by natural woodlands in a convenient yet private and peaceful setting. Maybe you'll spot a bald eagle getting a meal from our ponds! There's so much to see and enjoy right here at the sanctuary, we have over 100 rescued animals who can't wait to meet you and maybe bum a snack from you too. You are welcome to bring snacks to feed the animals or buy some from our gift shop. If you get bored, there is plenty to do nearby: Goldhead Park, a paved Bike Trail, Jacksonville, St Augustine, High Springs, Ocala and Gainesville are all within an hour's drive. Melrose is quaint and rural. We don't rush here. Except at feeding time! You'll get to experience that too if you get out early enough. (9AM) We can't wait to meet you! Our camping sites are nestled within a pristine pine flatwoods ecosystem, where towering pines create a canopy overhead, dappling the forest floor with patches of sunlight. Each campsite is thoughtfully spaced to offer privacy and tranquility, allowing you to unwind and reconnect with nature. Awake to the melodic trill of songbirds greeting the dawn, and start your day with a leisurely hike in Tiger Bay State Forest nature trails directly connected behind the farm. We do have some nights that drop into the 30's, but most days are perfect to be outside. Summers are hot and wet and mosquitos will drive you inside from mid-June through to the end of August. Enjoy staying put on the farm or safely leaving your belongings while visiting the sights in the area. Someone is always nearby onsite, but privacy is respected. Property is situated on a thoroughfare between Ocala and Ormond Beach with audible traffic during the day, so not ideal for individuals seeking absolute silence.
