OMG! Brandon was such a great host! He was there at the gate when we arrived and went above and beyond the call of duty helping us get settled in and showing us around the property he’s in the process of developing. But the most amazing thing is that the back of his property is right on one of the coolest tree covered bike trails ever for E-bikes!

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

What an amazing stay. The wagon was beautiful and clean. We had everything that we needed and the beds were very comfy. We loved sitting by the fire pit and enjoying the nature around us. I really loved feeding the animals and having them roam around freely around you was a treat ! Elaine was a lovely host and very attentive. I would definitely go back! Thank you Elaine for a wonderful weekend.

Very cute, cozy cottage -- rustic lakefront accommodations. Tiny house dimensions: 8-ft wide x 16-ft long "bunkhouse", sleeping loft with twin bed is nearly 4-ft deep and 8-ft wide accessible by step-ladder and a cot-width chaise lounge below; the porch decking is 8-ft wide by 6-ft deep with a generous sloping roof.

1 night at Lakefront Sweet Spot, N Central FL

Judith was very kind and accommodating. The bunk house was set up very nicely. The view was great we even got to see a Sandhill crane family with a chick! All in all had a great stay.

This place was exactly what I needed! First time solo camping and felt completely safe and comfortable. This was such a great place to unwind and relax! I camped lakefront on this beautiful lake, which offered peaceful kayaking and wildlife. The camping area was clean, well maintained, and exactly as advertised. I plan to return again soon! No complaints at all!

What a gem of a place. All the farm animals wandering around, with as much right to be there as any human. A chance to hang out, get to know them, pet them, feed them even, and nourish cross species relationships. :-) my partner and children and I loved this place. I would love to return again.

Weekend Trip to THE Farmstay for Animal Lovers!

It was AMAZING!! We stayed in the Wagon #2 it was clean had very nice bathrooms, comfortable bed everything you could ask for. Loved feeding the animals and got to help brush the horses. Elaine was an amazing host and workers were more then helpful with questions and telling you about the animals and how some got lucky to make it to Elaine’s farm. Would definitely do it again!

What a cool place this is to camp. Riverside canoe/kayak access, multiple fire pits, swings, and all sorts of fun stuff to play with. Easy to find, very hospitable hosts. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely stunning property with private access to the St. Mary River. 50 amp hookup was great, outhouse was well kept and there were plenty of activities to do on-site.

2 nights at THE HIDEOUT

My friends and I had a great time camping here in mid March! The grounds are well kept and very peaceful. It got very cold that night, but a fire and snacks was all we needed. It doesn’t guarantee a grill at your spot, but we found one and cooked dinner on it. It was a pleasure to meet John T and he was very enthusiastic about our stay and his land, nice guy! It is unfortunate that you can hear the road, but it still feels remote and it was fun to see some stars. Would definitely go again!

Brandon was a wonderful and accommodating host. The camp site sat right next to the Rail trails for biking. He also had chickens donkeys and cows that were very friendly. The location is perfect for people who want to go into Gainesville, but still wanna stay out of the city.

We had a wonderful time camping here! The space was accommodating, and the host was very attentive. The campfire space was very nice with string lights, picnic tables, and a grill. The cows, donkeys, and chickens on the property were friendly, and we enjoyed feeding and petting them. Thank you for having us!

Located just 35 minutes from Jacksonville and an hour from St. Augustine, this serene compound spans 10 acres, featuring 1300 feet of riverfront and 2 acres of open field, with the rest covered in native woods. We specialize in private venue events and primitive tent camping, offering a peaceful retreat into nature. Our property is surrounded by 150+ acres of protected preserve, offering guests complete privacy. LAKEFRONT RETREAT! Boondock parking/tent camping spot or bunkhouse accommodations located in north central Florida lake country with an 'old Florida' feel, at homeowner Host's parcel on a small lake (private, i.e., no public access) that offers fishing, swimming (sandy-bottomed), birdwatching, and plenty of outdoor seating. HipCamp listings provided by an experienced, highly rated Host on other lodgings platforms, and fellow van-life traveler. Lakefront property is located in between Hawthorne and Interlachen out in the wooded countryside (decidedly rural) on a dead-end road as it turns to dirt -- usually very peaceful and quiet. Central location serves as a good base camp for day trips to the ocean beaches at either the Atlantic or the Gulf Coast, the manatees at various springs, or Ocala horse country. Variety of shops and restaurants are located in Gainesville to the west or Palatka to the east, both an easy drive on S.R. 20. BOONDOCKING SITE: Must be self-contained and leave no trace. Accepting only one camping guest vehicle at a time. The homeowner property is fenced with drive-through wing gates, host will greet you upon arrival so you can choose your spot either in the shade or in the sun or somewhat in between as the sandy ground slopes gently to the private lake. Best for vans, SUVs, or those with car and tent. Please inquire regarding compact RVs -- due to overhanging branches of oak shade trees, and limited size of the 0..66 acre lot, cannot accommodate large RVs or travel trailers. Potable water available from the yard's garden hose, but cannot offer power, and there's no public restroom or dump station. Small bags of trash or two can go in our communal covered trash bin. BUNKHOUSE OPTION: Charming dry-camp lakefront cottage (no running water) with basic electrical (cannot handle high-draw electrical devices like heaters or A/C units) has a van-life type camp toilet (bag #2, collect urine/#1; proper disposals supported by Host), jug of local spring water for drinking, bed options include a new twin mattress in upper sleeping loft and a new cot-width padded chaise lounge below (clean fitted bottom sheet and pillowcase provided per stay). Guests provide their own towels and toiletries. Some basic camping kitchen/household items provided. Guests are welcome to use the homeowner Host's vintage rowboat, kayaks, communal firepit, and/or wooden dock. Or there's a small tire-rim firepit by the shorefront. Firewood bundle with kindling available for a small fee. Not best property for traveling with pets, may be negotiable on a case-by-case basis, due to homeowner's dog (communicate directly with Host prior to booking). Guest pets would have to remain on tether at all times while on premises. Also, why care with gates must be practiced, such as securely latched and closed after going in or out, due to homeowner Host's dog.

We are The Florida Coalition for Peace and Justice. We are 1.7 miles away from the Florida Trail, minutes away from Hampton Lake with a boat dock, and a short drive away from multiple Florida springs and natural attractions. We have 15 acres under 100 yr old Pecan grove. Surrounding view is a 120 acres of pine forest, 40 have been cleared. There are wetlands and cypress groves and a beautiful view of the sky, good for star gazing or birding. Tent camping is available in flexible but designated areas around the property. We have edible plants, chickens, dogs, and other wild life, like gopher tortoises, who call this area their home. There is occasionally a buzz around the grounds with activity with our many projects, but the stillness of the late nights and early mornings lend to a peace filled atmosphere. A tour of all the grounds and mission of our 501c3 may be offered upon request. We have a meeting hall called the Peace Education Center that is available for group activities upon request.
