The farm has its humble beginnings in the summer of 2015 with four acres, four goats, and four chickens. Howard Creek is located just 20 minutes from the St Joe Bay for saltwater fishing or access to the Gulf of Mexico, 15 minutes from the Intracoastal waterway access at White City, FL and 35 minutes from the Dead Lakes in Wewahitchka, FL. Flat site partially tucked behind some trees and set back 80 feet off of the sand street. Well water hookup, septic capabilities with macerator (lav pump), electric with 30 and 50 amp at the box on the pole (approx. 100 feet from primary parking spot) or 30 amp at the parking spot, corner of pole barn. COLD water shower and sink available. There is a pole barn on the property with our camper stored under it. You're welcome to use the remaining space under the pole barn for your leisure, approximately 20x35 ft. We're dog people! Your dogs are welcome but must supervised while you're away from the property. We have some wonderful neighbors and do not want to disturb them. There are security cameras present on the property. This is a wonderful "Forgotten Coast" region of the Florida panhandle with so much to see and do within minutes. This area took a direct hit from Hurricane Michael in 2018 and has worked hard at recovery, with so much rebuilding and growth over the last few years. Howard Creek is an eclectic little fishing community made up of a variety of residents from weekend fishers, summer or winter visitors and full time residents. This little golf cart community offers a small general store, a small community church, a volunteer fire department and two landings to put your boat in. Just 20 minutes from the quaint little beach town of Port Saint Joe, Florida. PSJ is known for its warm, welcoming people, old world Florida feel, dog-friendly beaches, Cape San Blas and Indian Pass. Many locally owned wonderful restaurants, bakeries and shops. It's easy to find a charter out of PSJ if you're interested in fishing! If you leave our site and head north, you're just 35 minutes from the Dead Lakes in Wewahitchka; some gorgeous old Florida natural views and fresh water fishing; bream, large mouth bass, crappie, shellcracker and catfish.

Weekend Trip to Goat House Farm

I loved tent camping here! I have been here once before and wanted to come visit again—especially since it is in such a great area. The ammenities (bathroom, potable water, and commons room) make it all a little more comfortable without necessarily taking away from the beauty of being in nature. The farm animals are almost always very gentle and sweet, and the farm dog Toby was super loving and protective. The Goat House Farm were very sweet to all of us and answered any questions we had.

We had a great time at the Goat house Farm. I have a Tacoma with a Roof top tent and it was the perfect spot for that. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. All the animals were sweet and well behaved. We will definitely be back with some friends next time!

All the chickens are named! I didn't catch this ones but it looks like a Rufus...

2 nights at Goat House Farm

The Goat House Farm provided the perfect yet affordable getaway for my partner and I. The farm consisted of friendly goats, adorable chickens, and a dog named Tobi that made us feel right at home. The location of the farm was great, as we were able to go to various springs and state parks during our 2-night stay. The cabin included all the necessities and was comfortable. The host, Melissa, was very sweet and welcoming. It was a short hike to the lake that provided even more beautiful scenery. We quickly made friends with the orange cat that hung out outside the cabin, played fetch with Tobi, kicked our legs up outside, and made the most of our ideal summer evenings on the farm.

For a truly unforgettable experience, move the review over to the Goat House Farm! It’s rustic, it’s quirky, and if you’ve ever dreamed of hanging out with goats all day—this is the place. Seriously, if you love goats, this might just be the greatest thing ever. A quick tip: bring hiking boots, Crocs, or any shoes that can be easily washed. You’ll be around a lot of goats, and let’s just say… you don’t want to be wearing your nicest sneakers. If you’re planning to stay the night, we stayed in an RV and were able to plug in—super easy and surprisingly comfy. All in all, it’s fun, it’s rustic, it’s a goat-lover’s paradise!

This was a nice solo travel experience for me. The Rustic Cottage is very cozy, clean and stocked with almost everything you'd need (i.e. cookware, spices, body wash). Goat yoga was fun and the property is serene. Horseflies were in abundance during the day but that didn't dull the experience.

We've reached the stage in our life that we look for experiences beyond just a place to stay over night. What a wonderful place. So many horses to see and pet. Really enjoyed our stay, and hoped it help support their rescue efforts. Our site faced the corals. Early in the morning I was sitting have coffee outside and one of the horses made eye contact, then walked over to the fence to say good morning. Pretty cool.

It’s truly a rural experience. The host was very responsive to all questions, before and during my visit. She even offered to let me come out when the goat kids were being bottle fed. The Coop was clean, decorated just like a chicken coop, and had cold A/C. I added in the morning biscuits option which was a tasty treat as I got on the road.

Great spot! I unfortunately couldn’t arrive until almost midnight but I was able to get in and set up without any issues. The fenced in space was perfect for my dog to roam around. I loved the picnic area with lots of room to make and prepare food. Using the outdoor shower in the morning sun was lovely. If I’m in the area I will absolutely book this spot again!

We loved tent camping with the goats! We camped in the goat enclosure, and had a lot of fun keeping our stuff goat-proofed. We highly recommend ear plugs, as the roosters seem to think Dawn was every few minutes. But it was worth it! We really appreciated the community fridge that we could store some stuff in, and the community supplies (pots, pans, etc) in case you forgot something. The hostess was awesome. I even got to help with a baby goat delivery! Tell Fireball “hi” from me!

This cozy, quiet cabin was the perfect retreat during our 3-day soccer tournament stay. It had everything we needed—comfy beds, a warm shower, and a peaceful setting that made it easy to relax at night. One of the best parts was getting to spend time with the goats—such sweet animals! We even got to see a newborn baby with her mom, which was such a special experience. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommend this unique and charming spot!

Ms.Marcia, or Ms.sweetie as I like to call her was amazing! Sweetest woman ever. Her and her family were very accommodating. The work they are doing here is amazing and beautiful. The ranch was clean and very well taken care of. They were very knowledgeable about their horses. She gave us a tour when we arrived and learned about all the horses and their personalities.
