We will share our piece of paradise with you. It is 3 blocks (cross no main roads) to Shamrock Park and the Venetian Intercoastal Waterway with walk and bike trail, playground, tennis courts, basketball hoops and nature center plus restrooms at the park. Our quiet, safe neighborhood includes a boat ramp, a separate kayak launch as well as fishing spots along the intercoastal. All 4 of the Venice beaches (including a dog beach) are within 7 miles of our location and are well known for finding shark teeth. Our beach's offer free parking, outdoor yoga, drum circle and live music. Downtown Venice offers a variety of stores, restaurants, souvenir shops, high end clothing, an interactive splash fountain and several ice cream shops. It also offers Historic Walking Tours and Farmer's Market (Saturday mornings). 6 nights at Peace and Harmony with a Gulf View

Amazing property! This type of old costal Florida is becoming difficult to experience specifically in the area of the site. Wonderfully wildlife viewing, birds of all types especially sea/costal birds. Kayaking and fishing are world class as good as it gets anywhere along the gulf. The host is super nice and easy going. We enjoyed spending time and talking with him. You will not see many sites like this.

6 nights at Peace and Harmony with a Gulf View

We were honored to be Foster’s first guests. He was an interesting and charming host. The camping site is next to his house, which is on stilts and he allows guests to use the second floor, which has great views across the marshes. The property itself is very isolated and peaceful. There is a waterfront park to launch kayaks about a 5 minute walk. We really enjoyed our time here. The property itself is a work in progress so there is some work to be done, but you don’t see it when you are looking out over the marshes. There is a Walmart and other shops a few mins away. We would recommend and will be back soon

We were able to park our 40ft motor home with no problems and the lakeshore was 30ft out our door. Liz and Frank were wonderful friendly hosts. If we're ever back in the area, I would stay here hands down!

We loved our stay at David and Brenda’s! They live in a friendly, quiet, safe neighborhood, close to many different beaches. They gave us recommendations on places to go and where to find shark teeth and were always quick to answer any questions we had. I would definitely stay there again!

We really enjoyed our 2 nights at David and Brenda’s. We experienced their warm hospitality and quiet neighbourhood. David gave us some great local recommendations for food and activities, and even kindly leant us their ‘Florida snow shovel’ to search for shark teeth on the beach. The RV space was flat and easy to park in, and the hookups were easy to access. If we weren’t visiting from Australia, we would definitely be back in a heartbeat!
