You can see the largest wilderness area in the United States from your camp site, at 9,000 ft. We are an outdoor enthusiast's playground. Wolf Creek ski area 'The Most Snow In Colorado'. Creede Repertory Theater rivals Off Broadway. We offer cabins, RV sites and Campsites at Bristol Mountain RV Park & Cabins. Please call our office or visit our website. RV Sites are NOT booked through hipcamp, they run $50-$60 nightly and can only be reserved through the Bristol Mountain RV Park & Cabins website.
We are 32728 hwy 149 Creede. 11 miles towards Lake City on hwy 149. Pull all through the Cabins and either turn left up the little hill camping anywhere, but keep the fire pit open for everyone. Or drive through the green gate past cabin #7 and camp in the pasture. Bathhouse is in the middle of the cabins. (No Bathhouse or water after September 15th.) Fire pit and picnic table are on the hill. You can have dogs off leash anywhere away from the cabins and RV sites, just be careful as we have horses, we don't want the pup's getting kicked. Let me know if you need anything.

The Last Resort on the River is a small and quiet RV park on the Blanco River off Highway 84 between Chama, New Mexico and Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We have 23 full hook-up sites, 6 riverside sites for smaller units with electric and water only, and tent sites that sit on the river. We also have a dry cabin and a one bedroom fully-stocked cabin available. Firewood is available for purchase as are shower tokens for showers. The bathhouse has separate men’s and women’s showers/restrooms along with a washer and dryer.

Loved staying at Last Resort! It was beautiful, peaceful & quiet. We had full hookups & fit our 29 ft motorhome. Stayed here to go skiing at Wolf Creek. Love that it is also close to Pegosa Springs. We love this area! I highly recommend Last resort & will stay here again!

What a wonderful reasonably priced off season 5 night RV park stay!
The host, Lulu, was friendly, engaging-not intrusive and very knowledgeable of the area. She has built an amazing and welcoming community. The camp workers on site were always available, happily helpful and great to interact with, specifically Cody. The park itself is well organized, clean with level sites. The comfortable clubhouse has everything you need to relax and socialize (wood burning stove) games, large screen TV, activities and a kitchen with well stocked tools and appliances. The laundry has $2.00 machines! and there’s a great roomy shower area. During warmer months there’ll be plenty to do in the designated areas.
The park is close to a main road but traffic noise is minimal at night. It is situated with amazing mountain views and night sky viewing.
I highly recommend an Aspen Ridge RV Park stay!

The site was gorgeous, with plenty to do nearby, but what really stood out to me was the camp hosts. I was struggling with my equipment and the hosts helped me get everything set up for a comfortable stay. It brought good stay to a great stay and I was so grateful! Surrounded by views more gorgeous than I ever could have imagined, it was nice to have people equally fantastic!

We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds the hospitality and the location was perfect for what we were doing in Pagosa. The only issue I had was there’s only one shower one bathroom for a lot of peopl.
I would definitely go there again. It’s a little pricey, but worth the money. Oh by the way, make sure you bring money for the shower. Lol

We arrived late and checked out early. A quick overnight on our journey. So we didn’t get a chance to experience everything. I can say the host was wonderful. Walked us to our site. Explained everything about the grounds. They seem to have everything you could need. We backed our van to within 15 feet of a running creek. Nice. Beautiful location, not far from Pagosa Springs (10 miles ish). Would definitely return when in the area. Thanks!

Our stay at Bristol Mountain/Broken Arrow Ranch was wonderful! We stayed in our 27ft fifth wheel and it was perfect. Plenty of room in our spot. The views were probably my favorite part of staying here. The property was clean, nice and very quiet. The location is great close to a few great hikes and scenery. It was close to Creede you could be to town in about 15 minutes which was perfect. I loved the phone booth lol. We had 2 dogs with us and it was fine for them! I would definitely recommend staying here. I have no doubt we will be back.

The Last Resort on the River was wonderful! The bathrooms are clean, the skies are dark, the traffic noise is negligible at night, and if you’re a digital nomad, the WiFi is great, especially in the riverside sites 5 & 6. You won’t be sorry you stayed here!

Where to go
San Luis Valley
South Fork is located at the western end of the San Luis Valley, an expansive high desert valley home to towns such as Del Norte, Alamosa, San Luis, and Mineral Hot Springs. Drive along scenic byways, go wildlife spotting in designated wildernesses, climb rugged mountain peaks, chase waterfalls, soak in the hot springs, or explore the massive sand dunes of Great Sand Dunes National Park. Plenty of options let campers stay overnight, including developed campgrounds on public land, dispersed camping in the backcountry and wilderness areas, cabins, and private RV parks and glamping sites.
West
Head along the scenic Silver Thread Byway to the historic towns of Creede and Lake City. Nearly Rio Grande National Forest offers 1.8 million acres of diverse terrain, spanning woodlands, high desert, towering mountains, river canyons, geologic wonders, and more than 30 campgrounds, cabins, and dispersed camping options. Further west, San Juan National Forest offers another 1.8 million acres of forest for camping and recreation. Head southwest to the towns of Pagosa Springs, Bayfield, and Durango for culture, hot springs, and adventures. For water activities, head to Navajo State Park, just north of the New Mexico border.
North
Head north to Poncha Springs for hot springs and history or get artsy at neighboring Salida. The Sawatch Range and the San Isabel National Forest are home to Colorado’s largest concentration of 14ers, so peak baggers can take their pick or try the state’s highest peak. Explore ghost towns or fish and raft the Arkansas River. The area is home to plenty of forested, riverside, lakeside, and backcountry campgrounds. To the west, Gunnison National Forest offers more than 30 developed campgrounds, with tent sites, RV sites, and cabins.
When to go
Summers are popular times for camping and outdoor recreation near South Fork. June to October tends to be peak fishing season, though ice fishing is also popular in the winter. Leaf peeping and hunting are popular in the fall. The area also offers a wide range of winter activities, including skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling.
Know before you go
- South Fork sits above 8,000 feet. Some recreation areas and campsites are at even higher elevations. Be aware of potential altitude issues.
- Campsites in national forests are often first-come first-serve, while campsites in Colorado state parks require advanced reservations.
- Permits are required to cut firewood in certain national forests.
- Be bear aware, especially when camping. Store food and other attractants in a bear proof container, away from your tent.
- Fishing licenses are required in Colorado for anyone over age 16. There are bait and other requirements for fishing in some waters near South Fork.
