Incredibly beautiful spot that feels far more removed from Grand Junction than it is. After camping in the national parks for a few days, being able to stretch out in the comfortable tipi and not set up our own site was pretty great. We also loved the sunset from the cliffs.
Charles was not there when we arrived but he was easy to communicate with and provided everything we needed. One tip: Bring enough drinking/cooking water with you as the spigot is pretty far away from the tipi and requires you to get back into your vehicle.

Absolutely magical! 🌟 Staying at Charle’s Mountain View Tipi was like stepping into another world — a peaceful, awe-inspiring slice of rustic heaven tucked away in nature’s arms. The gigantic authentic tipi? Breathtaking. It’s spacious, beautifully designed, and radiates the perfect mix of adventure and comfort. Waking up to the mountain views with the fire pit gently crackling outside felt like a dream you never want to end.
The setup is thoughtful and serene — you can tell a lot of care went into creating this space. We especially loved the little loop path leading past the bathroom area to the adorable smaller tipi, which adds even more charm and whimsy to the experience. The bathroom area was well-maintained and had all the essentials, and honestly, having that kind of convenience in such a natural setting was a huge plus.
If we could wish for one thing, it would be a more defined trail to the bathroom area, especially at night. But even that didn’t take away from the overall wonder of the stay — it just added a touch more adventure!
If you’re looking for a unique, soul-soothing escape with serious wow-factor, this is it. We left feeling recharged, inspired, and already dreaming of our next stay. Thank you, Charle, for creating such a magical space! 💫🔥⛰️

The site was very clean and well maintained. There were tables and chairs around the fire pit and picnic tables. There where tipi was carpeted and very clean. We had a good night sleep before heading out to the National Monument which was close by.

Awesome! The views are absolutely stunning, my pictures don’t do it justice but you can see the valleys and the national monument from it. The site was very clean as well as organized with extra chairs etc. very easy to find with the instructions listed, however I would suggest screenshotting them because I didn’t have a lot of service on the drive lol. also very much appreciated the grill. I would highly recommend this. Charles was an awesome host and checked in on us a couple of times.

Great tipi on beautiful property. Feels secluded and private despite being on Chuck (Charles) property not far from his home and near town. He was highly available and responsive and left us to enjoy during our stay. The tipis are large, comfortable, and spacious (we were upgraded to the larger tipi due to its availability which was not asked for but very appreciated).
It is expected and we did not mind or lose sleep but the tipi does make noise (the canvas and the structure) shifting with the wind, nothing ear plugs wouldn't fix if you needed. Star gazing is beautiful as well.

We had a great stay in the tipi. It was perfect for a quick camping getaway. It was nice having a toilet, tables, chairs, and a fire pit all there and ready to go. The views are gorgeous and we spent the day at Colorado National Monument. The host was responsive and communicative. Highly recommend. One thing to consider.. one night it was very windy and the tipi was very loud inside. I am a very light sleeper, so I did end up sleeping in my car that night but that is not a reflection of the site itself, just something to consider when staying in a tip,i which was a first for me.

Really awesome location and site plus an amazing host to boot. Chuck communicated regularly and even upgraded our tipi. THEN on day 2 an epic dust storm kicked up all afternoon. After we returned from a day at the Monument, we found everything buried in dust plus the wind was still whipping with no end in sight. Chuck came right up to check on us and we decided to head for the Mariott! We aren’t wimpy campers, so it was a sad decision. Chuck refunded the remainder of our trip. We would definitely camp here again and recommend it to anyone.

Very friendly host who we saw at arrival then were left to ourselves. The tipi was a great first night of a weeklong family road trip. No one else used his land and the site was a long way from his home and totally private. Great elevated rocks for taking in the view and sunset.
