Well run commercial campground between Loveland & RMNP. Ours & most sites by us had just 50A & 20A electric. We were promised a 30A site so they lent us a converter (great staff esp maintenance guy). Water was great but pressure varied, next time we'll use their water to fill our tank then use our pump for consistent pressure. Sites were a little small but our 30' trailer fit easily. Some sites had big class A's & 5th wheels w/6 slide outs. Staff spread out campers so our neighboring sites were vacant half the week we were there. Beautiful perimeter trail along the river & nice dog park. Very quiet & friendly place, ~20 minutes to a Safeway in Loveland but still has that out-in-the-woods feel. 45 minutes to Estes Park & a bit under an hour to Rocky Mountain National Park. Lots of cabins & RV parks in this area but this one is back in the woods so no noise from US34.

Riverview RV Park had easy accessibility to Rocky Mountain National Park and any service needed was within 7 miles. It was far enough from Loveland, CO to be away from the congestion. It was a very pleasant place to stay.

Friendly hosts, nice place but be aware that if you have a vehicle wider than a Class B van you won't be able to access their designated camping area as their secondary gate is too narrow. There's plenty of space to camp outside that area but there's a lot of road noise in that location. Just a minor inconvenience that wouldn't put me off staying there again.

We spent three nights at Riverview RV Park and Campground and found the accommodations to be just fine. We had a small snafu regarding power (thought we were getting 30A, but the pedestals were 50A or 20A only), but the camp store loaned us a dogbone adapter so we could fully power our coach.
The entrance to the campground is IMMEDIATELY off the highway, which is convenient ... but be aware this is one of the main highways to Estes Park and there WILL be traffic noise. The entrance is also on a bend, so pull out onto the highway decisions will need to made quickly!
Our full hookup site backed up to the Big Thompson River, which was a lovely mountain stream. The site was reasonably level, and there are restroom and shower facilities available to campers. There is also a surprisingly well stocked store located on the grounds, which services travelers and a number of full-time and/or full-season residents who you will share the campground with.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Riverview and would recommend it. It's convenient location - halfway between Loveland, CO and Estes Park / Rocky Mountain National Park - made it a great choice for us as we like to dump our coach and go exploring from there. And there are PLENTY of places to explore from this location.

The hot showers were a plus and restroom were well maintained. Our tent site was somewhat private for being in a RV campsite. It would be nice if their was a close electrical outlet for the tent campers. Campground is close to many activities around the town. 25-50 min away. Also (tent campers), put away your food in the car. My partner and I woke up at 3am to family of Racoons eating our pets food and trying to get into our containers. Sadly they were successful.

Anthony and Jared are amazing hosts! They make you feel welcome and cared for, are super attentive and readily available if you need anything.
It is so fun to watch the goats, Oreo, Star and Marlberry play and munch.
The main tree offers lots of shade and the sunsets are spectacular, we even saw rainbows the last two times we stayed there!! This hipcamp farm is a little slice of heaven super close to Denver and surrounding areas.

Employees are friendly, helpful and professional.
Conveniently located near Estes Park and Horsetooth Reservoir.

Where to go
Lake Granby
Lake Granby is Colorado’s third-largest body of water, and it’s just ten minutes outside of Granby. Boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, and fishing are popular activities on the lake and paddleboard rentals are available in nearby Grand Lake. Several campgrounds are located on the shores of Lake Granby from lakeside RV parks stacked with amenities to wooded National Forest campgrounds ideal for tent campers.
Rocky Mountain National Park
It’s only a twenty-minute drive to the Grand Lake entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park from Granby. On the western side of the park, you can see the headwaters of the Colorado River, hike to the old mining town of Lulu City, or drive the entire Trail Ridge Road to Estes Park. Timber Creek Campground is the closest campground to Granby in the park and it operates on a first-come, first-served basis only.
Winter Park
The mountain resort town of Winter Park is only 25 minutes south of Granby. It’s known best as a winter sports destination but in summer, Winter Park transforms into a summer playground for hikers, mountain bikers, whitewater enthusiasts, and more. The Idlewild Campground is just outside Winter Park off of Highway 40. The paved Fraser River Trail connects the campground to downtown Winter Park.
When to go
Granby is a bit under-the-radar as far as Colorado mountain town destinations making it a great alternative to Winter Park or Grand Lake during the busy summer season. Summer is the best time for paddling and fishing on Lake Granby and late September is the best time to see fall colors. The Grand Lake entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is open year-round, but Trail Ridge Road only remains open to the Colorado River Trailhead in winter.
Know before you go
- Granby has a grocery store, several outdoor gear stores, and restaurants. Stores are more oriented to locals in Granby compared to those in the tourist towns of Winter Park and Grand Lake.
- Granby lies on Colorado’s Amtrak train route. Take this train east to Denver or west to Glenwood Springs or Grand Junction.
- The Granby Ranch offers lift-served downhill mountain biking just south of town.
