1 night at Boulder Gardens Sanctuary

Shayna (and dogs!) greeted me at check in and showed me to my campsite - I slept at the geodome site and the surrounding boulders were otherworldly! Easy and friendly check in, clean facilities, gorgeous views and great wildlife. Saw lots of birds, rabbits, bats, and not a single other human. Great stargazing too! Highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Villa Macala

We stayed at Macala Orchards in the Elderberry campground and had a fantastic experience. The site was clean, spacious, and well-maintained—perfect for our group of nine, with plenty of room to spread out comfortably. The newly built shower, sink, and toilet outhouse were spotless and thoughtfully designed, and the ground well faucet was a nice touch for easy access to water. We were warmly greeted by David, who was an excellent host. He answered all our questions, both in person and via text, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. The location strikes a great balance: it’s secluded enough to feel like a true getaway, yet only about 15 minutes from supermarkets and restaurants. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful, private campground with great amenities and a welcoming host!

Weekend Trip to Granite Mountain

I loved this site and highly recommend! It was the perfect mix of comfort and nature for an easy getaway from the city. There's lots of options for things to do around the are. I went for a hike, found a fun thrift store, and stopped by old town Temecula on my way out. Ken was an amazing host, his site is so thoughtfully designed and equipped. Will definitely stay again!

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm

Wonderful time. Hidden tents among the date Groves was so private and relaxing. The individual mineral spring jacuzzi at each camping location was a nice touch as well as the mineral spring swimming pool. The dates very yummy. At first we where worried about the heat but the tents are set up nicely with air-conditioned. Overall, a great place.

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm

What a wonderful place for glamping. My family had a good time. We where at first afraid it would be to hot to stay since it is out in the dessert but Ron had each tent set up with air-conditioned and the placement of the tents where shady and private. We loved that each spot had its own little mineral water jacuzzi like tub to use. There is also a large mineral pool to enjoy. The property is fun to explore and we felt very safe on it. Ron is also very personal and great host. He left us some amazing dates that they harvest right there on the farm as a treat and remembrance of our trip. We will make sure to come back.

Weekend Trip to Zephyr Mountain Avocado Grove

Shane and Nicole’s property is sooo beautiful! We camped at the Glamp in the Grove site and it was perfect. There was a structure that was great for putting our tent in, an outhouse + handwashing station, two tables, two chairs, and a fire pit (that we paid extra for). Shane was also super helpful and responded quickly which was appreciated. Thank you for an awesome stay Shane and Nicole :)

Weekend Trip to Villa Macala

We absolutely loved this place—especially Site 4! It felt more private than the others, with plenty of shade from the giant trees and a refreshing breeze coming through the canyon, which made it perfect for summer. Our site had two benches, two fire pits, and even a charming little sitting area on the other side with a lovely view—great for eating or painting! Everything about our stay was wonderful. The location is ideal—just 20 minutes from Temecula and 10 minutes from Hemet. The host, David, was amazing! He gave us a little tour on our second day, which made us appreciate the place even more. The property is full of beautiful pomegranate and olive trees—it’s so natural and peaceful. The bathroom was a big bonus: clean, spacious, and very convenient to have on-site. We truly had a fantastic experience and would absolutely come back!

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm

My wife and I stayed at Ron's date farm for the weekend. It was a very good location for our combined Palm Springs and Joshua Tree trip. Ron and Myung are such generous hosts! Ron checked on us to make sure everything was going well, and he was incrediblyb responsive when I texted him regarding our add-ons. Myung is so incredibly sweet and she makes killer ramyun! Loved the sundae and the pig trotters she added into the soup. The dates are a must-try as well. Staying at the yurt site was also wonderful. We loved soaking in the natural mineral spring in the evening, and watching the stars. Fire pit was also lovely. There was also good distance between the other camp sites. It was really like a dream, watching cottontail rabbits hop around the dates, and falling asleep to the sound of the running mineral spring and the soft rustling of the palm trees. Would stay again if given the chance!

We loved everything about our stay at the hilltop lodge. Great views, so relaxing and peaceful and lots of helpful amenities to make it easy and comfortable. Bed was very cozy for a full nights rest. We will definitely come back again.

Seems strange to describe camping as “cute” but honestly, this cabin and surrounding accommodation truly was the cutest. The entire stay was perfection. From a super communicative and above and beyond host, Ken, to the amazing design and functionality of the cabin from entry door back to the shower/compostable toilet to the kitchen and picnic table with market lights. It has everything you need and it’s super clean. The stars at night were beautiful and best of all, my pup had the time of her life. Would highly recommend!

Awesome glamp site with a great view. This is one of the first I've stayed at where the pictures are what's actually there. The old school outhouse was fun for me and the shower was very comfortable. The host made regular contact and left some great recommendations for the local area. Im glad I took opportunity of that instead of guessing what's good in the area.

Weekend Trip to The "Camp-Sight"

Hidden gem 30 minutes from Temecula wineries. Cheri was amazing. She may want to advertise how great her location is. Clear night skies and plenty of space for our dogs. There was even a small outdoor kennel which was nice to have when we wanted to pack up and let the dogs chill. Cheri was there when we arrived and showed us how everything works. The RV is super clean. Couches were super comfortable. And the generator ensured we had lights and a radio. The radio has speakers inside and outside. This was a nice touch as we cooked on the bbq. There’s a generator. Being your own gas, but there was some when we arrived. It holds 5 gallons. We probably used 1.5 g per night. - heads up it’s not clamping. There are things in the RV that don’t worrk, fridge. But they are minor. To save water you must flip a switch outside before using. Again, not a big deal. We also pitched a second tent for our group. Plenty of space. In the morning we played frisbee and horseshoes. I hope to be back again soon.

Bailes Farm

One of the last remaining undeveloped parts of Southern California, De Luz Heights is located adjacent to the Cleveland National Forest, and the Santa Margarita River (just a few miles from the campsite). On my 60 acres, there are no major roads going through or next to the property. My land is 13 miles from the Pacific ocean and enjoys a relatively mild yearly climate. Giant boulders provide topographical relief and offer platforms from which to enjoy the view of the nearby Santa Margarita Mountains. The valley views are filled with olive and avocado groves, vineyards, and horse ranches. The Camp Pendleton Marine Corps base is nearby, so you might hear some artillery in the distance on some occasions. The campsite embraces all the comforts of "glamping": a hot shower, composting toilet, beds with sheets provided, gas grill with a stovetop, pots and pans, kitchenware, a sink, picnic table, shaded deck, sofa, lounge chairs, and propane fire pit. The basics are provided: toilet paper, paper towels, purified drinking water, towels, sheets, cooking oil, etc. Campers need to bring their own blankets. I've created a network of hiking trails for especially fit hikers looking for a more rigorous hike than the nearby Santa Margarita River Trail. My trails lead through creek beds, over boulders, through rocky crags, with views of the Pacific ocean on a clear day. Hikers on my trails need to wear proper hiking boots with good traction. Sections of my trails will require bouldering with hands and feet. Expect to have fatigued quadriceps, some scrapes, and a sweaty hat brim. The campsite is accessible with a two-wheel drive vehicle; I drive a Kia Forte out there regularly. However, some tips when driving a two-wheel drive car: when going uphill on a dirt road, try to keep some momentum of about 12-15 MPH. If you stop and try to start again, your tires will spin out. If that happens, just reverse down the hill, and try it again with more momentum.

You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights. There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well. At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls! Pets and horses are welcome. We provide Two horse corrals with feed buckets and access to water. There is a outdoor dog kennel. There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt. Not to far there is a Casino, small store and a restaurant and about 30 minutes away from the Temecula wineries. You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV big enough for 6 people if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). and has indoor and outdoor lights and electrical outlets to plug in a fan or your phone and, there is a microwave to use. We have a cooler for you to use bur you will need to provide your own ice. There are dishes and utensils and a toilet. and water in and outside (You will need to bring your own blankets, sleeping bags and towels). Also provided arepropane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. There is enough room on this property to bring your own camper, RV or tent or ? but it must be self contained. There is no electric, water or waste hook up. If you are just looking for a place to set up your own tent, I will consider the cost to be lower. Please contact me if you may have any questions. It's so nice to "meet you" my name is Taryn and my hubby's name is Anson. We are parents to two-year-old twins, so saying we have our hands full is an understatement. Anson is a folk and blues musician and has traveled all around the U.S. playing his music and I work for a children's book company. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, and events and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, re purposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees. Anson and I continue to build everything ourselves with the help of our friends and family every now and again. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. During the pandemic, we turned our venue into a campground so we could open up the venue to people who needed to get out into nature. We are now open for daily camping and private events.
