Weekend Trip to Windsor Family Farm

We had such a fun stay at the Room with a View of a Ewe! Kim the host was extremely welcoming and friendly - she showed us around the farm and we got to feed the chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, bunnies, and alpacas. It was a hit with our toddler. The cabin was comfortable and warm overnight, and the breakfast and s’mores kit were an added bonus. Thanks Kim!

Weekend Trip to Sacred Owl Land

We had a great time in the Sky View Cabana! Ludo and Vaza were excellent hosts. The cabana is nestled in their backyard, but feels quite private with a beautiful view of the valley below. The bed was super comfy and the cabana was stocked with a mini fridge, sink, shower, towels, coffee, and a few kitchen essentials like mugs and cutlery. We lounged on the hammocks, went for a walk through the woods, and enjoyed the sunset on the deck. Fantastic getaway!

Kim’s farm, as my kids call it, is one of our favorite family adventures. It’s low-key and peaceful but engaging enough to keep a 9 year old, a 7 year old, and a 2 year old all equally comfortable and happy. They love to feed the animals and collect eggs. They love sleeping in the cabin and getting up early to wander the property in their pajamas. They feel mostly unsupervised and totally safe. Kim goes out of her way to make our visits feel special. She also makes a wonderful breakfast.

I’ve stayed at plenty of campgrounds, but I’ve never seen one so beautifully kept. It’s immediately obvious how much love and care goes into this place. This is glamping at its finest — the communal area alone is worth the trip. There’s a massive, fully equipped kitchen, multiple firepits perfect for evening hangs, and even a big screen projector for cozy movie nights under the stars. What truly sets The Secret Gardens apart, though, are the hosts — Farbod and Yeyen. I’ve never met more hospitable, generous, and genuinely kind hosts in my life. They made the entire stay unforgettable with their warmth and thoughtfulness. If you’re looking for a magical, comfortable, and welcoming retreat in nature, this is the spot. Me and my husband stayed at room with a view for 2, we spent one night from 6 pm on Thursday 18 to 10 am next morning on friday 19. The place is amazing! Is very cozy very comfortable. Kim is awesome, since we arrive she was there to give us the tour and get right on to pet and feed goats, tortoises, chickens and bunnies, she is very friendly. There was another party in the property but kim totally made us feel very welcome. We loved every single thing ! Waking up to the sounds of the animals is a truly wonderful experience.

Farbod & his wife Yeyen have created a fairy oasis, big enough to host over a 100 campers their original vision was to create a family camp. Now they have terraced the land and it can comfortably host even the most picky of glampers. Farbod's hospitality is evident in how he offered me water, lit a fire pit and then treated me to dinner! A successful professional roofer, this extensive property is clearly his creative outlet. He has built everything with such intentionality yet continuities to build on a whim. The amenities like warm water showers, baths & sinks, toilets make this a glamping paradise. Yeyen showed me around leaving me with wild picked blueberries from the garden, fresh cut flowers and immune boosting juices from her company! This may be the most extensive HipCamp i've experienced in the states with the most loving and generous hosts. I left with new friends after my short night with them. I would recommend staying at least 2-3 nights to really linger in what the land has to offer.

Kim is a superhost and we spent an incredible night celebrating my husband's birthday in a blanket of stars! We love the animals on the farm, all clean and happy, and my 2-year-old had a great time feeding them. There are also plenty to explore for a kid her age (swings, pretend kitchen, dolls etc.), and spend quality time playing with grannies. The farm eggs is a nice surprise - flavorful and full of love. Just made an omelet with the dozen of eggs we got from the farm and it's absolutely yummy. The shower is separate from the cabin, but is nicely furnished with nice supply of hot water and shampoos. We felt fully relaxed and refreshed after the stay, and we're hoping to come back next year with friends!
