Weekend Trip to Serene Mountain Valley Ranch
Our family of 5 had an AMAZING time here. We were guided into the ranch by Laurel and her sweet Guardian dog, LB. We felt very safe here, loved the ample space to freely roam among
The beautiful oak trees and our kids loved climbing the boulder rocks. We appreciated having our own paved hiking trail on site that made us feel like we were in a completely different world. Laurels 40 acres is definitely a special and unique piece of land - water hose was nearby so we easily refilled our tank for our trailer. Bonus- were the 3 beautiful horses on site-
Our girls loved them! We enjoyed some wine tasting nearby, dinner in Julian & a horse rodeo that weekend. We will definitely be back!

Was an easy access spot with clean bathrooms and laundry facilities, not to mention a pool and a hot tub. We got in late and didn’t use much of the amenities but I’d stay there again if I’m passing through.

Great place to car camp, definitely needed a rugged vehicle to get us there. Level ground with a great view, perfect for a rooftop tent or ground tent. Easy access to the state park for day hikes.

We had a great stay! It was wide open, dark skies and impossibly quiet. Andy was SO kind and very helpful. He even met us out at the spot and helped us arrange our tiny camper perfectly with his 4x4 ranger. We would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves desert camping 🩵

I booked two nights at Shadow Hill’s on a whim, just to get my bearings and figure out my next stay. I enjoyed my first night so much I decided to stay the full week. They have a variety of spots- grass, pavement, tent camping and trailers for rent. I got a sweet little spot near their pond and walking path - perfect for my dog’s early morning walk. The environment is charming - lots of chirping birds, the sounds of running water from the fountain, etc., and the grounds are nicely curated in the communal space. The stay also includes a pool, hot tub, workout and media rooms. Their bathrooms are a little dated, but clean and serve their purpose.
And lastly, the staff is very friendly and helpful. For the price of booking, this is definitely a worthwhile stop.

We had the BEST experience at Peaceful Ranch in Mountain
Valley. The private setting is stunning. The ranch features gorgeous meadows, great hiking trails, and picturesque granite boulders throughout the scenic property. Our host, Laurel, was so welcoming and communicative before and during our visit. We felt very much at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. There is plenty of flat parking and nature is everywhere you look. The ranch is so peaceful and it was nice to have Laurel's ponies nearby to visit with. This was our first trip with a new (to us) 40' motorhome and Laurel and her lovely ranch made it a wonderful, memorable adventure for us! We plan to return and highly recommend the ranch to anyone that is looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature. Our pups loved it too!!!!

Super easy, super safe, super clean.
To start off, the campsite texted us checkin instructions, gate codes, bathroom codes etc. it was wonderful because we checked in late. Our packet was waiting for us on the office billion board with a map that was very easy to follow. Hookups worked great. Our site was clean. The bathrooms were awesome and included shampoo, conditioner and soap. When we went to check out, they reminded us that since it was before 11, we could leave the trash at the site and they would collect it. 100% recommend this site.
