* Beautiful 40-acre Family-Friendly Ranch - a peaceful, private place to unwind and enjoy the serenity of nature. We are popular with families with small children, family reunion campouts and club gatherings. We are not compatible with guests who wish to play loud music or who wish to use noisy motorized vehicles. We are an especially popular with self-sustaining RV's, Air Streams, Class A Motorhomes and Class C Luxury campers. As guests driving or pulling large camper units enjoy our easy, flat surface, drive-through gates. However, this is NOT a camp ground, and we pride ourselves on providing peaceful privacy for our guests. For that reason we do not host more than one group at a time...unless otherwise specifically requested by groups such as: family reunions and/or wilderness weddings. * Your well-socialized, family-member dogs are welcome, also. But please be aware that this is a remote wilderness area with many wild animals, so plan to secure your pets safely at night. * The most popular location is our main field has large shady oak trees on front of property. From there you can see the horses grazing under the shady oak trees. * Some adventuresome 4-wd campers enjoy the camping among boulders with views of BLM, on the upper elevations of the property. * This is also a good location to park your horse trailer(s) while you hike or ride the nearby Pacific Crest Trail or California Riding Hiking Trail. * There are several boutique wineries offering weekend wine tastings and live music within a few miles. * There is a taco shop within a few miles - open only on weekends. * There is a convenience store within a few miles - open 7 days a week.This is beautiful, private ranch property is intended to be sanctuary experience for true nature-lovers. We value the serenity of nature, and are wonderful hosts for folks who appreciate nature. We enjoy sharing our peaceful land with friends and Hipcamp guests who feel the same. This place is NOT well-suited for guests who wish camp with loud music, loud pets or loud vehicles. Located in the foothills wilderness north of Julian and east of Temecula Wine Country. A remote, dark sky location - perfect for sunsets and star gazing. Peaceful and private. Fabulous boulders and rock formations. Shady oak trees. Well water. Fresh eggs available ($6.00 per dozen from a neighbor). Hiking: Several wonderful hiking trails nearby, including the California Riding & Hiking Trail, and the PCT (Pacific Crest Trail). * Best option for larger campers: Park in one of our easy to access, flat terrain camping spots in the big field... * Best option for hikers or campers with rustic style or smaller footprint: Hike or 4wd to hilltop locations for view spots and tent-type campsites.

Special ranch with special hosts!
Peaceful Ranch in Mountain Valley
Our family of 5 had an AMAZING time here. We were guided into the ranch by Laurel and her sweet Guardian dog, LB. We felt very safe here, loved the ample space to freely roam among The beautiful oak trees and our kids loved climbing the boulder rocks. We appreciated having our own paved hiking trail on site that made us feel like we were in a completely different world. Laurels 40 acres is definitely a special and unique piece of land - water hose was nearby so we easily refilled our tank for our trailer. Bonus- were the 3 beautiful horses on site- Our girls loved them! We enjoyed some wine tasting nearby, dinner in Julian & a horse rodeo that weekend. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful Ranch Getaway

Peaceful Ranch in Mountain Valley
We had the BEST experience at Peaceful Ranch in Mountain Valley. The private setting is stunning. The ranch features gorgeous meadows, great hiking trails, and picturesque granite boulders throughout the scenic property. Our host, Laurel, was so welcoming and communicative before and during our visit. We felt very much at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. There is plenty of flat parking and nature is everywhere you look. The ranch is so peaceful and it was nice to have Laurel's ponies nearby to visit with. This was our first trip with a new (to us) 40' motorhome and Laurel and her lovely ranch made it a wonderful, memorable adventure for us! We plan to return and highly recommend the ranch to anyone that is looking for a quiet place to relax and unwind, surrounded by nature. Our pups loved it too!!!!

Peaceful Ranch in Mountain Valley
Laurel is a great host and made my family feel very welcome. My kids enjoyed meeting horses and playing with the dog Fluffy. There is plenty of space for a trailer and some nice hidden spots for tents. Nice and quiet. There are many trails on the property and if you are up for a short stroll you can get some exercise without leaving the property. There are several trails accessible directly from the property or by taking a short drive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful Ranch in Mountain Valley
Laurel and her farm was an absolute delight. I am so happy to have found this Hipcamp, it is perfect for large respectful groups (she just hosted a bunch of geologists! so cool!) and would be lovely for private events. Her land is beautiful with Oak Trees, amazing trails for hiking in the desert hills behind the home, and large fields for privacy if needed and perfect for stargazing! There is even a perfect spot by the horses where you can listen to them at night as you enjoy the stars. She has amazing amenities, like fresh chicken eggs for breakfast and a tour of the land! Laurel is super friendly, accommodating, and was really knowledgeable about the area. I'm really looking forward to spending a lot of time there at the ranch!
