Weekend Trip to The Coastal Redwood Cabin | Creek

This is a lovely place to go for a little R&R! Easy to get to, serene location nestled within the redwoods. There's stairs that lead you to the river. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding, complimentary snacks and coffee. We went in November so the hottub was perfect for the cool nights. Close by Capitola, which we love to visit and did some hiking at Nisene Mark's State Park. We recommend this spot and may be back next year.

I’ve stayed at plenty of campgrounds, but I’ve never seen one so beautifully kept. It’s immediately obvious how much love and care goes into this place. This is glamping at its finest — the communal area alone is worth the trip. There’s a massive, fully equipped kitchen, multiple firepits perfect for evening hangs, and even a big screen projector for cozy movie nights under the stars. What truly sets The Secret Gardens apart, though, are the hosts — Farbod and Yeyen. I’ve never met more hospitable, generous, and genuinely kind hosts in my life. They made the entire stay unforgettable with their warmth and thoughtfulness. If you’re looking for a magical, comfortable, and welcoming retreat in nature, this is the spot. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. 🌲✨

1 night at The Secret Gardens by the Bay

Farbod & his wife Yeyen have created a fairy oasis, big enough to host over a 100 campers their original vision was to create a family camp. Now they have terraced the land and it can comfortably host even the most picky of glampers. Farbod's hospitality is evident in how he offered me water, lit a fire pit and then treated me to dinner! A successful professional roofer, this extensive property is clearly his creative outlet. He has built everything with such intentionality yet continuities to build on a whim. The amenities like warm water showers, baths & sinks, toilets make this a glamping paradise. Yeyen showed me around leaving me with wild picked blueberries from the garden, fresh cut flowers and immune boosting juices from her company! This may be the most extensive HipCamp i've experienced in the states with the most loving and generous hosts. I left with new friends after my short night with them. I would recommend staying at least 2-3 nights to really linger in what the land has to offer.

We loved visiting the Secret Garden and booked the Caterpillar’s Hookah cabin. The property was easy to find and has amazing amenities. We enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen, the swinging bed, and the botanical bathroom. Will definitely book again! A couple things to know: as mentioned the hosts dogs are 1) large and 2) off lease. They hung out with as one evening which we didn’t mind but if you are worried about big dogs, keep this in mind. Second, only the botanical shower has hot water. Tested the other two and had cold showers. Still nice shower amenities though!

I was only able to stay for one night but found it comfortable, well-located, and with plenty of attention to detail. I would be happy to have stayed longer and would definitely go back if in the area.

This place is so magical that I want to keep Secret Gardens a secret! Tea House was clean and comfortable! The whole place has a million details of comfort and of whimsical and organic design. Our kids loved playing here and at the nearby beach. Yeyen and Farbod are gracious hosts, even hosting an outdoor movie night. We can’t wait to come back!

This is a magical place located in the forest and everything is curated to give you a unique experience. One of my favorite things about the place is the outdoor tub made out of a tree with water cascading behind you. The owners are super warm, welcoming and accommodating. You just have to experience it yourself!

3 nights at The Secret Gardens by the Bay

What a special place this is. The sheer amount of creativity and thoughtful design is more than remarkable… it’s absolutely brilliant. There is honestly no place on earth quite like it. It’s also important to note that the hosts, Yeyen and Farbad, are absolutely wonderful people. I could not recommend this place highly enough. I was reluctant to write this review because I selfishly hope this place stays a secret but it had to be done. 😊

Weekend Trip to The Secret Gardens by the Bay

We stayed in the boathouse and it was very accessible for seniors in the group. We are vegan and so preferred having a private cooking area. Farbod was very accommodating and placed a table outside our cabin for our propane stove as well as chairs and two fans as it was hot during my the day. The common lounge area had board games and created a nice communal space. There was a pizza making contest and music on Saturday which was fun to watch. A note that the houseboat is more barebones and not as furnished as shown in the listing pictures. The queen bed is in a side cozy space, and there are no curtain separators. It’s an open space with foldable bedding provided. It was still comfortable, but calling out, as my perception of what I was booking was different from the current setup. Overall, it’s a perfect for a rustic camping experience with amenities at hand. The shared shower and toilet is especially done welll, rustic and modern at the same time! The property has been developed with a lot of love and attention and is definitely something I’d consider again in the future.

Yeyen was super responsive and the grounds have a magic about them. All the guests were super friendly and the place is so clean and well-designed and artistically stimulating. Cannot wait to go back.

I came in late after a long 12 hour drive and Yeyen and her husband we so gracious and welcoming. I received a very warm welcome, by offering me a hot meal and to help me carry my things. I was also given the grand tour. I also was given an opportunity to switch to a smaller cabin since I was leaving early and it would be closer to my car. They were very flexible. I opted to stay in the cabin I had booked. It’s unfortunate that I had to leave early for another long drive the next day so I didn’t get to enjoy their little slice of paradise as I would have liked. I did come with 3 pets and just for your knowledge the doors do not have knobs or locks so a good bump and they could pop open—just something to keep in mind. They are located in a gated area so I felt very safe. Otherwise a peaceful, beautiful location. If I come through there again I will definitely stay and will be recommending this little piece of paradise to my friend who loves to travel too.

This place is amazing, a treasure around every corner. Incredibly well stocked kitchen, everything you could ask for. We stayed in the secret wagon, the bed is brand new and super comfortable. This place is a true gem. Better than the boring hotel/motels you can find around the area. Owners have put in so much effort and it shows.
