Splitrock Farm Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers. Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 200 foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. The tents in their secluded areas were delightful and to be outside soaking in the private tub devine. We enjoyed cooking our meals near the tent but were surprised to be invited to use a community kitchen.

A magical place! We were lucky enough to be there during a rainstorm and it was lovely. Don't expect anything fancy- this is, after all, a farm. But you will be able to enjoy serenity in your own little corner, with your own private soaking tub. The mineral water is simply rejuvenating. Ron, the host, is friendly and accomodating. And don't forget to get some dates- chemical free, fresh and delicious.

Our family really enjoyed camping at Mineral Springs date farm. The mineral springs tubs were a hit with the fam and our site had a heated tub as well which was great to relax in after a long day exploring Joshua Tree. The campsite had a bathroom with running water and a shower too. Last thing, we ordered Ramen and it was so good! Def going back!

Was so surprised to not only have parking for our trailer but a fully set up glancing tent. The personal hot tub was the best thing to wake up too. I didn't even need conditioner for my hair. Was so clean and great service. We will definitely be visiting again.

I love the Oak Grove area because we had a group of women about 12 and we all fit really good with our motorhomes, trailers, tents, cars. It was a beautiful grove. The whole mountain is beautiful thank you so much for making this a beautiful place for everybody to camp and have fun.

I have stayed in the communal area twice in the last 6 months with a large group of women and both times it was wonderful. Since my visit in June they have added two more flushing toilets to this area and a FANTASTIC outdoor shower with hot water. We hiked the campground and there is such a great variety of options for all kinds of camping. I would say if you are in a HUGE rig, you might be white knuckling it on the drive in, but once you are here, its simply glorious. Beautiful sunsets, fabulous views and the staff is FANTASTIC!! I can't wait to go back

Went as part of a group at the Oak Grove which was set under large oak trees and was nice and shaded. Lots of land to take walks and explore. Met the goats a few times as they roam free through the property. Bathrooms with flush toilets are clean and unique hot showers also. My sty was beginning of November. Not too cold not too hot. Enjoyed the stay!

Weekend Trip to Mineral Spring Date Farm
We loved camping at the Mineral Spring Date Farm. Ron and Myung welcomed us and we signed up for the Kimchee Ramen our first night which was delicious! We had a wonderful campsite which was private surrounded by date palms. We soaked in a large rubber tub which we could fill with wonderfully hot mineral spring water from deep down in the aquifer 100s of feet under the ground. Palm Springs is only a half an hour away and we enjoyed the Agua Caliente Cultural Museum, a must see. To remember our visit, we purchased a couple pounds of dates to take home, which were delicious and tender. Highly recommend this unique campsite to anyone wanting something special.

Very cool property, beautiful San Diego Mountain scenery. I walked the property several times with my dog and she got to meet some goats and a nice Great Pyrenees. Checked out some other empty camp sites that I would want to rent next time for multiple days. The hilltop one looked awesome and there another hill too structure you can drive/walk to. Definitely will come back. Nice granite on the property. Makes it feel like Joshua tree with out the drive
