Many guests, however, find the waterfalls, forest, and dark skies here more than enough to fill their stay. Guests explore private trails, try their hand at gold panning, scramble granite boulders, or borrow a free kayak for nearby Shaver Lake. Rugged yet accessible (4×4 helpful in winter), Musick Creek Falls offers creekside camping, mountain views, and exceptionally clear night skies. Four secluded sites keep a light footprint on the land and include composting toilets, fire rings, and picnic tables. Our conservation ethos is guided by the original caretakers of this region—the Nüümü, known today as the Mono or Potuck people. Rather than relying on massive machine-cut firebreaks, aerial pesticide spraying, or “pines in lines” replanting, we take a slower, place-based approach. We use controlled burning, hands-on fuel reduction, selective native plant culling, and encourage the land to regenerate naturally. Just as important, we believe sharing the land is essential, because stewardship only lasts when people are connected to it. This is a rugged mountain property. Terrain can be steep, rocks near the creek are often slick, and nights are very dark. Campers should be prepared for off grid camping and up for adventure!

We renovated our cabin fully in the summer of 2024, knocking out lots of closed in walls and gutting the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms completely changing a dated 80’s style cabin into a modern contemporary home. We had an amazing stay here; the peaceful sound of the waterfall and the privacy made this spot feel like a hidden oasis. Only an hour from Yosemite and just a few minutes from town, it was the perfect balance of nature and convenience.
This was the first camping trip for a couple members of our group, and the bar might be set way too high now, what a great introduction to the outdoors. The host was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.
The flushable toilet and shower were clean and worked great, though they’re a short walk from the site, totally worth it for the comfort they provide.
Highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet, tucked-away spot to relax and enjoy nature. We’ll definitely be back!

This campsite is so beautiful! It really is right next to the creek and a short easy walk to a waterfall. We tent camped and brought our 3 little dogs and it was perfect. The sound of the creek was so peaceful. It's completely under tree cover so always nice and shady. The switchbacks on the way there are really tight, I wouldn't recommend trying to drive a trailer down there. Attached to the owner's house there is a bathroom and shower, as well as trash and recycling cans. However, it is quite a trek uphill to get there, or you could drive back up the hill to get there. At the site there is a shed with a camp toilet, which worked fine for us. They also have a fire pit, hose for water, and an extension cord for electric but it's not true hookups. The owners also provided firewood for a reasonable fee and had it waiting for us when we arrived at the site and offered more if we needed it. The only real negative for us (which wasn't really that bad) is there is a very visible driveway and car park down the road which has a light on at all hours and people driving down to turn around. Overall, I would definitely recommend this gorgeous site!

Everyone at the camp was amazing! The place had great views and we fell asleep to the sound of a waterfall every evening. Shandie offered to let us use kayaks at the nearby lake, we had wood for fires and it was quiet. There are little touches, like wood chips on the ground to reduce mud that quietly made it better. I would definitely recommend a visit, just don't trust the GPS coordinates. We had to drive a little further than our mapping program indicated, but only 2 minutes or so. However, it is worth the trip!

Love, love, loved our stay! It was raining but we car camped so it was ok! The host was kind and welcoming. The site was beautiful!! Right next to a little river and waterfall! The restroom and shower are next to the host’s garage which is quite a hike but there is a little shed with one of those bucket potty’s. We ended up using our own portable camp shower and potty the first night, but the second night we showered in their restroom after coming back from our trip to Yosemite before driving all the way back down to the camp site. The restroom was clean and well kept with a flushing toilet and warm water! The hosts had wood available for sale if you forget to pick some up. The wood pieces were huge and worth the price in my opinion. Kept us warm and cozy all night. I would 100% come back to camp here again!

I absolutely loved camping here. Wendy and Hudson are the perfect hosts. The property is stunning and one of a kind for the area. Another commenter said they would love to gate keep this place but the truth is this property and these hosts deserve to be seen. There is a bathroom with shower at the main house which is new and well kept as well as a bucket loo at the campsite which I found completely adequate. The falls and creek were so amazing and peaceful to see and fall asleep to. Very solo camper friendly. I can't wait to go back ❤️

Musick Creek Falls is a really special place and our new favorite camping spot. Shandie, Jesse and Randy were so friendly, accommodating and generous literally the best hosts ever. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. No matter which of the spots you book you will be happy. They are all unique and offer their own stunning views and are just far enough apart that you still have some privacy. The waterfalls are beautiful and offer all kinds of unique little places to explore along the creek.

I want to leave a bad review just to gate keep this place to myself because it was that UNREAL! This is the perfect set up tuccked down the corner of a dirt road with a fire ring, picnic table, lounge chairs, a hose, access to a full bathroom/shower (slightly up the hill), WAG Bag toilet at the site in a shed AND a power outlet. Had plenty of space for my 6 man tent (very flat), hammock and camp couch. Not to mention the private trail to your own mini waterfalls! 30min access to YNP South Entrance, 1.5 hours from YNP Valley and Glacier Point! Would definitely reccomend and will most definitely be coming back frequently. The exact weekend I needed at a site with the perfect amenities 🤞🏻

What a beautiful place a little off the grid!! We camped at midway lookout and it was a great spot. The owners were very accommodating and nice. They made sure we had firewood at night and even drove some kayaks to the lake for us to borrow. Shaver lake is only about 10 minutes away from camp. We would definitely return.

We loved this campsite. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. In fact we decided to stay an extra day it was so nice! A couple of things to note: this site is way more private than any pubic camp ground. That said there are a couple houses with minimal view of the creek. The site is at the end of the road which means the neighbor, delivery trucks, and the like use the front part of the lot to turn around daily. We were definitely left alone and no one was a bother to us as we were tucked away in the back under the shade of the trees. The sound of the creek and close location of the falls are divine. We stayed here for the close proximity to the park and bass lake, but I’d have been content to just stay at the site and hang by the creek the entire time.

Hosts were awesome and really helpful. They went out of their way to help us when we needed it and always offered great options for our kids. The swimming holes are amazing! We stayed at the midway lookout to ensure that our young ones weren’t too close to the falls, but the other campers with sites right on the water always allowed us access. The compost toilet is well maintained and easy to use. Roads are a little rough and some trails are still being established but the magic of the swimming holes in this location is so special. The stars are also spectacular at night.
