40 ft fifth wheel

3 nights at Easy RV Vista

It's a lovely spot, very convenient to all of north San Diego county. It's inland enough to be subject to warmer temps, but in early Summer, it is all June gloom and temps are lovely. But you'll be needing those hookups because solar will get you next to nothing when it is overcast until 3p every day. I loved the neighborhood. Friendly folks stopped by to say hi when it was apparent I was going to be around for a bit. The neighbors across the street have a VERY active volleyball and basketball court that might qualify as noisy if it weren't exactly the kind of noise I find super pleasant to listen to - people having outdoor fun with their friends. And they were never late or early with it. The hosts were super accommodating of my doing pretty significant work on my RV while I was there - I resealed my roof and then installed a whole bunch of solar - I asked first. They received deliveries. The made some scrap wood available to me. I worry I may have overstepped what they thought they were committing to, but I made sure to try to keep the site very presentable except when I was actively working on it every day, so I hope it wasn't unwelcome. Various neighbors tried to recruit me to fix their RVs on several occasions. Turns out the nearest dump station is also really convenient. I didn't discover that until I had already made other plans, but the local Elks lodge is super convenient.

1 night at Grey Blooms Flower Farm

It's a simple spot. Easy access but the driveway is steep and wouldn't be fun with a larger trailer pulling off that fast road. Like the host says. It's a safe place to stay for the night or 2 before continuing on. We used our trailer as a cheap way to stay near the beach and surrounding area vs having to pay crazy hotel prices on a holiday weekend. The grounds need to be clean. I would've not been happy had I brought my dog with the amount of weeds that could've gotten in her fur. It's again cheap and simple. Shaded in the evening but not most the day.

Weekend Trip to Ranch Blooms

Perfect hideaway to camp while I was there for a wedding weekend. The hosts were great and communicative, really grateful for the stay and would definitely stay there again if the local campgrounds were full!

4 nights at Easy RV Vista

I'm conflicted about giving the review this spot deserves for fear of it becoming popular, because I'm quite certain I'll be back. Vista is charming, the spot is lovely, and the hosts are responsive and pleasant. Very easy in and out with the largest of rigs, despite the driveway giving every appearance of being tight and getting tighter, it opens up around the first bend. It's not pull through, but it's as easy to back into as a space is likely to be. And they are long. Lots of room for your other vehicle if you have one, and your toy hauler patio door, too. Water pressure isn't huge, but sufficient. 30A electrical. My 50A trailer popped the breaker when I plugged it in, and the breaker was not at the pole, so that took a moment to resolve, but no big deal. I just powered down one inverter and everything played nice after that. I'm wired to be able to run any circuit off of either inverter (or both) precisely to handle that problem. I love the neighborhood. It's one of those places that (feels like it) was populated before the area was incorporated into a town and there were any rules. It feels like it is a real little community all sharing a driveway/road. People are outside - cooking, playing, hanging out. It's lovely. In conclusion - don't come here. You'll hate it 😄😈

Weekend Trip to Coastal Vintage Glamping - 2 Sites

Javier & Belinda went above and beyond to accomodate us on a last minute visit to Oceanside. The adorable vintage camper fits the aesthetic of their entire property beautifully. It has it's own entrance and garden with patio and firepit, and feels safe and homey. We enjoyed the 30ish minute walk to the boardwalk, explored town, had a great sushi dinner, and walked it off on the way back. As others noted there is noise from the I-5 freeway in the distance. To us it was like white noise, but I can see that earplugs would help for those sensitive sleepers. We'll definitely keep this place on the top of our list for our next Oceanside visit. Weekend Trip to D&J Stables

The site was not what we expected but it was a good experience! The Hosts were extremely welcoming and hospitable and very easygoing! About 20 minutes from downtown San Diego and a very affordable place made our stay very enjoyable!

2 nights at Happy Hens Farm

This is a sweet place for families to stay and enjoy a piece of farm life (animal and farm machinery lovers alike)! The location is so well kept and there’s a lot of intention that is going into this farm. It feels intimate and friendly yet they’re pulling off big things here that left me pretty amazed. The actual camping spot is a single space just off their parking lot, we had a larger rig (35’ motorhome) and fit perfectly and also gave us some decent privacy. There’s a wonderful farm shop with lots of neat goodies, (also a drive thru which you need to be mindful especially w/littles). The petting zoo is well set up; clean, happy, friendly animals and signs posted w/particular animal facts that a homeschool family can really appreciate! It looks like they are pouring love to future generations through this piece of land and I look forward to visiting and seeing what comes from Truly Happy Hens!

Easy access, really quiet, nice and clean, safe. Big Gravel lot with electric and water hook ups. If you have an rv ypu dont need much more then this... theres multiple dump stations not to far away... guajome, oceanside harbor and the moose lodge vista... we will be back

Weekend Trip to Happy Hens Farm

Car camped at their rv/tent space. Really clean area and had a bathroom that was indoors. I liked that they have a lot of animals near by to watch! If you don't like animals (goats, donkey, sheep, chicken) and their smells then probably not the best space for you. I have only mild allergies though, so maybe that why I didn't mind it. I loved that they had an outlet and a picnic table there. Easy going and early morning views are beautiful. Having a farm shop to go to on Saturday was also fun. Allot of good snacks and drinks to buy. It's a great place to stop for the night! Definitely a unique place! Will be back for sure.

Weekend Trip to D&J Stables

We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 horses. Our 3 horse LQ with 12ft short wall fit once unhooked in the space. We actually set up in space 4 as that was easier access to the gate into the stable area. Very clean, secure location with access to trails. Mostly we stayed here so we could leave the horses and visit our grand daughter at San Diego State. It worked well. Hosts were very accommodating.

Weekend Trip to Black Mountain Llama Farm

We had a GREAT one night stay at Black Mountain Llama Farm. Doug was fun to talk to and learn about the animals and farm from. The tent was comfortable and very spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom and outdoor kitchen area as well as patio with fire pit were setup perfectly and a nice outdoor space to utilize. See all the animals up close (especially the llamas and donkey) were highlights of our stay. Downtown Ramona was just a short drive away to checkout local spots. Leaving with fresh eggs and a vacuum sealed chicken made for great meals once we got home. Will definitely be coming back.

2 nights at Happy Hens Farm

We loved our stay here. It is not your typical campsite and in fact you are pretty much in the parking lot, however my four year old says it was the best vacation ever and that was my goal! Lots of animals to pet, a very well-stocked farm shop, delightful owners with sweet kiddos who included my daughter in their games. The gates are locked at night (you get a key) so it felt safe. 30 amp electricity worked great and we had cell service so I could have done some work if I weren't too busy petting the goats! Thank you for a great stay!

What a FUN & unique experience. The glamping tent was cozy & the host was friendly and helpful. We loved seeing the llamas, turkeys, peacocks, & chickens. And the donkey Jackson was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Douglas was a phenomenal host. Our troop had a blast it was our first camping trip and they loved the farm atmosphere. Doug also gave a tour and the girls were able to have a hands on experience with goats, llamas and chickens. He was friendly and extremely informative about his animals. This farm is his passion and you can feel his appreciation and love.

Beautiful shady location my dogs absolutely loved running around and meeting other camping dogs they all had so much fun. It was a nice quiet location nice people not too crowded at all. We had plenty of space nice green grass and the horses and the birds just a little beautiful location

Since their passing, the Stables have been managed by their son Scott Tynan. Our stables offer a clean and quiet place for horse owners to board their precious companions - short or long term - or to serve as a weekend getaway for a person or group of friends/riders. Each Boarding Corral has walking space, shaded corners, automated water feeders, soft dirt, partially sheltered sides and is in close proximity to a round pen, a small arena (turnout) and is encompassed by a small walking track. No two corrals are close enough to each other for the horses to interact, reducing the likelyhood of mishap from a neighbor. Each Weekender Corral comes equipped with the same as the above, excepting only the partially sheltered side panels, and are right next to where you will be parking your trailer or camper. With access to all 38 miles of equestrian trails in the area and less than a 2 mile ride to the beautiful South San Diego beaches, D&J Stables is a prime location for horse men and women everywhere.
